once when i was doing the steel drum thing in japan there was a guy i admired from afar bc he had this huge orange afro and played the bass drums like nobodys business and mannnn he was just so fucking cool. like talking about ppl who are attractive bc theyre passionate, he was a classic example of that. he also just was attractive, like, his face hskdhd. anyway when we had our concert, i mentioned to the person in my band (this performance was a gathering of steel bands from all over the country including our two-man band) that i thought he was rly cool she was like "REALLY?? WOW YOU SHOULD TELL HIM" and i was like no wtf, but ig SHE told him and she introduced us after the concert and he was acting kinda. idk like he might be interested in me and the way i instantly lost all interest in him is truly insane. i tell this story as a reminder to myself bc i rly believed that i genuinely wanted to date ppl but in memory whenever people have been really interested in me, even if i reciprocated, i panic if the topic or even the idea of dating ever comes up somehow. its hard to tell where im at now without like. somebody there that i have a potentially reciprocated interest in but i think i need to be rly careful of this phenomenon in the future dhsjhd like sometimes i just admire someone like a fan and its not actually a crush dhskdhjd
