I'll take the hc that Aaron is smart and has amazing notes from his classes, but I'll also take the hc of him having a shitty memory even though

twinyards hc that aaron has a shit memory and so before his bio exams (tons of vocab) andrew makes associations for him with stupid insults to help him remember.

aaron doesn’t realize the first few times, until he’s blanking on an exam and randomly thinks of a time where andrew made a comment about kevin needing to grow a spine or he’d give him spondylolisthesis and his notes on vertebrae conditions come flooding back

just making things up rn—but I'm intrigued by Aaron having a ton of self loathing. I know growing up with a mom like Tilda and an absent father is BREWING grounds for that type of mentality. And I also wonder how (if it exists) it plays into his relationship with Andrew.— likeee Aaron misinterpreted the reason Andrew killed Tilda, not even considering he only did it because he was keeping his end of the deal. and using the fact Andrew is such a monster to feel superior while also justifying his self hatred, because he might be bad but Andrew is worse. YK, just Aaron constantly seeing the worst in Andrew because that's what he sees in himself.

Goat Twinyard Update!

Aaron and Andrew have hit the pre-pubescent stage and now sound like 12 year old girls screaming bloody murder. Otherwise they have survived this massive cold spell that has covered the valley.

Unfortunately I don't think their mother, Nora, will be having any babies thus year. That could very well change, we have until June to see, but as of right now I don't think it'll happen.

But that also means she's moved back in with the herd. Unfortunately the herd dynamics really switched up for some reason and she's found herself at the bottom of the totem pole. This just means she's not really allowed to hang out with everyone else. The only thing I can hope for is that she'll establish herself again once it starts to warm up.

And lastly I realized I haven't given an update on the twins Big Little Sister, Abby! Abby is doing well, she's integrated into the cow herd very well and still gets occasional snuggles!

WIP Wednesday 1/22/25 | Kevin Day Angst

Kevin remembers Riko looking into his eyes, marker held in his small hands, hands innocent still of the violence they would someday inflict. Careful lines drawn under his left eye, marking out a small “2,” hands shaking a little with the effort of drawing a straight line. Kevin remembers back when Riko was his friend, not his keeper, just his brother, not also his abuser. It kills Kevin to know that in a different world, he and Riko would still be together with none of the pain and hurt and destruction that lies between them now. In a different world, a better world, Kevin could have both Exy and Riko. He dreams, sometimes, late at night when he can’t hide from his most naive imaginings, of a world where he still has the full use of his left hand, still has his brother. A world where the Perfect Court exists, a dream realized not for the Moriyamas but for the pleasure of playing and playing well.

He knows it’s an impossible dream, that Riko has been shaped so cruelty is second nature, his divine right, but he misses those days where they played together as children. He misses the days before Riko understood the concept of property and what it meant for Kevin to be his. He misses back when he was Riko’s and Riko was his. He knows brotherhood isn’t perfect, even when it doesn’t have the pressure of fame and the Yakuza at play. He’s watched Aaron and Andrew dance around each other, the way they avoid catching the other’s eye. He watches Nicky try to ignore the way the two’s parallel orbits encircle him, always going around and around, but never meeting. Despite their differences, Aaron is kind to Kevin in his own hard way and Andrew holds Kevin up when he feels he’s going to fall. Together they balance him.

(i'm not kidding. the entirety of the first two books is just both of them saying how interesting the other is. it's suffocating.)

The two first books hold such bangers, and clearly not enough people ramble about them. I'm a sucker for the relationship they have afterwards obviously, but even before that they're hilarious. Many underrated scenes that could be worth drawing.

Also I underestimated how Neil dress and presents himself - like: he wears oversized, worn out and faded, preferably light-colored clothes; messy curlyish hair with bangs; sports hoodies; JORTS-

... He's got a banger style actually.
