I think the comics should synergise a tiny little bit with the movies in regard to High Evoloutionary and Rocket being enemies. Not that I think it should be exactly like the messed up abusive creator/creation dynamic of the film (lord knows Rocket’s comic backstory is enough of an inconsistent mess already), but instead more like “this powerful, 1000+ IQ smug intellectual man who basically sees himself as/is pretty much a god-like being, gets shaken to his core/royalty pissed off when he’s out done intellectually by a fucking 3-ft tall furry abomination”
#gotg#guardians of the galaxy#high evolutionary#rocket raccoon#marvel#marvel comics#there is so much potential in a comics!HE and Rocket enemy dynamic fr#especially since HE in the comics is apparently way more stoic and collected compared to the more volatile/unpredictable film version#so it would be so goddamn funny if his breaking point was Rocket being smarter than him and/or generally pulling some loony tunes ass bull#idk man I just think supervillain who has beef with a tiny animal is just the best dynamic ever#also#as far as I’m aware the two have never interacted in the comics like ever#so the canvas is blank and full of potential#tbh comics!Rocket would probably hate comics!HE’s guts in general for the whole animal experimentation stuff#so I can see him beefing with this guy if he ever did anything to get in his way

Idk man I just think that mizu/ena5 and its progression was really beautiful actually. I just think that the release of the ena5 song was also really beautiful and kind of the nail in the coffin for me and I haven't been able to get the event(s) out of my head all week and that I kind of want to talk about it, actually.
It's about being hurt so deeply and continuously that any kindness that could be offered to you manages to feel like a sin, that it makes you crumble and shatter but for all the wrong reasons, not because of the newfound safety, not out of relief, but something worse and more deeply ingrained in you than kindness ever was. It's about carefully measuring the distance at which you keep others away from yourself, to ensure that it never happens again ("To save yourself the trouble", if that makes it easier).
It's about realizing that the people you've been spending all this time with are drifting closer, that they just might bump up against the unsightly parts of yourself that you've tried to keep locked away, it's about turning around and sprinting at full speed and slamming the door shut and holding onto the handle behind you to stop it from turning, because you're as frightened of the possibility of another wound being inflicted on you as you are of the possibility that kinder, gentler hands will reach out and smooth over the exposed scar. It's about hating eyes that judge and silently condemn you as much as you hate eyes that simply see you and take all of you in without scrutiny, because no matter what they're looking and they're looking at you and they know that your hand's on that door handle and they know that you're hiding something because, as much as you try to keep it shut, they've seen through the crack that you foolishly left open.
(The prominence of eyes in Bake no Hana, specifically eyes looking and searching, and finally landing on you, the viewer, Mizuki, is so fucking. Visceral in my opinion. Every character in the MV stares at the viewer in a deadpan, almost judging way. Even though Mizuki knows deep down that niigo won't really hate them, won't judge them, she just can't stand their kindness either; any gaze directed at her is a loss, another prick in their skin. It screams "don't look at me" while making sure that you know, with horrific certainty, that they're looking for you, that you're being watched. You can't go outside, can't leave your room, because they're searching for you, and while that should be reassuring, to you it's anything but).
It's about not wanting to be dissected, whether it's with hands that want to pull your organs apart or stitch them back together because no matter what they're there, and they're getting frighteningly close to your heart. It's about blinding yourself and covering your eyes to it all because seeing means exposure and exposure means they're taking something from you and you can't do anything about it, much less take it all back, much less have a say in the matter. Everyone's just taking and taking and taking and you wish you could just be alone. You wish everyone would just disappear and you could live in a world all to yourself, for only yourself (but is that really what you want?).
It's about the way that, near the beginning of the Yoka ni Mitoreta MV, Mizuki and her loneliness is represented as a dark, splotchy stain in the shadows. No colors, no patterns, no way to clean it or wash it all away, just raw ugliness marring a blank canvas. It's about the way that Ena reaches out to it anyway, the way she startles when the glass shatters just when she finally starts reaching forward, the way that the rest of the MV/song represents her searching for and reaching only further out to Mizuki, even if the broken shards of glass will only cut her fingers, potentially leaving scars.
It's about how, in every way, subtly, directly, consciously, and subconsciously, Ena shows that she fucking cares.
It's about the way that Ena lets Mizuki have autonomy, despite the situation being so horribly out of their control. And it's such a delicate thing: If she really wants to, Mizuki can take the opportunity to just run away, keep running forever, repeat the cycle over and over, and maybe she'll just destroy herself with it again, but it can't be denied that it's something important to them, something she can't quite live without just yet, their means of survival. Mizuki's autonomy is their identity, it's her tailoring her own clothes and choosing her own ribbons and styling her own hair the way she does. Ena letting them have that is as much about trust as it is about understanding that Mizuki of all people should have this right, when control was something stripped from her throughout so much of her life. She couldn't control how she was born, how people look at her or why, can't control what they think of her; lacking control has only left Mizuki vulnerable to the cruelties of others, has only caused them to suffer, which is why it's so important that it's given to them now.
