ANDREIL HEADCANONS PART 2

Neil and Andrew don't argue often, but when they do it's something big. And this time it wasn't different.

It started after night practice and Kevin decided to keep his mouth shut and his eyes close in order to ignore everything they were doing. If it affected the court, it was his business, but apart from that he was going to be as far away as possible.

Neither are particularly fond of screaming matches, their complicated childhoods would never allowed that (Plus, Andrew knows Nathan used to screamed at Mary, he won't go down that road with Neil) so their approach is a silent treatment.

Neil and Andrew spent time apart that week, careful to calm down before seeing each other again because hurting the other is never an option; Neil broke down the walls first, going up to the roof with Andrew's favorite coffee in hand.

They sit in silence, Neil's peace offering lying between them.

"It was raining" Andrew mutters. Neil understands what he means. You could have gotten sick, you could've gotten hurt.

"I needed a run" Neil answers, and he knows Andrew understands him too. I wanted to give you space and time.

Andrew comes closer slowly, a quiet aproachment they've develop now that they are past Yes or no. Neil nods and Andrew takes his cold hands, rubbing them. "Your scars hurt when they're cold, Junkie"

Neil smiles, resting his head on Andrew's shoulder; Andrew hums, and shivers when Neil places a kiss on his neck. Neil can't even remember why they fought in the first place, the only thing that matters is finally being back where home is.

"You call me the next time to pick you up, Yes or no?"

"Even after a fight?"

"Especially after a fight."

Neil smiles, placing another kiss on the blond's neck and grinning when Andrew sighs "Yes. Don't close off if we argue again, Yes or no?"

Andrew ghosts his fingertips on Neil's lower back, clear retribution to the ministrations on his neck "I talked with Bee after it happened" Neil listens closely "I'm not used to this Neil. When things got hard, people just leave"

Neil can see various unfamiliar faces throwing a young Andrew away after taking and taking "Hey, I'm not planning on leaving" He says, sitting straight and looking at him in the eye.

"The rabbit is setting down?"

"Maybe I'm more of a bunny now"

Neil can see the way Andrew's eyes darken, the use of such and intimate petname still new and precious between them.

"I mean it" He says, carefully "I'm not going anywhere."

"I know that" Andrew stays silent for a while and Neil gives him as much time as he needs to clear his thoughts "I'm going to let you know the next time why it angered me, but I might need time alone afterwards."

Neil knows why. They both can be hot tempered and say something they will never mean. He nods.

Andrew takes a sip of his coffee and Neil shivers from the cold and humid rain that was left from the cold. Andrew notices, as he always does.

"You know, Kevin is staying with Wymack today" Andrew says, taking another sip from his coffee.

"Really? And why do you tell me that?"

"I need to make sure you don't catch a cold. Body heat tends to work."

Neil flushes and Andrew helps him stand up. And if the both of them look awfully relaxed the next day at practice, well, it's just their thing and only theirs to know.

I see other people doing this and had like 40 random quotes that I remembering from past conversations that I thought were amusing to try to assign to JereJean.

Are they character accurate? Probably not. But ah well.

Okay honestly im not 100% sure about the whole Kevin knowing about Jean being raped. A lot of people have said “well Thea was also raised in that cult!!” But there is a clear difference. Kevin was adopted and in that environment since he was 10 years old, Thea was 18 when she joined to my knowledge. Also the whole thing about Riko feeding Kevin half-truths. Majority of normal people that weren’t raised in a cult since age 10 understand that 16 years old olds having intimate relations with 18+ is in fact rape and if I am in fact correct about her not officially being a raven until 18 (even if she was 17) she would have known that. Kevin was around Thea when she was 18 and 14 since it said he had been around the team when he was younger. If Kevin knew I think it’s very different and yes her being a black woman has put subconscious hostility towards her character just existing in a lot of people’s minds but the difference is she wasn’t raised from ages 10-19 in this harmful environment but he was.

Everytime I reread tfc I try to find a reason as to why Columbia needed to happen and I genuinely cannot find one. Like why did they do that??? I could never be Neil cause my sensitive ass would have quit immediately.

Sometimes I feel so exasperated on twitter, I lurk on there often in the AFTG community there I'm not super active. But I stg if I see people badgering and complaining about tgr cover more I'm gonna revoke lil guy privileges 👏😤

In general I think we should be way more grateful for the relationship we have with Nora. Ever since joining the fandom I was so impressed at how connected she is with us and that she listens and knows what's going on often with her fandom, she interacts. We don't get that with other authors for very good reasons, but we should treasure that we are able to have this connection with Nora.

Why is it that way too often I see people entitled demanding? Nora doesn't owe us anything. Okay so what we may not see the cover till release? Sounds like ever other book release, we should be grateful Nora updates us like she does and is willing to show covers beforehand when she can. It's obvious from what she says her life can be hectic and so much is going on. We should have way more compassion for her than what I see discussed online. (Ofc that's not always the case and I love seeing when people appreciate her)

We aren't owed any of this, we should be grateful she wants to update us and show us what's coming. She has every right to not do this and just release it when she releases it rather than have to deal with the whining and demands when tentative dates come and go. While 2.22 has been mentioned as a hopeful date we should have patience and some care for the author who works hard to bring us this.

I'm sure this sounds very suck uppy but I've always felt it, I felt so amazed and loved how Nora interacts with the fan base when I first arrived. I don't want to see it ruined by the fandoms entitlement pushing her away.
