Clerics in D&D, as I understand them, differ from BG3 mechanics in that they pick one domain (as a subclass) and the domain HAS to belong to the god they worship. For example, Lathander's domains are Life and Light, so you could be a Life Domain Cleric or a Light Domain Cleric, but NOT a Tempest Domain Cleric. You want to be Tempest, you have to pick a god that claims Tempest.

Anyways.

This is going to be a set of 4 polls. I'm going to use the seven cleric subclasses from the Player's Handbook, with their descriptions from BG3.

Hylia (also called the Goddess of Light) is the main protector goddess of Hyrule. She was tasked with guarding the power of the Triforce, and went to battle against the demon Demise until her last breath to keep it safe, before sending it skyward with the surviving humans. She then reincarnated herself as the first Zelda, and is the reason all Zeldas until now have had light abilities and sealing powers. She also created the sword that would one day become the Master Sword.

Besides this, she's also somewhat associated with time, as it takes time travel through gates that bear her seal in order to follow the path of destiny she laid out for the Hero.