She had the control to make the choice to see niigo's welcoming love and run away instead of staying, and she has the control to make the choice now whether she wants to keep things the way they are or take a step forward to be at their side again. She has every right to have it, and I think the fact that Ena realizes and respects that, even if it's subconsciously, is really beautiful (there is an entire fucking Verse about this in the new song and just. God Look at this. It's so caring, unconditional, and for fucking What. I think there is something to be said about how much Ena is willing to put aside for Mizuki, and maybe deep down it isn't healthy, but for now I'm just kind of in awe)
It's about how insanely patient Ena has been this whole time. Mizuki says that she basically lied to Ena's face about telling her their secret, even after Ena said with such conviction that she would wait for Mizuki as long as it takes, and Ena is just kept waiting and waiting and worrying like this seemingly indefinitely. It's about how Mizuki danced around it, avoided it, kept the distance, straight up ran when she was finally pushed, but Ena still chased anyway when she saw that she couldn't wait anymore, kept chasing just enough to intervene and get a straight answer out of Mizuki when she really needed to, but still leaving her enough space to leave if that was truly what she wanted. It's about how relieved Ena is the moment that Mizuki finally says outright how much they want to be with her and niigo, how much she wants to try, how much more light Ena's voice sounds when she grabs her hand, relieved, the way that the relief she feels can be felt through the music, throughout the entirety of Yoka ni Mitoreta, the way that warm colors always follow her when she chases after Mizuki, just to hold onto her and stop her from running away completely.
It's about how that careful combination of Ena's directness, Ena's persistence, Ena's warmth, her patience, her bluntness about her feelings, the way she chases and holds on but not too tight and her regard for how unsafe and exposed Mizuki feels actually works and breaks it all down. It's about how she really did reach through to Mizuki, despite the thorns and broken glass shards and nearly-unfulfilled promises, the way that Mizuki did finally let her turn the door handle and step through to see what she'd been hiding all this time, the way that Mizuki's hand, limp, when Ena first grabs onto it, shifts to hold hers back as they cry in the face of Ena's gentleness.
Despite how harsh Mizu/Ena5, and even Ena herself as a character can be (or at least was in the very beginning of pjsk), everything is somehow gentle and warm in the end, blindingly so. And you know what, I think that's beautiful. And what's even more beautiful than that is how Mizuki allows themself to crumble and shatter under that kindness, that warm light, but this time, finally, out of relief.
On a final note, I just want to say that I also appreciate how all that didn't have to solve everything. The scars haven't disappeared, haven't gone away, and Mizuki knows that their desire to run hasn't gone away forever, and maybe it never truly will. But for now they've calmed it, at least a little. She's learning to allow herself to be seen, learning that when someone's fingertips brush over their scars the way Ena's did that it's only out of care, and that maybe taking in that care and allowing herself to feel kindness and safety is okay. They're safe, for now, somehow. They're learning. They're trying. And I think that's cool :)

1920 Second Empire Victorian in Fitchburg, MA would make a great Gothic Manor- it's a blank canvas. 6bds, 2ba, 3,506 sq ft, $399,900.
Check out the Gothic doors in the entrance foyer. Can you imagine decorating this from scratch? Putting your own stamp on it?
Beautiful arch and original stairs. Look at the newel post. Can you envision it?
Huge sitting room could be a living/dining combo.
The dining room has a lovely little china cabinet. Is that a niche behind the radiator?
Okay, the kitchen I could live w/for a while, b/c it's dark. That is a very cool island- look at the metal frame and marble top. You could do something with that.
The primary bedroom is huge and has a wonderful fireplace and alcove.
There are 6 bedrooms, so there's plenty of space for everyone.
Linen and clothes closets in the hallway.
So much potential.
Not thrilled with the bath, but it's not terrible.
Look at this, there's another full kitchen up here. So, it's like a 2 family.
Finished attic.
Vintage tub.
There are only 2 baths in the house, so it looks like they were planning on adding a 3rd one.
Look at the porch and deck on the back. 0.42 Acre lot

⌜modern!au!hwei x gn!reader⌟ ╰ ❝ A WORK OF ART ❞
❥ prompt: Hwei takes you on a date. But you're not really the 'artsy-fartsy' type. ❥ content/warnings: established relationship, fluff, suggestive language/themes ❥ word count: 668 an;; i swore i would write something for hwei when he came out. i have fulfilled my promise...to myself lol.
"Tell me. When you gaze into this painting. What sort of feelings does it possess you with?"
"I'm possessed with the idea that someone spilled their coffee on it. And to cover it up, tried to wipe it away. But only smudged it around before deciding 'Ah, yes. This was an obvious intentionally stroke of genius. No one will suspect a thing.' And now, I'm feeling like I could go for a latte."
Hwei pauses, pinching his lips to side at your observation. He bows his head, as if coming to an inevitable conclusion. Which was, in fact, your glaring lack of an artistic eye. Still, he lifts a smile, not giving up on the idea that bringing you to a ritzy art gallery wasn't the worst idea he's ever had.
"Surely," he speaks low as to not disturb the other patrons busying themselves with the view, "you must have some inkling of emotion when you see it. Don't you?"
"Hwei," you finally turn, closing the galla pamphlet you were pressed to take. "You're asking an accountant what they think about art. Honestly, I'm more concerned about the price tag. In which case, I feel a sense of remorse for whoever plans to buy it. It's a blank canvas with a coffee stain."
"I'm beginning to think that you might lack just a fine hair of imagination." He bears a soft smile that washes away any nerve you have over his quip. He has a way of making his jests lighthearted and almost poetic. But that never meant he wasn't being truthful. Maybe that's what made him so dangerous to begin with. And that's what made you stall for a breath whenever you were with him.
