i find it so funny that jeremy has considered going to palmetto but was put off by how little there is to do there. as if he'd have a better time at home with the hacky sack, the yoyo, and the family that wants nothing to do with him

are we going to ignore the fact that Jean's mother killed his first captain and her entire family so that he would understand that he should not talk to the others teammates when he was in the youth Exy in France????

I have to say I enjoyed the exy scenes in TGR much better than those in the original trilogy, probably because Jean is actually a better player than Neil is. Like I was always so tense during the exy scenes in TFC because Neil wasn’t where he needed to be to be playing at that level and even though he has massively improved and will continue to improve, watching Jean was so much more relaxing because I knew that if nothing else was going right for him, exy was. It made me enjoy those scenes so much more, but that’s just me.

It hurt Jean to think about, both Kevin leaving him here all alone and the jealous rage that there was a parent out there who would love him.

Kevin had a mother who loved him and the possibility of a father. It was more than Jean could imagine hope for.

“Then leave. I don’t care.” He said. Both of them knew he didn’t mean it. Kevin returned a broken look, there was no future for him outside of the nest. There was no way to escape anyways.

i feel this has the potential to be very controversial so i’ll say it in a whisper and with the caveat that it’s just food for thought not my firm opinion…

andrew locking aaron in the bathroom to get clean and jeremy’s mum controlling every aspect of his life are the same thing in different fonts

like both have the same ultimate goal: stop this person from destroying themselves and then keep stopping it from ever happening again. the aim is admirable and justified, their motivations are different (genuine care versus perceived reputation), but the methods they both use are categorically wrong.
