y’all talkin critically abt the trojans mishandling jean’s trauma, but i want jeremy and cat and laila to get things wrong. i want jean to have to speak up for himself, to choose to speak up for himself, whether that’s scared and tremulous or angry and snarling. i want him to learn to say no and to see that when he does, there are people who will respect his boundaries and decisions, and there will not be repercussions for it. i want him to feel safe saying no, safe saying yes, safe saying he doesn’t know yet. i want him to feel safe being angry and happy and sad and mournful and everything in between. i want jean-yves moreau to get the agency denied him since he was fourteen years old, and that won’t happen if he is swathed and coddled.

I personally found the joke about sex toys in tsc hilarious and humanising but just a wee reminder for those who took umbrage with it: the trojans do not know about January. They have no way of knowing how raw the wound is still. As far as they are aware, they are trying to help their new friend get past a years old trauma and maybe enjoy intimacy at long last.

Kevin Day:

Always nicely dressed. Gets way too into the music and may start stripping/fucking up his hair and falling to his knees.

Catalina Alvarez:

Other frontman aside from Jeremy. She’s good at rallying the crowd. Her dancing is insane but everyone loves it.

Laila Dermott:

She stays towards the back and vibes incredibly hard, only really getting front and center when Cat pulls her into it. Stereotyped as the grump to Cat’s sunshine. Lesbians are obsessed with her.

Jean Moreau:

Doesn’t move around a lot. Mostly just holds the mic or points. Maybe plays bass on the side, but is a singer. He makes more dramatic music and doesn’t do many interviews/public appearances. People thought he was an asshole but now he has a reputation for being nervous as hell.

Andreil:

They won’t stop pulling weird shit on stage and getting in trouble for it. Neil is a singer and Andrew is a guitarist. Andrew never interacts with fans unless they’re kids, never speaks into the mic. Bro just shows up and Neil climbs all over him, not once losing focus and messing up a chord. Press asks them about their relationship and they give bullshit answers.

during my tsc reread i kept thinking about the possibility of jeremy, cat and laila finding out about the mafia thing. and at first i thought that they will probably not know because jean wants to protect them but when the part of the truth comes out during nathan's trial they'll know. and because they already know about riko they might start digging deeper into things.

like how exactly is jean going to explain why his mafia parents let him move across the world like that?? if he had normal (read not mafia related) parents it could be explained that they let him go because it was his dream or whatever but when the truth is out?? i don't think so

I think Jean's love language is Physical Touch. Like every time in TSC, he really wanted to get a point across to Jeremy he would grip his chin or hold his arm. He has been violent towards Jeremy sometimes but only because he feels safe enough to do so. Because he knows Jeremy will not hurt him. I can't wait for Jean in TGR to finally start healing enough that his Physical Touch moments are just purely positive. Him casually holding Jeremy's hand and kissing Cat on the cheek and pressing his shoulders to Jeremy's and flicking Cat's nose and his hands brushing Cat and Laila's as they cook and holding onto to Cat as she rides on the bike and making Jeremy hold his waist as he rides him the bike and laying his head on Cat's lap and hooking his leg into Jeremy's and falling asleep on Jeremy's shoulder.

BAND AU OH MY GOD.

Kevin and Riko used to be a duo under the Moriyama label. Label was abusive and milked its artists for all they were worth—promoted addiction and disparaged mental healing so the songs would be more raw. Kevin gets out after a private fight with Riko and goes to Wymack’s label, confusing the public. People riot when he announces he’s joined The Monsters.

The Monsters are their own band, more rock-based and edgy. They recruited Neil from a video of him busking for cash (a la Justin Beiber).

The Monsters before Kevin:

The Monsters with Kevin:

Kevin has more of an emotional crooner vibe.

Once Kengo dies and Ichirou picks through his assets, he tries to see if the labels are worth keeping. Riko kills himself in an artistic spiral. Ichirou buys and keeps Wymack’s label, therefor owning Kevin and Neil (who has some connection idk). Neil convinces Ichirou to keep Jean because he’s worth something, but he has free rein and can go other places as long as Ichirou can collect in the end.

Jean goes from a duo with Riko to solo and free.

Jean alone:

THEN. THEN. The Floozies try to collab with Jean. It takes a lot of fighting, but they eventually go on a tour together.

Floozies without Jean:

Floozies WITH JEAN:

The Floozies go into a darker era, far more emotional than before, and people go fucking nuts for it. Jean and Jeremy are usually the lead singers, so people pick up on their odd yearning tension easily. Cat and Laila have an insane WLW fanbase and have their own songs that they lead, though those are more rare.