Lifting an arm, he gestures for you to take it. You do, and allow him to escort you to whatever part of the gallery he wants to try and entertain you with. He's made a point to inspire you, and even mold you into someone who could potentially appreciate the crafts. He's put a lot of faith in potential. And that you could say, was not the most pragmatic way of going about things.
After a slow waltz to the next atrium, he brings you to stand before a chiseled, marble sculpture of a man. Carved with such expression and lines, it wouldn't surprise you if it started breathing. Quitely, you trace the statues body, down the the very detail of what was between his legs. By curve and size alone, you gather the artist didn't want this particular piece to be missed.
"It's giving me a sense of," you breathe in a refined breath for air, twirling a dramatic hand to the lower region. "Phallic."
You think Hwei will try to argue with you. Chastise you for your childish take on fine art. And possibly end the date early from sheer offense. Instead, he covers his mouth from his airy laughs.
"It seems you have a very good eye for these kinds of things. I knew I was dealing with an expert." A hint of amusement lightens the dark circles pressed beneath his sultry eyes. "I may or may not have have been thinking the same thing."
"My turn to ask the questions, then." You clear your throat, mimicking his ornate style of speech. 'Tell me. What sort of thoughts does it possess you with?'"
"I'm possessed with the thought"—he chuckles, closing the gap between your bodies. His lips mere inches away from yours. Whispering the last of his secret—"of how badly I want to kiss you right now."
"Really? In front of a Greek man's marbled penis, surrounded by a room full of voyeurs?" Your fingers take the fabric of his turtleneck, pressing him closer. "I would've never guessed this is what turns you on."
"Oh. You have absolutely no idea." Hwei concludes, quieting your breathy laughs with his lips. It blooms a cascade of warm tones in your chest, and you feel your cheeks bruise an intense hue of pink.
There's a time and place for when you would tell him.
That the way he makes you feel is your favorite work of art.

holy shit pinnie you really know how to write angst. i was reading your posts about Krulu killing the self of admin and i was flat out crying in my bed.
couple curiosities abt it though, is there any possibility that Admin could ever come back to their full self and is Krulu ever haunted by nightmares of Admin? (if he does sleep and dream that is. but i’m imagining like, Krulu finally getting a fitful night of rest and the moment he closes his eyes he’s greeted by admin back to their full self before being forced to lose them again by his own hands) Thank you for the wonderful content pinnie<3 your blog gives me great joy
[You're welcome! Really? Because most angst doesn't really inspire me. Stuff like "well, what if you killed yourself" or sporadic events that cause death just sort of tire me out. "What if reader cuts themselves?"/"what if reader is depressed?". I've grown very tired of those. The thing with you and Krulu was new.]
There were times after that specific scenario where I humored you coming back, but wrong. Not as an undead, but just fucked up. Something happened to your soul during the process, as is likely- Krulu has no idea how difficult it is to pry an intact soul from Dorem's hands these days. And you're clearly not the same person, everyone notices.
You lose track of things, you say stuff that you never would before, you seem genuinely apathetic over most of what goes on, in spite of the way Krulu trained you to feign care and respect. There are moments where that carefully drilled facade falters and you just look... Empty. Confused. As if asking why you're still alive. You're not truly there, some part of you was forever obliterated in this process, memories are missing, your capacity to love is non-existent, as is the ability to hate.
Sometimes, when you have nothing specific to do, you'll grab things that can potentially kill a human and just look at them for a long time. It goes against your indoctrinated mind to hurt yourself, because Krulu would take it as an insult- But you also know that you shouldn't be here. The keeper is calling for your soul. You're lost. Return to him.
Your bizarre behavior doesn't end there, as you've also taken to being amongst corpses when nothing calls to you. It seems right, why aren't you rotting?
You can survive without food for so much longer than you should have. In fact, you hardly have an appetite. You hardly feel pain. Or pleasure. Or most things. Something both the staff and Krulu do their best to collectively ignore.
The bucket tips when Krulu calls you to his floor and silently shows you the raven figurine.
And you, blank as a canvas, with wind in your mind, simply put on the smile you know he likes to see. There's no hint of recognition, no crumb of genuine thought, not even muscle memory seems to have stuck with you.
He's livid beyond words and meaning.
The next day, no one questions what's happening when you start your shift with the very same figurine protruding from your chest in a bloodied mess, where your heart supposedly is. You don't look to be in pain, or care much about it, but it's shattering their illusion.
Because now, they have no choice but to admit that even more irreversible damage was done to you.
Not just your body, but your soul.
In his effort to bring you back, Krulu made sure that there will never be a vestige of you ever again.
And that's enough to make him want to bury himself under The Clergy to die and rot.

your vlog aesthetic is cute btw 🫶🏻
a/n: a request that has been in my inbox before my write-a-thon but i'm making this as request #1 for it LOL enjoy <3 sorry if it's not the best, y'know? (also thx for the compliment, hon!!!)
