Aizawa reaches his hand up and meets Daniella's where it rests on his shoulder. He squeezes it at first, trying to communicate gratefulness, before realizing it probably feels more like he's clutching to her for support. So he keeps his hand there, but softens his grip to a reassuring firmness that says thank you, I'm here to support you now. He is investing his energy into keeping his body still and calm, drawing steady breaths, being the rock that Daniella will need.

He is shocked and impressed by her independent resolve. When he was thrust into this situation he lost all composure. Screaming, crying, breaking down entirely. He'd say it's because he thought it would be the most logical tactic, but that's untrue. That moment was raw. The rawest, most volatile emotion he has felt or expressed in... well. Ever. He locked down during that initial incident, never allowing himself that ability to scream and mourn. And just then, seeing him right in front of them, flickering in and out of existence but screaming and fighting just as hard as them-- fuck. Focus, focus, before I spiral. It isn't rational to think about this right now. I need to be less selfish.

And she's connecting with him rationally and with composure. Rational employment of emotion, and regulation of its depth? It'd be an understatement to say Aizawa is impressed. Inspired is a better word. But the way Shirakumo screamed back to him, maybe that pouring of desperation is the way? More to experiment with, he supposes.

When Daniella introduces him as her friend, Aizawa feels a piece of his heart soften behind the reinforced steel walls he has locked it in to get through this project. At least he's somehow been able to be adequate emotional support for her. Heh, Aizawa Shota, king of emotional support... tch.

The erasure hero turns his attention to the nomu-- no, the man inside the nomu, now. "Yes. I've met others like you. You aren't the only person to have met this fate. You aren't alone in this. We have a team of dedicated researchers working on understanding this state you and others are in and figuring out how to get you out." Is this false hope, a rational tactic to encourage the man inside the monster, or simply the shaky truth? "That is why I am here with Daniella today. To keep her safe and provide support while we connect with you." It's now that he realizes he has removed his hand from her shoulder, instead finding it clutching his own knee. Seeing his fiancée being touched by another man is not the feeling he needs to evoke from the monster. When this is over he'll have to do some intense training in the woods to work this tension out of his mind body and soul, and reconnect with his physical form, his more comfortable purpose as a human weapon than a human person.

kacchan telling izuku that his body moved on his own is fucking crazy. like not only did kacchan remember izuku saying that all the way back from the sludge-villain incident but he’s also confirming that izuku’s crazy, boarder-line suicidal intensity is a two way street. it’s not just izuku who is insane about kacchan it’s mutual insanity. kacchan’s body moved on its own. he was helpless but to throw himself into the line of fire when he saw izuku was in danger. he didn’t think about it. he didn’t choose to do it. he didn’t have a choice. it was as if izuku was a piece of his own soul. katsuki instinctually needed to protect him above all else, even at the cost of his own life

do yall ever think about bruce/batman!clone danny standing in front of his bathroom mirror after finding out he was a clone and silently tracing his face. The slope of his jaw and point of his chin. The high angle of his cheekbones and the shape of his eyes, the curve of his brow bones and the shape of his nose. The volume of his hair and the way it curls and gets fluffy when it gets too long.

His hair is black the same way a crow's wing is black. His dad's hair is black the same way a black bear's fur is black. His dad's eyes are blue like the ocean is blue. Danny's eyes are blue the same way a glacier is blue.

His dad has a square jaw and straight flat hair, and he tans and gets a face full of freckles when he's out in the sun for too long. Danny burns like a lobster and his face remains untouched. Danny has a sharp jaw and tall cheekbones, and Sam says when he's not smiling there's almost something regal about him. You would never call Jack Fenton "regal" when he's not smiling.

Sam says when he's not smiling he looks scary the same way a stone statue is. Jack Fenton when he's not smiling looks scary the same way that german shepherd staring at you across the street is.

Do you ever think he grew up wondering if he was adopted. Because of course, he has black hair and blue eyes like his dad. But having the same color doesn't make you someone's child.

Or, worse, things he's heard from the other kids and the other parents and even some of his teachers growing up; that he was the product of an affair. And that his dad was just too stupid to notice. And Danny would defend his parents until the day he died, because Jack Fenton wasn't an idiot and Maddie Fenton wasn't a cheater.

But doubt comes in with fickle tongue. his parents swear up and down that he is their child when he asks about either. That Danny just had his grandparents' features, but he was their son and they loved him.

But Danny doesn't look like either of his parents. His mom's eyes are blue like an aquamarine and Jazz's too. And they burn like lobsters in the sun too, but Jazz gets freckles on her face and so does Maddie. And as Danny grows up he doesn't bulk up or get stocky like his dad did, and when he hits puberty he doesn't shoot up like a tree like Jack Fenton did.

He stays small, and they say he's a late bloomer (and he is), or that he just has his mom's height. But he's fast and has good stamina, and some days it feels like he's built entirely different from his family. That the things they went through growing up just didn't apply to him. Jack and Maddie Fenton both had acne and breakouts when they hit puberty, and Jazz inherits it and he's seen the amount of skincare products she keeps on her side of the bathroom.

And then he hits puberty and breaks out maybe once or twice, but his skin stays clear for the most part and the problems and changes his dad went through just don't happen to him.

And the truth is worse than all of the lies.

Peri was very upset about a lot of things that happened. Within a span of a week, he felt like his entire life has changed for the worst!! He had a dumb bulb on his wand, Timmy was still moving away, and he had to go to a school far from everyone he knew!!!

Of course, the cause and trigger of those emotions was Timmy. But Peri can’t blame his older brother for any of that. So the next logical conclusion for a small child to reach was to blame his parents instead!!! And boy did he blame a lot on his parents.

Many of Peri’s actions in his childhood stems from misplaced grief and anger. By the time he was old enough to know better, Peri got a mixture of stubbornness and a bruised ego to admit he was wrong for how he reacted.
