#strangling them

I am required by law to drabble because I got the hiccups last night and they would not go away (call of duty and transformers crossover au)

………………………………………………………………………… Shadowseige was cruising on the freeway, his retractable roof up and the windows rolled up, making his way to the coordinates Megatron sent him for a planning meeting to prepare for a battle with the Autobots.

He had decided to bring Phillip along, in hopes of getting Megatron to warm up to the small human. Yes his boss may be trying to destroy the humans on this Earth in favor of taking over, but Shadowseige had grown fond of the tiny creature, for Graves wasn’t scared of him, though try as he might to scare off the smaller than average human, it would seem that his brain chemistry would not allow for him to be afraid of the larger alien, in fact Graves was nothing but in awe of him. Of course, Shadowseige knew that it meant that the former commander’s brain was not functioning as it should be and activating his fear response in order to protect itself, but that’s what made Shadowsiege so fond of the human. If his body would not protect itself, then Shadowsiege would have to protect the small one, almost as a guardian would protect a sparkling.

Speaking of the human, Phillip was in the backseat, sleeping somewhat peacefully, buckled in and his head leaning against the head rest. Occasionally, a turn or a bump would wake him, and he would flinch, look around to determine where he was, then adjust his position, and go back to sleep.

However, this time, when a car nearby honked at another one for cutting it off, Phillip coughed, and stretched out before going back to his position.

It would also be interesting to him to see humans stretch. To pull or push their body parts to a point of faint pain, only for them to allow themselves to pull back in and let out a sigh, as if it was the greatest experience in the world and then just… stay there for a while. It was so intriguing to him , how does pain result in relaxa- HIC!

Shadowsiege’s lights flashed momentarily in surprise, before focusing on the man riding in the back seat, who had suddenly gripped the seat.

“What was that?” Shadowsiege asked, his internal cameras watching the small man.

Graves relaxed his grip on the seat, holding up a finger and going silent, staring at nothing in particular, and he started holding his breath.

“Phillip. I asked you a question-“ HIC! Shadowsiege went quiet. Now that he had been watching him, the weird noise seemed to have come from the humans chest, and its upper body appeared to have jolted. Shadowsiege may not know much about humans or their ways, but he knew whatever that was, it wasn’t normal.

“Dang it- Sorry, I’ve got the hiccups. I’m- HIC! fine.” Philip sure didn’t seem fine,especially since he was being interrupted by the noises, so he changed lanes onto an exit, then pulled off into an abandoned gas station, and came to a stop behind the building, carefully watching the human who was glitching at intervals the entire time

Transforming carefully around the human in a way so that when he came out of his alt mode, he was kneeling in the ground and holding the jolting human in his servos.

”Why are you glitching?” Shadowseige asked, running scans on the human to try and determine the problem “As far as I’m aware, humans don’t have parts that would cause glitching like this” He said, poking his finger at the humans chest a few times to try and get the glitching to stop.

Phillip chuckled, made the noise again, and started chuckling again immediately after. “I promise I’m not- HIC! -glitching. Just the hiccups. It’s completely normal for humans, you can- HIC! -look it up.” He said, putting his hands on Shadowsiege’s servo to stop the poking.

Shadowsiege huffed as he looked online, then looked back down at the human in his palm when he had found out what he needed to know. “You are hiccuping??” Graves nodded, his shoulders jumping up with each ‘hiccup’

“I do not like this hiccuping. And you cannot control it either?” He frowned, watching as the human shook his head. “I can try to- HIC! -stop them if you’d like, but it doesn’t always work”

Shadowsiege nodded, watching as the human took a deep breath… and then held it. Confused, Shadowsiege tilted his head, watching the human with interest. After some time, he let go of the breath, sucking fresh air back into his lungs

“What was that for?” He asked. Phillip scratched the back of his neck “It’s a technique used to get rid of hiccups. And I believe it worked. See? No more hiccups” He said holding his arms out. Shadow siege narrowed his eyes, and pressed a servo to Graves’ chest, holding it there to feel if the hiccups were truly gone. The human tensed, clenching his jaw slightly

“Your finger is cold.” He accused, and Shadowsiege simply rolled his optics. “Deal with it.” He growled, and Phillip stuck his tongue out at the robot, causing the alien to snort. “Don’t you get snippy with me, human”

”Fine. You seem to be alright I guess. Ready to get back on the road? Megatron wont be happy if I’m late.” Graves nodded, and Shadowsiege transformed back into his alt mode, pulling out from behind the building and getting back onto the freeway. This time however, he subconsciously continued to look through the internet about hiccups, and to learn what he could about these intruiging creatures.

hemlo!! thank ya'll so so much for enjoying this lil comic series!! i know it's been a year since the first part, but most importantly i finished it 💀✨️

every single tags ya'll leave on me posts and past questions i recieve about this au is super appreciated, they make me smile the widest you have no clue!! im just a lil mad at myself that i couldn't expand on this au more so yall could have had more crumbs. irl stuff happened + still getting the hang of drawing and socializing again after years of doing neither of those 😭

but still, im glad i could share this comfort comic i made for myself, and for you guys too. it's a pretty personal one despite the characters not being mine 😅 i hope that you can walk away from this story believing (entirely or not) that someone out there still thinks of you, whether they're from a late/absent loved one who still wants the best for you or a dear friend who will make room in their hearts for you. life will never not be hard, but if you keep them close to your heart, adulting will be bearable 🫂
