barbie was a good movie but honestly there wasnt anything special about it to me, i never connected with barbies as a kid, i dont feel connected to any of the ways they protray gender in the movie. I'm a trans guy who has never really experienced any gender specific, Ive never experienced actually being a woman (both the good and bad parts, never been catcalled or objectified, and ive never had any kind of girl moment with my friends or anything like that). And as a closeted trans guy I've never really experienced being a man either, and the movies portrayal of both genders meant absolutely nothing to me. (also the theme of moms and shit, I dont really have any negative or positive connection with my mom so that meant nothing to me too) The most i connected with anything in that movie was allan and even then i didnt really feel like him. So I liked the movie, it was good it was funny it was cute, but it was just like any other good movie to me and honestly felt overhyped

Ko-Fi requeest for T! day 50!

(they gave me a couple ideas for the prompt too, one of them being a poetry read! i thought it might be cute if instead of snapping they did like. soft little howls)

The second part was extra as a v fun exercise! I think werewolves in general would have a lot of diversity in style and shifted/half-shifted forms so this gave me an excuse to play around with that :) thought I should include a werehyena bc that's the wolf substitute for the shape-shifters of African folklore (and *jaguars in south america, tigers in India, etc!)

Also in doing a little bit of research for Black werewolf characters I found this super cool werewolf comic I wanted to highlight by Michelin Hess, a Black author/artist! She has other work that you should check out too. In fact, feel free to shout out any of your favorite Black artists in the comments or tags! Or let me know the other ways y'all are celebrating this month :)

hi guys. same situation as earlier this month but for november, my dad is a certain amount of money short from the total he has to have to pay off for my grandma's stay at the care home she's in, and as her sole caretaker (she's late stage alzheimer's and physically disabled so it's. Orv is suchhh a good fandom for fan analysis and meta and theories like what we do here on tumblr, because it IS that deep and you ARE meant to be reading into it, unlike a lot of other writers of media with big fandoms who seem to actively despise their fans and people analysing their work. I'm talking about bbc sherlock and supernatural here mainly, not to name names. Both of those have themes and motifs that you could read into, and many do, but it feels like you are stubbornly fighting against the writers to enjoy their work, rather than working with them to explore it to it's fullest.

But not orv. Here they even acknowledge the ridiculous nature of what they are trying to do with orv, and the critisisms a skeptic might have.

Animal Appreciation Hour

I really like cows, bears, and donkeys.

It's a random assortment of animals but lately every time I see a donkey, I smile. I lowkey don't care much for horses but donkeys, to me, are so kind and overlooked. I like their squeaky braying. I like their big brown eyes. Their protectiveness.

This translates to cows pretty easily because cows have gorgeous eyes as well.

*jumps in seat and squeals mentally*

Cowwwws. I like their moo's and their excited, bouncy little trot when they recognize someone they enjoy. They're so uncomplicated and deserve all the good things.

Then the hilarity of bears. Oh, I've always loved those goofy bears. I wish they didn't need to maul me in defense of their lives or territory because I would be a bear-hugger every day. Talk about an emotional support.