★ the sdv bachelor/ettes with a farmer who has vitiligo ★
abigail
★ she's simply in awe of your vitiligo
★ she literally went :O when she saw you for the first time
★ always there to hype you up when you express insecurity about your vitiligo
alex
★ "cool costume, dude!" "oh, uhm, this is my skin" "oh.... OHHHH"
★ looks into vitiligo so he can be more sensitive and supportive, bro may look like a dick/can be a dick sometimes but he's all about supporting folks he loves
★ will beat up anyone who pokes fun at you for your vitiligo (such as the time he "accidentally" pelted mayor lewis with his gridball)
elliott
★ bro can’t stop singing your praises
★ writes little notes about how lovely you are whenever you’re having a bad day or when you feel self conscious
★ “a being as vibrant as the sun and as soft as the moon, you’re the best of both worlds”
emily
★ similar to abigail, she went :OO when she saw you for the first time
★ she's a bit ditzy and some things go over her head, especially if you express any insecurity about your vitiligo to you
★ likes to put stickers and bedazzle your spots if you consent
haley
★ to everyone's surprise, she doesn't criticize your vitiligo when she saw you for the first time
★ she definitely criticizes your muddy clothes but she draws the line at stuff people can't change
★ like harvey, her death stare is by far the most potent and has sent shockwaves into the hearts of those who dare to comment negatively on your vitiligo
harvey
★ very diligent about you having sunblock on, not only because you have vitiligo but also because you’re constantly exposed to the sun for your job (“skin cancer is one of the biggest killers out there!!!”)
★ tries not to go all doctor mode on you but it’s a struggle to switch out of it
★ has one of the scariest death stares, which he uses on people who are assholes to you about your vitiligo
leah
★ sees your vitiligo as a blank canvas full of beauty and potential
★ will outline your vitiligo spots or paint on them if you request it
★ paints you a whole ass portrait of yourself when you confine in her that you feel self conscious about your vitiligo
maru
★ her nickname for you is galaxy because your spots remind her of the vast and infinite universe
★ reminds you to keep sunscreen on you so you don't get burned
★ makes sure that she's in the know about any vitiligo-related news and such, as well as reprimanding her dad if he gets too science-y about your vitiligo
sam
★ "oh wow! i didn't know people's skin could have two colors!" golden retriever dumbass moment
★ researches vitiligo after you call him out on being a somewhat insensitive dumbass and ends up writing an apology song about it
★ makes sure that his family is respectful towards you and not repeat the mistake he did when he first met you
sebastian
★ man just gives you a thumbs up when you give (what you seen as obligated) your "i have vitiligo" speech
★ one of those non-disabled people who don't really gawk or get confused at the sight of someone's disability or condition, which is a breath of fresh air for you
★ "you're you and you deserve to be treated like everyone else, regardless of your vitiligo or not, you know?"
shane
★ accidentally blurted out that you reminded him of marnie's cows because of your skin when he met you for the first time
★ repents to this day for that comment, often buying you a drink at the saloon or gifting you some sorta trinket (usually a flower outside marnie's ranch)
★ "i know that i was an asshole when we first met, i still am a bit of an asshole now, but i want you to know... you are beautiful, you're one of a kind, and i'm sorry for any hurt i caused you with my words…”
penny
★ the educator in her comes out when you two start hanging out and you tell her about your journey with vitiligo
★ like maru, she keeps herself up to date on vitiligo-related news
★ makes sure that vincent and jas are educated on vitiligo so they don't make any weird comments towards you

why I love house plants and what they teach me
House plants have always held a special place in my heart. Not only do they add beauty and life to my living space, but they also provide me with invaluable lessons that transcend the boundaries of nature. 🌿 self improvement House plants have a remarkable ability to improve my mental well-being. The presence of greenery in our environment has been shown to reduce stress, increase focus, and promote a sense of calm. Every time I water my plants or tend to their needs, I feel a sense of purpose and responsibility that brings me immense joy. Additionally, caring for house plants has taught me the importance of patience and perseverance. Watching a plant grow and thrive under my care is a deeply rewarding experience that reminds me to stay committed and consistent in all aspects of my life. 🌿 creativity One of the reasons why I love house plants is the creative inspiration they provide. From choosing the perfect pot for each plant to arranging them in aesthetically pleasing displays, house plants allow me to express my personal style and creativity. The act of nurturing and caring for plants cultivates a deeper connection to the natural world, sparking my creativity and igniting my imagination. Each plant is a blank canvas waiting to be painted with my care and attention, resulting in a beautiful and harmonious living space. 🌿 lessons Plants, in their wisdom, offer invaluable lessons that extend far beyond their physical presence. They do not succumb to pressure or coercion; rather, they flourish when provided with the most basic and essential care. Their ability to adapt and bounce back showcases remarkable resilience that serves as a powerful reminder to embrace change and grow stronger in the face of adversity. House plants teach me the importance of self-care and nurturing my own growth. Just as plants need water, sunlight, and nutrients to thrive, I too require love, nourishment, and support to reach my full potential. The symbiotic relationship between plants and humans serves as a timeless reminder of the interconnectedness of all living beings. So, all in all, house plants hold a special place in my heart for the beauty they bring to my living space and the profound lessons they teach me. From improving my mental well-being to igniting my creativity, house plants have a transformative impact on my life. As I continue to care for and nurture my plants, I am reminded of the resilience, patience, and creativity that lie within me. So why do I love house plants? Because they are not just decorations; they are living reminders of the beauty and wisdom of nature.

I have several questions about your BG3 oc! Tiro seem interesting!
How does Tiro look like?
Personality?
Any fun facts?
Likes & dislikes?
Hobbies/Interests?
Hidden depths?
