A week or two after Ithaca saga
Odysseus: (eating lunch with his wife and son) -get it?! I responded to his rhetorical question with a literal answer-
Penelope: (nodding along, unfazed)
Telemachus: ….(nervously sips drink) (chokes and spits it out)
Odysseus: My boy, are you alright?
Telemachus: Yeah- uh, just, what kind of wine is this?
Penelope: (tastes her cup, hums) interesting. It doesn’t look like wine, either…
Odysseus: (frowns and smells it) ….what is this..?
Telemachus: (looks into ‘wine’ pitcher) ….father?
Meanwhile, up in Olympus:
Ares: (giggling) he’s finally trying it-

HGNJFHDGSGN EPIC ATHENA DESIGN.. this shouldnt of taken me so long geulpp.,,,
Tumblr media
i wanted my athena to be a bit more unique than just. OWL. so i made her a living statue!!!
the designs on her armour/spear are based off of doric architecture and her colour palette is very neutral and dull :33
again, she could pass as human at a glance, but if u stare at her for a little too long u notice how her nails blend in with her fingers and how her scars chip away at her skin.

Heres a young Telemachus hiding from the suitors (aka a younger Antinous)
because ive been thinking about the fact he was practically bullied by grown men who were preying after his mother his entire childhood lately

Solas recognizes the injustice and abuse suffered by everyone else, but can’t let himself accept it in himself. It all begins and ends with Mythal, and while the circumstances are mythological and world-shaking, the core of that belief is tragically “mundane” (meaning here "of this earthly world rather than a heavenly or spiritual one", not that it's trivial).
It’s the same thing we see in real life when you love someone unconditionally who doesn’t return it without conditions. You want to believe they love you the same way, and sometimes you’re blinded (either wholly or willfully) to the hard fact that they don’t.
I don’t think Solas accepted that he was a slave (he knew it deep down), because he couldn't accept that Mythal didn’t love him as an equal rather than as an “insubordinate and unmanageable” “lapdog” who is in her “service.” He was branded with a vallaslin, and knew “those cruel markings” were slave markings, but he couldn’t accept that Mythal would consider him a subservient. He has her on a pedestal because it's too painful to admit she's down in the mud with the other Evanuris.
ANFH, Subjected to His Will, and his reaction to the geas are these moments where Solas projects the truth of himself onto the situation and speaks or acts out what he can't otherwise say/do with respect to himself. He knows Mythal strong-armed him into a body and used him against his purpose, but he can only safely give that thought voice when it's related to someone else. He kills the mages (again on this blog, he does it regardless of what you want) and encourages Cole to hold onto being a spirit because that’s what he wishes he’d done as much as those were things he could never do. He bluntly calls the geas slavery and that it makes the bearer "Mythal's creature," but he can't admit that Mythal twisted him into the same.

"Given the marathon that Jane’s uterus had just been through, it’s likely that her uterus would have a reduced capacity to contract and effectively expel the after-birth contents of her uterus; lengthy labours tend to shred the membranes, especially if, like Jane, her membranes had ruptured early in her labour. I believe that here is where the best intentions again contributed to disastrous consequences. Wanting to ensure the best possible outcome, Henry bucked confinement tradition by inviting male physicians into Jane’s lying-in chamber. While we might see a physician’s help as a good thing, please keep in mind that Tudor era physicians weren’t trained in obstetrics. Had Jane’s immediate postpartum been similar to the above description, a physician would likely not have been well-versed in how to manage it. Had the midwives noticed retained tissue, they probably would have known to remove the offending product, manually if necessary, causing Jane further discomfort. To a Tudor physician, this would have been appalling, and protocol dictated that the physicians had seniority. Had they forbade an intervention, it would not have occurred."

Echoes of Wisdom Headcanon Countdown
༺ Day 42▪︎ 57 Left
The goddess statues in BotW's Hyrule are not Hylia herself - as her soul still resides in Zelda. (Zelda can't pray to herself and have results, hence why her power never appeared through the springs). However, as a being in tune with the flow of time, Hylia was able to leave a lingering of her essence behind. This gives the statues the abilities to communicate with one another as if with their own sentience, as well as bestow blessings when given sufficient offerings. This is also why they only seem to deviate from the same "script" when met with unprecedented complications, but they can still have their connections restored when broken.

The whole feminist thing with Medusa being victim of rape from Poseidon and punished by Athena. Whom a lot people believe to be feminist when actually demeter is there she challenge Zeus. Do you know about lilith being the first woman before eve thing? Yeah lot people claiming her as feminist icon for not submit to Adam and do people forget? She killed babies rape man and harming pregnant woman
Yeah ppl think woman harms man therefore she’s feminist. Medusa doesn’t have a single source where she helps a woman, while Athena does (tho she also has myths where she harms women but that’s another story). Demeter isn’t really feminist either since she definitely harmed countless women by basically inventing winter, but she’s still iconic and a great mom and anyone who puts Zeus in his place I will defend with my life.
