favorite thing abt archie as a character is whenever there’s a poll like “which ofmd crew member is most likely to do [funny stupid thing]” she usually wins by a landslide. and it’s great bc the crew is a whole roster of mostly male characters who are ALL pretty likely to do funny stupid shit, but we all agree archie is the most prone to ridiculous and ill-advised goofs. and it’s not often we get to have a female character like that, usually in groups of background ensemble characters like the crew of the revenge women are either absent or are relegated to “only braincell” or “nagging buzzkill mom friend.”

Why did they make the romantic wham line of the finale love letter "we've written our names on each other in permanent ink" when a) matching commitment tattoos would be a wholly believable and in-character thing for Stede and Edward to do, b) they explicitly have not done so to the point of deep irony that Edward's full back "trust no one" is the closest thing that comes to mind, and c) Edward does have matching swallow tattoos (canon) and potentially signature related tattoos with a whole different man (and the writers have got to know about that popular theory, yeah)?????

In the days leading up to the event, Queens Shmira – a Jewish neighborhood safety group – announced that the real-estate sale had been moved to a different venue. According to a statement from Queens Shmira, the venue “has since changed to accommodate a larger audience and will NOT be taking place at Congregation Charm Circle.”

“The protesters’ intention is to intimidate and we will not be intimidated,” the statement added.

Although the event had been moved to a different location, on Sunday anti-Israel protesters nonetheless descended on Congregation Charm Circle, where they were videoed calling for an intifada against Jews and waving Hezbollah flags. Hezbollah, an Iran-backed terrorist organization based in Lebanon, has been launching rockets, drones, and missiles at northern Israel daily as Israeli forces simultaneously battle the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas to the south in Gaza.

In response, counter-protesters waved Israeli flags and called for the release of the roughly 120 hostages still being held by terrorists in Gaza since Oct. 7.

The protest spilled over to a nearby basketball court, where pro-Palestinian demonstrators could be seen shoving the counter-protesters. The New York City Police Department (NYPD) attempted to de-escalate the situation, but there were no reports of arrests being made.

Local politicians took to X/Twitter to express outrage over the anti-Israel protests targeting a synagogue.

“The event changed venues but the protesters didn’t care, harassing Jews for the crime of going to pray,” New York State Assemblymember Sam Berger, who represents Kew Garden Hills, wrote on X/Twitter.

US Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY), who also represents Kew Garden Hills, condemned the demonstration on social media.

“The events that took place outside of Congregation Charm Circle in Kew Gardens Hills are deeply concerning,” she posted. “Harassing people outside of their house of worship is unacceptable. While everyone in the US has the right to protest, there is no place for hate, violence, & antisemitism.”

The protest at Congregation Charm Circle come only four weeks after the violent anti-Israel demonstration outside of Adas Torah synagogue in the heavily-Jewish Pico-Robertson area of Los Angeles.

(aesthetic post) ass patches very cute distinctive motogp thing!! like the cheesy championship celebrations... or hand grabbing on cooldown laps... or how the leathers have weird humps and look deeply awkward to walk in but inexplicably motogp keeps making the riders shoot almost all the promo material in them... tbh motogp really did need valentino because the sport is just conceptually too fruity to be allowed to remain the reserve of the hyper masculine sphere. like it's a shame that it's still just heterosexual men riding those bikes - but at least it got that sorely needed injection of camp and fun. actually I should've mentioned the ass patches thing in the original post because of course that too is something valentino heavily influenced, concurrently with a similar evolution in motocross (x)

in general I really am just pro riders having Things. I also think jorge's 'the martinator' thing very finely straddles the line between cringe and camp... and camp ofc in the truest sense is failed seriousness, like it's very campy in the disconnect between the attempted coolness and the profound silliness of what we are witnessing. idk part of the joy of motogp 2 me is watching vinales dress up as a gorilla between my fingers or hiding my face in my hands as pecco pulls out a guitar or sliding off my chair and hitting the mute button whenever marc starts dancing on podiums. the artifice and the performativity and the drama is what gives the sport life... it wouldn't be the same if it weren't so dumb

Third entry on my "Acctualy the PJO fandom isn't as great as y'all like to think it is" roll, and I already know I'm going to get hate for this. Anyway, I'm taking a Lukercy shipper over a Percabeth shipper any day.

When I say that,as a new fan, most the shipping drama comes from Percabeth shippers and just their general corner from what I observed, I am NOT lying.

Some of y'all are rabit- especially with your hatred of any girl getting it on with Percy that isn't Annabeth (*cough* Calypso and Rachel *cough*) And good god the reactions I saw from some of y'all to people who said they disliked Percabth. Lukercy shippers on the other hand? Nah coolest people ever. Literally just chilling in a corner doing their own thing. Most respectful group of shippers I have seen in any fandom. I have multiple mutuals who ship Lukercy, each one is the coolest most chillest person ever. Personally, I see Lukercy in a more platonic sense, when to topic of that ship ever came up the convo literally was just : "yeah I ship Lukercy" "Oh, okay. Personally not my cup of tea 'cause I see them more platonic" "lmao cool, anyway-" Meanwhile how it went when I talked about not liking Percabeth :

"I don't really like Percabeth tbh. I don't think their characters fit together and I'm just not that invested with Percy and Annabeth as a whole" "OMG How could you say that ! -Enter an essay about how great Percabeth is and how this is wrong, and how my opinion is a bad faith statement and toxic-"

I mean those interactions alone speak for themselves. And with all that being said huge hearts to all the Lukercy Shippers out there.