Sexualities/sexual presences? Thanks! - Fluff anon
Okay so! Bit of a trigger warning here for below the cut - there will be mentions of violence, gore, as, Spoiler; Tiro is a Durge (Dark Urge) and I do not intend to shy away from this too much - even in his 'good' runs/timelines. (Though for questions 4+5 I will mention things other than murder!) I tried to keep focus away from it in this one, but it's just something to keep in mind!
I kept them short-ish, as I didn't know what you were comfortable with, fluff!
Tiro is a Tiefling sorcerer, with dragon heritage!
I added his dragon scales, and darkened his horns in the second, later iteration!
2. Tiro is very... Blank, a lot of the time. He doesn't openly react to a lot of things, unless it is violence. He does ask a fair few questions though, when he's comfortable with someone. What something means, or what someone's referring to when it's a subject outside of his memory. This is, until he learns of his heritage, and who he is. When memories - though fleeting, and mostly blood drenched - start to return to him, at which point he becomes domineering, vengeful, and spite-driven.
3. A couple of canon fun-facts are that Tiro's footsteps are almost silent, despite his larger frame. He has no idea how he manages it - it just... Happens - and that his name is derived from the Latin word 'Tiro' meaning young soldier, or novice. An out-of-story fun fact, is that his story can go either full-evil, or a redemption route! I am still very much open/deciding!
4. Tiro predominantly likes solitude. Unless there is someone who he is very close to, he likes to spend time alone, preferably by a river or another body of water, to try and escape the urges that plague him. It's hard, having thoughts of slaughter constantly invade your mind, and having to contain them and keep them hidden from others, to keep their trust. If he's not having a bad day with these impulses, he likes to watch the birds. A dislike of his would probably be if someone were to touch him without asking first. He's very quick to violence in this instance, a threatening hand around the transgressor's throat normally gets the message across rather well.
5. Tiro has tried a few things whilst on the road to Baldur's Gate; embroidery, painting, writing. He didn't really take to any of them. He tried - Gods above did he try. But he kept getting distracted. With painting he'd just end up watching the red paint run down the canvas, with writing he'd end up destroying the quill and getting ink everywhere. And embroidered just ended with bloody cloth, and a dull needle. Now, more often than not, he has a crumpled leaf in his hand, that he scrunches up every so often to keep his mind occupied.
6. Despite being born of Bhaal, and being almost entirely driven by bloody self-indulgent violence, Tiro does have the capacity for good. He just needs the nudge in the right direction (or to be led carrot-and-stick with praise and rewards). Deep down, there is a young boy who yearns to be seen, to be praised, to be heard. But that side of him is buried very, very deep, and would take an awful long time to surface, even with someone he loves.
7. Tiro has had a few lovers in the past - the majority of whom are now six feet under. He doesn't really have a label for himself, he's very open with whom he has as a partner - so he doesn't really have a preference either. If it were to be a serious relationship, if would have to be someone who is either very much okay with the amount of murder that he commits, and be comfortable with the idea that he could potentially turn on them, or someone who is willing to put in the effort to help him change.

Overcoming the poison of limiting believes
Take a moment to reflect on the dreams you had as a child. What were they? Have you been able to fulfil them? If not, what prevented you from pursuing your childhood dreams? What obstacles stood in your way?
As human beings, we are born with a blank canvas, and it is our responsibility to follow the voice of the dream giver and paint His dreams on that open canvas. The truth is, when God created each of us, He instilled within us a purpose to fulfil on this earth. As children, we possess a deep understanding of what that purpose is, but unfortunately, as we grow older, we often lose the ability to listen to the voice of the dream giver.
As we age, we unwittingly allow negative influences to sow seeds of doubt in our minds, convincing us that certain things are unattainable. These influences may come disguised as well-meaning individuals who genuinely believe they have our best interests at heart. Unfortunately, they fail to realize that by doing so, they are robbing us of our dreams and stifling our potential for growth.
In our youth, we are often unaware of the need to banish these detrimental thoughts from our minds. Consequently, we allow them to take root and flourish, transforming our minds into gardens overrun with weeds.
As adults, we carry this sense of emptiness within us, convinced that there is nothing more we can achieve and that we must resign ourselves to the harsh realities of life. We accept the words of our parents, teachers, and other influential figures who tell us that our aspirations are unattainable, assuming that they must be true. We hesitate to challenge these beliefs, fearing the consequences of going against the grain. Consequently, we passively accept the lies others tell us about ourselves and continue living our lives as they are.
If this description resonates with you, I implore you not to believe these falsehoods. Only your creator has the authority to define who you are and what you are capable of, and you possess far greater potential than you can possibly imagine. The only obstacle standing in your way is yourself. Yes, you are the one who made the choice to embrace the limiting beliefs others planted in your mind.
The good news is that you can overcome these limiting beliefs that are holding you back and hindering your potential. God has given you the power to change your mind-set and allow Him to reveal your true purpose in this world. You may be wondering how to break free from these limiting beliefs, and the answer lies in revisiting your childhood. What were your dreams? What activities brought you joy? Start setting goals to achieve these dreams and make a conscious decision not to let anyone or anything discourage you from pursuing them.
Today, make the choice to examine every limiting belief that is preventing you from reaching your full potential. Whenever a thought enters your mind, ask yourself how it is serving you. Is it holding you back from living your best life? Take action and uproot any negative thoughts, replacing them with thoughts of love, hope, and positivity
To rid your mind of this poison, turn to God, your creator. Seek His guidance and ask Him to reveal your true identity. Dive into His word and discover what He says about you. Surrender your limiting beliefs to Him and allow Him to heal you from within.
