Minty's Anti-Leaving Cert Propaganda

Just remembered that the leaving cert starts today. So glad I'm finished school lol. But seriously, good luck to everyone doing their leaving this year! Hopefully they don't betray you like they did to me last June (Bishop wasn't on English Paper 2 and I nearly lost my mind)

A bit of train study to catch up with my readings

We would like to remind everyone that the conversations you have in the library can be heard by all in attendance. I'm trying to study for my geology quiz I do not need to hear about "How tasty them toes were."

I had an entire day of painting and I decided I wanted to paint Annatar from The Harrowing by Chthonion, because he is a very expressive character and therefore very fun to draw :D

Here's some close ups~

These are all somewhat paraphrased btw-

For a general idea, picture one (top left), can be applied to pretty much any scene where Annatar has a cup of tea, the one to the right of that is a representation of Annatar's thought processes during chapter 39.

Next row- we have Annatar after his nightmare and subsequent language mishaps, valiantly fending off any attempts to call up the actual master healer in the house- and next to that Annatar's Look™ which anyone who upsets people who are important to him (looking at you- names starting with C) have been on the receiving end of.

And on the row below that we have Annatar laughing for once (because I saw all the other pictures I had done and decided I needed at least one picture of him smiling), which is directly after Frodo plays that card in association- and the one next to that is pretty obvious, Annatar making tea when Finrod's upset and he's not sure how to handle it. Then the last one is from chapter 39 (again), and I think Maedhros was more like 'is that food?' but eh. The feeling is the same~ (even if Annatar had to think about it before he decided he could actually say it).

i love this detail so much bc this is what a real monastary looks like^. wu cheng'en would have passed by this kind of building 800 years ago and thought to himself "hey that's a face" and he decided to make it a key plot point in his novel. the secret novel he wrote instead of doing his government work. god he's just like me fr.

Research for an au fic I’m working on: how would Azula act and behave in a modern setting? And I don’t mean re-imagine her character within a modern context and stories. This isn’t Azula, but she’s an overachieving American high schooler with strict and overbearing parents, or Azula, but she’s the soon-to-be CEO of her father’s multinational conglomerate based in Japan or something. No, I mean how would Azula as she is in canon, Fire nation princess and all, act and behave if you simply just took her from her world and plopped her into [insert current year you’re reading this]?
