Sophie and Oralie's relationship is so interesting to me because I feel like Sophie is trying so hard to convince herself that she's nothing like Oralie but in book nine we start to see how similar they actually are and I want to see how Sophie handles that and if she'll come to terms with it. I also want to add that I completely understand her reaction to finding out, she's a fifteen year old girl who's been lied to by someone she trusted, she's not going to handle it like an adult because she's a child who's been hurt over and over again.

I just watched the two Lacey’s Game videos and I want to go on a little rant.

Spoilers! (Technically.) and CW for mentions of stalking and scary elements(?)

as someone really into horror these genuinely scared me. These videos were beautifully created and they are truly amazing and well put together horror. It’s less about the gore and more about the sudden increases in volume which make the atmosphere largely uncomfortable. It’s about the old fashioned flash games that people used to play as kids used to make the audience feel safe. It’s about the beauty of digital horror and hyperrealistic images hidden in a cutesy dress up game. These videos scratched every little itch for me, cause’ the horror I like the most are games that tell you you’re safe with pink colors and pretty girls, only to find truly terrifying horror. Another detail I really like is their use of audio (I already mentioned that, but here’s more.) Instead of going for loud jump scares, in the dress up game they use audios of heavy breathing, squishing, and noises that scare you more than jump scares ever could. Most of the time the audio won’t be shown wish imagery, which really leaves it to your imagination. I REALLY like how they use real life horrors instead of the scary monster or killer trope. The heavy fears of being stalked, and instead of it being this hot Yandere character like in other games (not dissing on those though) they’re someone highly disgusting. Digital horror is totally different from anything I’ve seen and I love it. I could honestly go on about this forever but you’d have to watch the videos to know how good it is. Watch out for mentions of SH, Abuse, drug use, etc though. It’s a really dark game.

I heard a lot of comments talking about the trailer scene of Charlie crying in front of Angel's door and how that means he might die or ascend to heaven, but this is my personal theory:

The scene happens before battle. Maybe even right after she gets back from heaven. We see how depressed she is in the episode 7 clip, so I think she was just walking down the hall (either aimlessly, to go to her room, or to seek out Angel) and the knowledge that Adam said they'd go after the hotel first hits her. She feels like a failure. She told everyone she could help and had a plan and it's all fallen apart.

I don't know, but I just feel like that scene happens before anyone gets hurt/dies. Episode 7 or early episode 8.

Hologram Janeway keeps breaking my heart. Not only does she continue to lose people throughout the two seasons, she also continues to lose herself - to the construct, to time, to self-sacrifice. And she's self-aware enough for that to hurt, and the pain she feels is so powerful that she even starts to lash out against Chakotay.

It's so obvious that she's grown beyond her programming. She longs to leave the ship, to be a true part of her crew and not the one who always gets left behind. She yearns for human connection despite knowing she's just a program; a copy of the real thing, even though it doesn't feel that way to her.

She feels and wants and loves and grieves, just like any other person, and I am so glad Chakotay found a way to save her. If we get a season 3 - and I very much hope we do because this show is brilliant - I hope she will get her own mobile emitter at some point because she deserves to have the freedom and opportunities it would give her.

this video is so aegon coded, in my mind (I am the eldest child, I technically ruined my mom's life, but she tries so hard to love me, she DOES love me, but our relationship is so strained because of the way she's treated me due to her own pain. I think I'm a good enough reference on this)

like. him and alicent. with all their messiness. at the end of the day, that's HIS mommy, and no matter what, even when he feels like he hates her, she is beautiful and perfect and no one can say a bad thing about her because he loves her and she loves him and that makes everything ok at the end of the day.

sometimes he's mean to her, she's too rough, he feels like he hates her, she can barely look at him. but god forbid someone insult her in his presence, he will actually have a breakdown. that's his mommy and he loves her and forgives her and hopes she can forgive him and just wants her to be happy so they can all be happy.

like little kid aegon, he was always playing with her hair and her jewelry, telling her she was pretty. gently poking at her face, like toddlers do, when she was upset, trying to figure out what was wrong. he'd hug her clumsily and tell her it was alright. and he remembers that, he remembers wanting his mom to be happy and to know she was beautiful and that he was there (again, in the way a toddler does) and he stills wants that. he wants to be small and to make his mom smile and feel better. that's his job! he's supposed to protect her and make her happy!

I especially imagine this happens frequently cause of how her father and his father treat her, how the court treats her, how everyone treats her. they all so mean to her, even in ways that are quiet and seemingly mundane. he must hate it. hate the way they tear her apart with their words and their eyes. the way they subtly mock her. he must feel so angry but so helpless and conflicted.

and it all boils down to him becoming a sobbing, snotty, (in his case) drunken mess and I love that for him (I mean I feel really bad, this shit sucks, but you know what I mean)

to love

you keep this homemade soup to yourself, and you've made too much. it simmers, you keep it warm for yourself, and nobody else. you long to share, but you're insecure, or afraid. what if they don't accept the offer, or what if they don't enjoy it? what if they push it away? it's slowly boiling. you made too much, and it could overflow any moment, but you're trying to hard to keep it under control. you don't want it to spill out. part of you wants it to, but it'd be a mess, right? your heart longs to love someone, to express love to those around you, but you're afraid. you keep it inside, along with so many other things, and can't bring yourself to properly express it. it's probably someone in specific you want to love, but something is in the way, a block of sorts. let yourself love freely. share your love, for you have so much of it inside of you.