It's important to remember that this transformation is not an overnight process, but a lifelong journey. Make a commitment to let God continually renew your mind and pray against the enemy who seeks to steal and destroy. When the enemy tries to bring you down, remind him of your identity in Christ. By embracing this process of self-discovery and relying on God's strength, you can break free from the chains of limiting beliefs and live a life of purpose and fulfilment.
As a child of God, by accepting Jesus as my savior, I can confidently proclaim, "I am a child of God, the Almighty King of the world." This realization makes me feel like a princess, destined for victory, to shine as a beacon of light in the midst of darkness, and to bring hope to seemingly hopeless situations. Therefore, dear child of God, continue to dream fearlessly, knowing that you are under the protection of the Most High.

That previous inspo post also reminds me that I really... really want to take a deep dive into some Genome/Terran stuff that I haven't actually even expressed in the slightest here on Tumbles one day too!
So... A bout of brainstorming happened some time back in a group of friendlies and there was one particular idea that came up that inspired the heck out of me: that Genomes had past lives as Terrans.
Souls could be theorized to have identities, thanks to Brahn's spiel and what Kuja has to say about her soul and whatnot. (Could be, mind you - if you wish to spin it in that way, though, it supports the theory! Which I'll be doing...! Haha!)
And because they could be theorized to, given that Kuja was among the very few to receive a Terran soul, there is a possibility that there is a whole other chapter of a life long passed scattered about in his existence; imperfect, fragmented (as I personally like to think,) just waiting to have its stories unwound... It's essentially a blank canvas, full of potential.
And what I shall do with it... only time will tell...
🐌💭
#filling the void 🌌#with that Thought™#I have a Terran (Terran - not Genome) character who could help make this even more interesting as well#I haven't introduced her in any capacity beyond a name#I think about Kuja's past being known to her#I think about who he could have been#I think about the potential depth that it adds#I think about more potential Terran history interconnected with Etherealism#I think about the parallels between soul matter and Etherealism#spoiler alert: I think about -a lot- of interesting things because of this one “little” idea#ideas worth multiple Tumble Tangents#maybe#primo void filler#for a future date#🌌💙

2024 Grimoire Challenge: January Week 1
Figured I could do the @2024-grimoire-challenge more consistently if I answer the prompts in batches instead of daily.
Preparatory Work
Notebooks I already have a planner-journal for messy notes, dream journaling, and personal insights, a pile of loose paper for research notes and organizing them, and a dedicated logbook for keeping track of arcane shenanigans. I'll be answering most of the prompts on my personal journal. Research-related ones will go to my research pile.
List of 52 herbs to study Skipping for now. I already have a good number of botanicals researched for both mundane and magical use. May instead post my research notes on whatever new plant I come across that interests me.
List of 52 crystals to study Definitely skipping. I don't use crystals enough to make a deep dive worth it. I already did my research on the ones I own, and currently have no plans to collect crystals for magical purposes. May or may not replace this with a random topic deep dive.
Grimoire
Naming the Book
I already do name my magical tools, even my journals! In my personal craft, names hold immense power, so the act of naming is itself some sort of consecration and empowering ritual. Considering their importance, I will be keeping these names private.
Outline/Index Pages
My arcane logbook has one, as it's the only one that will actually benefit a lot from it. The rest of my notebooks (including the pile) run mainly on tabs.
Definitions
Ritual Any action or set of actions with a symbolic, cultural, and/or emotional significance typically done on specified events.
Spell An act of magic done to achieve a specified purpose, usually to enact a change in the world according to the caster's will through symbolic gestures.
Personal Practice
Spell Writing
A spell is itself a tool that creates another tool specific to a predefined purpose. My approach to writing spells is very similar to problem-solving in general, and is very loose.
Identify a problem and its causes. If there's currently no direct problem, then I find a goal to achieve.
Identify the best or most feasible method to achieve the goal.
Survey available resources. Adjust goal and method if needed.
I don't adhere to a particular format, but in general, a spell for me consists of:
A source of energy or power
A way to color, filter, alter, move, or interact in any way with that power
An anchor or a physical vessel for the spell
Some examples of a power would be myself, a fire, physical movement (dance, wind, song), spirits, the materials themselves, celestial influence, cultural significance, and emotion. Interacting with that power may utilize divination, spirit communication, prayer, visualization techniques, meditation techniques, physical gestures, tools such as wands and knives, and so on. The anchor is not required, but it's useful for maintaining and dismantling spells, and I personally just like creating something physical for the spell to hold on to.
Common Tools
Paper, to hold names, words, sigils, and even material and immaterial influences. A blank canvas full of potential.
Any writing tool. A regular writing pen or pencil works, but brush and dip pens are great for working with specialized, magical inks. Toothpicks for writing on candles, cotton buds for harsher liquids such as alcohol and oil, chalk for most non-paper surfaces. Even a finger would do. A tool of creation and direction.
A tarot deck, sometimes a normal deck of playing cards, both a divination and a spell tool.
Candles - white tealights, mostly - to carry light or flame, act as a power, be a source of wax, or be a way to suffuse scent. Scented candles especially are reserved for offerings.
A tea cup, to hold water - and metaphorically 'hold' things that the hands can't. Cups are good for small things that don't need much heating. For anything that needs to be hotter than boiling water, I use the pot. Pair with a strainer to filter out unwanted things. Lidded containers for storage.
