I was rewatching the twitter takeovers and I doodled this

We know from the Twitter Takeovers that Amy and Shadow go to concerts and shop together, but what I feel is overlooked is the fact that Shadow doesn't actually enjoy those things. He finds concerts loud and the crowd irritating, and he's generally disinterested in shopping. And yet, it's implied that seeing Amy happy at the concert made the experience more enjoyable for him and he cared more about her having a good time than his own discomfort ("But Amy seemed to be having fun, so..."). He even explicitly says that Amy's enthusiasm for shopping makes it more bearable. Her joy makes these experiences more meaningful to him, even if they're not his thing

Whether you view their dynamic as romantic or platonic, it's clear that Shadow has a soft spot for her, and I wish we got to see that explored more in the actual games

i re-read the Sonic 06 leaked script and Silver was always planned to be an emotional crashout. even now Sonic Channel says it’s the difference between him and Sonic. it’s why he’s rash and always in a rush

Shadow actually having so much respect for Tails and admiring his intelligence, tenacity, and decision making despite the fact he beats the poor kid up from time to time bc he’s just in the way is absolute perfection and means so much to me specifically y’all have no idea.

That is literally all i have ever asked for from a canonical Shadow and Tails dynamic, now let them interact and get along for once please🫶

i’m fully convinced shadow has zero awareness of his own body language and can’t identify, describe, or even recognize when he’s having complex emotions. he knows when he’s pissed off or bothered, and everything else exists in this nebulous alexithymic dimension where he doesn’t know wtf is going on. “why did you smile at big?” gets answered with “what are you talking about. i didn’t smile. did i smile. i mean - i made a gesture ig” and his response to “did you enjoy the hot honey concert?” is “it was really noisy and i didn’t like the crowd, but amy seemed to be enjoying herself, so. yeah.” my guy has zero clue what he’s feeling at any given moment
