Also I saw a thing on Tenor of him in glasses and I needed to have that, so I just went ahead and did this thing instead! this is also not directed at anyone, but what i mentioned in the tags of one of my recent asks - i love love love hearing your ideas and hc's and theories in comments and asks!! however lately there have been a bunch of comments completely unrelated to tyt in the tyt comment section, or comments/asks that are outright telling me what should happen in tyt or phrasing song suggestions/opinions as if they are canon. some of these also vastly misinterpret some things i've said in the fic. and once again i do not mind if y'all want to switch out songs in your playlists, or come up with theories for how the fic is going to go, or even create alternate universes and canon divergences of the fic itself - but PLEASE do not tell me them as if i am now obligated to put them into the fic. this series has consumed me for years and i am very very attached to it and my plans for what will happen! and though i love hearing interpretations of apollo's backstory, or ideas for nico's fanbase, or song suggestions - i would greatly appreciate those to be phrased as what they are: suggestions, hc's, and theories. i am not a machine. i am not writing tyt for your sole entertainment. please do not request things from me as if i am.

not to start drama but the OP to that post you just replied to (the sicilian post) is being a dick to you in one of their asks saying Rekindled is a waste of time and to "do something of actual worth instead of being bitter" and it's funny they say that as if they're not also writing multiple long posts about how shit LO is and how frustrated they are that their own webcomic isn't popping off but you making Rekindled is the "loser behavior"??? so it's okay for them to do it but not you. okay. that makes sense.

I mean, whatever? Not me trying to be flippant here or dismissive of what you're saying here, but of course there are gonna be people who don't like Rekindled, it's foefiction (or fanfiction that exists out of the need to see things go differently or whatever you wanna call it), it's basically designed to be divisive lol It's none of my business what they're dealing with but I can understand their frustration and reasoning, as someone who's been trying to "pop off" for 10+ years and still feels like they haven't, really (Rekindled is a niche project for a niche fandom for a niche piece of work, it's still pretty small haha). At the end of the day Rekindled brings me joy and it clearly brings joy to others, too, and that makes it worth it to me. If I was doing this for any sort of greater glory I wouldn't be posting exclusively to Tumblr or doing it entirely for free without offering Patreon rewards or paying for my own assistant out of pocket, and frankly I wouldn't be working on Rekindled, period. I DO have serious projects I want to do and go pro with (not on WT personally because ick lmao) but I'm also working on those alongside Rekindled, I can do both, it's not a one-or-the-other ultimatum LOL If creating joy for myself and others out of the disappointment I have as a former fan of LO is loser behavior to some then w/e, I guess I'm a loser, at least I'm doing what I like :' ) (and honestly that sentiment goes to Rachel as well, as much as I talk shit about LO she's still clearly creating the series she wants to make and she's making a lot more money doing it than I could ever dream of, that's not something I can take away from her and that's not the goal lol)

If people's criticisms of Rekindled existing was enough to bring me down, then I'd frankly be a huge dick who dishes but can't take it LOL It's not my business what others feel about what I do in the privacy of their own space and I don't really take issue with it, unless someone's directly harassing me about it in my inbox/DM's/etc. which this person isn't so... live and let live, they're not doing anything harmful, they just have an opinion which is what we're all doing here lol I crack jokes all the time about Rekindled outdoing LO but at the end of the day, tastes are subjective and Rachel's bottom line is still leagues above my head where I can't touch her, which is fine. I'm not making Rekindled to try and make people not like LO or to take away from Rachel. No one's obligated to enjoy what I do and/or why I do it, and that's okay (ﾉ´ з `)ノ

Noticing how GIR’s motivations in GIR Goes Crazy and Stuff and ZIM’s motivations in ETF are so similar.

GIR (when he’s competent) knows that ZIM doesn’t understand his potential and sets out to prove himself to ZIM.

When ZIM learns the Tallest don’t see his potential and don’t care about Earth, he sets out to make them care and prove himself (ETF is also really similar in motivation to Backseat Drivers from Beyond the Stars too).

Conclusion: ZIM is to GIR what the Tallest are to ZIM. There are a lot of little parallels highlighted in GIR Goes Crazy like ZIM giving GIR “fake” or meaningless tasks like watching TV to keep him out of the way the mirroring how the Tallest give ZIM his fake Earth mission.

why are people shocked that h*mas has treated the hostages with respect does anyone understand what the strategic point in taking hostages is? the whole point is to make sure they're okay and well-cared for because otherwise there's no leverage for negotiations. do i think the hostages are actually sooo thankful to the hostages for being so nice to them and their children? i don't know, i mean i wouldn't be surprised either way - hard to be thankful for being taken hostage but i can also imagine feeling pleasantly surprised when you are treated with respect and dignity by h*mas when they take you hostage.

i'm not saying taking hostages is good i cannot believe i have to say that but people will read that and say "ooHOOO so you're saying h*mas is good and kind, you're falling for propaganda!!!" no i am just using my brain. unlike everyone who is against a ceasefire at the bare minimum, because apparently yall are okay with the rest of the hostages being in harm's way.

not to mention the entirety of the palestinian population in the gaza strip are hostages essentially and the palestinian prisoners have NOT been treated with such dignity and respect for their wellbeing. but again, treating the hostages you've taken with respect is the barest of bare minimums.