Washi tape, which makes hiding magic in plain sight easier.
Scissors for snipping plants, paper, thread, and connections.
Miniature, pen-sized broom used for quick cleansings and asperging.
Music, both to mask the sounds of spell casting and to define a space away from the mundane.
I should experiment with things like bookmarks and keys, and the tea plant stave I have currently just standing around the living room.
Calendar
The solstices mark very significant events in my life, so I like to honor those dates yearly.
Equinoxes mark a subtle but notable shift in the day cycles, so while they have no symbolic or cultural significance at the moment, I just like to track them.
Epagomenal days, ie the last 5 days of the year. Calculating when exactly they land is tricky so I just synchronized it with the usual calendar.
New years - lunar and Gregorian.
Fruiting and flowering seasons of mango, rambutan, kalachuchi (frangipani), and the cotton tree. Mostly because they're common in the area, but also because seeing them fruit and bloom gives me a lot of joy.
I'd like to add more specific dates, but they have more to do with local weather changes, which have lately been weird because of climate change.
Altar Design & Workspace
I do not have a set altar or workspace! If I need to perform a spell, I do it on the spot, using whatever flat surface is available if it is needed. Usually, that flat space is either a desk table or the dining table.a
What I do have is a spread in a notebook (one that opens flat) decorated and dedicated to specific deities, and I use that to better communicate with them every now and then.
Introspection: Personal Practices
(Keeping this one in my journal)

The Absence & The Entirety
Ghost x Soap art piece by me. Fantasy Tapestry / Tarot Card / Stain-glass Window
Short story included.
(Full Image below the cut.) I will also be posting this to my Twitter
Please do NOT repost / reblog without credit
In the beginning, before sound or light or spoken words, there existed an ancient entity: The Absence. The Absence was the eternal darkness, a vast void that existed before creation.
Then one day a new entity appeared: The Entirety, and he would paint all of creation upon the canvas that was The Absence.
A symphony of light and sound would spread throughout the nothingness, creating worlds, songs and words that were unlike anything The Absence had known before, and he watched as this new thing, this life, flourished.
For eons, the two danced in this cosmic void and explosion of light, cycles of nothingness and everything, and they became inseparable, becoming two halves of a greater whole. They became reliant on each other.
The Entirety admired the The Absence for providing the blank canvas and the infinite potential withing. He saw the beauty in the stillness and anticipation of what came next.
The Absence, in turn, marvelled at The Entirety's boundless creativity and expression of life and light.
In their cosmic embrace, they found love. Not the love of mortals, of course, but something that transcended time and space. They were intertwined for eternity.
As the universe expanded and evolved, The Absence and The Entirety continued their dance, celebrating the delicate balance between existence and nothingness. They knew that without one another, the universe would be incomplete - they would be incomplete - for they were in the grand tapestry of creation.
Its not my favourite piece, but I was quickly entering the "want this to be done" phase, so I finished it off and here we are.

It’s so refreshing to hear an honest answer!! Thank you!! I just did a foundation year so I’ve seen some of my friends go through first year and learnt some stuff from them too, I also got some advice from my brother and his girlfriend (who are just starting their masters now) while they were here over the summer. I‘ve lived in my village my whole life and I’m moving across the country to a (not huge but very new) city, so think I feel a similar sense of loss in the ending of my childhood and leaving the little village I grew up in. I’ve spent all 19 years of my life here, but I also know that there is nothing here for me in my future, and I just fucking love to learn so I know it’s the right decision. I’m doing a fine art degree too so I really cannot wait to start new projects and collaborate with other artists in a whole new space! I love hearing other people’s views in art and just in everyday life so thank you again for the response, it was really nice to hear your experience :))
OHMYGOD I'M SO GLAD I SAID SOMETHING OF SUBSTANCE :,) i ramble a lot so i appreciate your appreciation LMAO
We're kinda on the same page in terms of learning from people, which I'm glad for. I'd say we're in a good position and will be a lot more self-aware than most freshers going forward.
You and I are also in the same boat because, whilst I sometimes wish I was this young forever in my hometown, like you I know that there is nothing here for me? WE WANT TO LEARN MORE, we want to talk to people who are also passionate about art and culture, see different perspectives — going to uni in the city, learning academically and socially with the people we brush shoulders with, thats the way to do it. I feel it in my heart that it's the way to go, I have a feeling you do too. Back to that whole blank canvas, life expanding and growing like a universe thing, we kinda know that we can't do that or reach our full potential if we stayed/didn't move into this next stage of life which is bit weird to reckon with ngl. So exciting, so terrifying, so new.
Sorry I basically replied to your response with another. long response, but I TRULY AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! Fine art students are the coolest, I'll think you have the best time, and please indulge me in all that goes on because I'M INVESTED IN HOW IT GOES FOR YOU xoxo
this is us : English + Film 🤝 Fine Art

Material Gifts Vs. Life Skills: Teaching Children What Really Matters
It’s easy to believe that happiness comes wrapped in shiny paper. The thrill of a new toy or gadget seems irresistible for little ones and, as parents, seeing their excitement warms our hearts. But as we step back and reflect, a question lingers: are these fleeting moments of joy the legacy we want to leave?
At Kookaburra Preschool, we believe there’s a deeper, more meaningful gift we can offer our children. It’s not something you can buy. It’s the gift of life skills, the kind that shape their character, guide their decisions, and stay with them long after the toys have been forgotten.
