Starting watching the DCAU only to discover that not one but TWO movies share the same plot as Jake Snyder DC movies but they are like SO MUCH BETTER.

Like SO MUCH BETETR.

Justice League WAR was so freaking good and so much better than the snyder version even though it’s like half the length (a fourth if you do the directors version)

And the Justice League Throne of Atlantis while yes their wasn’t as much time for characterization of Arthur and his love story I still feel like they hit almost all the same beats but just so much better as a whole. (Also Black Manta was way better)

And honestly it’s not just because it’s “lighter” - it’s still dark. But it’s not as serious. It fun. It’s genuinely hilarious. And the humor is what makes it so great. The interactions of all the characters with one another are just so perfect.

Watching Superman (2025) struggle every minute with Krypto the dog. Makes me desperately want to see James Gunn’s depiction of Batman single father of five.