The Illusion of Material Gifts
There’s no denying the joy a gift can bring. A child’s laughter, their beaming smile, it’s magical. But have you noticed how quickly that magic fades? A week later, that cherished toy might sit untouched, and the excitement it brought is replaced by a craving for something new.
Life skills, on the other hand, don’t lose their shine. When we teach children how to share, how to wait their turn, or how to express gratitude, we’re giving them tools that will help them navigate life with confidence and kindness. These are gifts that grow with them, shaping their future in ways no material object ever could.
At Kookaburra We Believe That Life Skills Are the Greatest Gift for Your Child
Let’s think about what truly matters:
Empathy and Kindness: Imagine your child comforting a friend who feels left out. That small act of kindness, born from understanding someone else’s emotions, is a life skill that nurtures deep connections. At Kookaburra, we use simple yet powerful tools like storytelling and role-play to teach children the value of empathy.
Learn Through Mistakes: Every stumble is a chance to learn. A spilled cup of juice, a missed puzzle piece. These moments are opportunities for children to grow. At Kookaburra, we encourage children to accept challenges and turn mistakes into stepping stones for success.
Confidence in Communication: Whether it’s sharing a story or simply asking for help, the ability to communicate is a cornerstone of growth. Through group activities and creative play, we help children find their voice, building confidence one word at a time.
Creativity Over Consumerism: What if the best gift is not a toy, but a blank canvas for imagination? A cardboard box becomes a rocket ship, a pile of leaves turns into treasure. By fostering creativity, we teach children to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.
A Shared Journey: Between Child, Parent and Kookaburra
As parents, we all want to bring smiles to our children’s faces. Whether it’s a small surprise or an evening spent together, these moments fill our hearts with warmth. But have you ever noticed how the simplest experiences often become the most cherished memories? A quiet afternoon baking cookies, a bedtime story with silly voices, or even a walk in the park, these are the moments that linger. They remind us that love is not measured by what we give but by the time and attention we share.
At Kookaburra Preschool, our mission goes beyond ABCs. Every story we tell, every activity we plan, and every game we play is designed to nurture life skills. We see each child not just as a student but as a unique individual with infinite potential. Our classrooms hum with the sound of sharing, laughter, and discovery. It’s in these moments that empathy takes root, resilience is built, and curiosity blooms.
Kookaburra Children Leave a Legacy Behind
So, dear parents, let’s pause and reflect: what do we truly want for our children? A house full of toys or a heart full of courage, compassion, and creativity? At Kookaburra, we are here to help you nurture these lasting gifts. Together, let’s raise children who find joy not in what they have but in who they are becoming. In the end, life’s most valuable treasures are not bought, they are taught. And it’s these lessons that will light their path long after the glitter fades.

Pool removal might be the key to unlocking your backyard’s full potential.Adelaide pool removal services can breathe new life into your outdoor area, making it more enjoyable and adaptable to your needs. Here’s a look at how removing an old pool can enhance your backyard space.
Create More Usable Space
One of the most immediate benefits of pool removal is increased usable space. Without a pool, you suddenly have a blank canvas, taking up a significant portion of your yard. Imagine turning that area into a lush garden, a vibrant outdoor entertainment zone, or a serene relaxation spot. With Adelaide pool removal experts handling the job, you can reclaim that space and make it work.
Reduce Maintenance and Costs
Maintaining a pool can be a hefty task and an expensive one. From regular cleaning and chemical balancing to occasional repairs, the costs can add up quickly. By opting for Adelaide pool removal, you eliminate these ongoing maintenance costs. You’ll save time and money, allowing you to invest in other aspects of your home or lifestyle.
Improve Safety
Safety is a major concern, especially for families with young children or pets. A pool can pose significant risks, even when it’s not in use. Removing the pool reduces the potential for accidents and ensures a safer environment. Adelaide pool removal services ensures that the removal process is done safely and efficiently, giving you peace of mind about your family’s well-being.
Increase Property Value
Removing an old, unused pool can enhance your property’s appeal if you're considering selling your home. Many prospective buyers prefer a spacious backyard that can be easily customised to their tastes rather than dealing with the maintenance of a pool. Adelaide pool removal can help make your property more attractive to a broader range of buyers, potentially increasing its market value.
Enhance Aesthetic Appeal
An old pool can often become an eyesore, especially if it’s no longer in use or well-maintained. Removing it allows you to redesign your backyard with modern aesthetics in mind. Whether you envision a contemporary outdoor living area or a cozy, rustic retreat, pool removal allows you to start fresh and design a space that reflects your style.
Boost Environmental Sustainability
Pools require significant water and energy to maintain, which can have an environmental impact. Opting for pool removal reduces your water usage and lowers your household’s overall energy consumption. This decision contributes to a more sustainable lifestyle and can be a step towards making your home more eco-friendly.
Explore New Design Possibilities
With the pool gone, you can explore new design possibilities. You should install a patio, build an outdoor kitchen, or create a garden area with beautiful landscaping. The space is now yours to customise as you see fit. Adelaide pool removal opens up endless possibilities for creating a backyard that meets your needs and preferences.
Conclusion
Adelaide pool removal can be a game-changer if you want to rejuvenate your backyard. The benefits are clear: increasing usable space, reducing maintenance costs, and enhancing safety and property value.
