For the Fae!Bruce thing also, I like the idea of when Robin!Dick first starts out, everyone is freaked out about this little child kicking ass and flying through the air while joking and laughing creepily. Somehow word gets out that one of the dynamic duo is actually a fairy and one is human, and of course everyone assumes the sparkly, bloodthirsty child in the pixie boots is the Fae. Poor Batman the human is obviously under this glamoured, ageless being's spell with some mind control magic, or perhaps a magic debt, killing himself to keep up with Robin's inhuman grace. How else could a "nine year old" be a vigilante in Gotham of all places. Clark's crying laughing in the background knowing Bruce is wrapped around Dick's little finger alright but not like that. Dick is delighted that half the goons now fear him more than B.

This might be the best long-running joke inside the JL. Everyone thinks Batman is this poor human cursed by the Fae and he’s a stickler for rules to try and grasp some sort of stability through all of this but in reality he’s just a Fae going Through It.

Ok so guys. I've been thinking a lot about the vorkosiverse lately and today is Star Wars Day, and so I have had an idea. I have solved it. The perfect au - the fall of Anakin Skywalker can be totally and easily prevented with... Drumroll please... Uterine Replicators!

For those of you unfamiliar with the Vorkosigan saga, uterine replicators are just what the name implies, an artificial womb wherein a child can be grown without a woman having to have it inside her. Think of the clones in SW, and how they were grown in tubes - same basic concept.

So the main issue Anakin is having in revenge of the sith is that he fears Padmé will die in childbirth. Imagine if there were a way for her to not have to carry the pregnancy to term while still saving the baby(babies)! Problem solved. Now the only thing that could conceivably put Padmé in danger is the sith himself. And that would not endear him to Anakin.

Of course, this opens up a whole new avenue for plot shenanigans, like having a giant wild goose chase for the baby tubes between sidious and the good guys. Have the URs stored in a "safe place" like the Jedi Temple, and then when palps attacks the temple Anakin and Padmé are separated from the kids and have to go save them or something. Anyway the idea just won't let me go.

Dunno where they get the uterine replicators, or the expertise to do the transfer operation, since clearly they are not a common technology in the galaxy. Padmé has apparently never heard of prenatal check ups, and Breha and Bail Organa tried for years for a kid to no avail, when if they had one of these they could have had a kid easy. It's not like it could be harder to mix an egg and a sperm and grow it in a tube than it is to clone someone. Maybe they get the tech from Kamino! The Kaminoans themselves probably wouldn't help, not without plenty of money, but one of the clones could easily the think of the tubes they were grown in, and realize it's a possible solution for a risky pregnancy.

All you'd have to do is have Anakin slip and mention Padmé's predicament in front of one of his come medics, or evena regular clone, and boom, lightbulb moment! Then they just have to borrow steal a tube from Kamino, and maybe a med droid, make sure the med droid is up to date on human female reproductive organs, and transfer the fetus(es). Tada, Padmé is no longer in danger of dying in childbirth.

I've indeed heard this a few times, and agree it's a great idea. So much of them fits - Asami being selfless and fierce and as good as any man, Iroh feeling he has too much to live up to but stepping up anyway, and a whole lot of awkwardly oogling each other while trying to stay on-mission. If nothing else, there'd be a lot of General Iroh practicing shirtless with a big stick, which I think he'd be great at.

However, tragically, no one seems to have gone beyond the idea stage to turn this into a fic. I like to think I've read every Irosami story out there, and not a one is the Mulan AU we deserve. I've realized through experimentation that AUs of existing stories are not my strength. Will anyone answer the call?

I enjoy Az already realising he likes Crowley by the time Adam appears but hasn't yet worked out what to do with that information bc acts-of-service Crowley Can't Talk, Wont Talk.

Crowley on the other hand has been VERY GOOD at ignoring why he spends so much of his time around Az so only on the crux of YOU'RE GOING TO LOOSE HIM did anything manage to force its way through to his brain. (i did not enjoy crowley being told he was in love with az in s2, i think he could have worked it out himself)

i rly enjoy hcs where they started sleeping together and with humans for fun (i mean the ox ribs scene sets some v good precedent for this) az sleeps with humans bc he indulges! he likes pleasure! crowely on the other hand is very bad at catching feelings and doesnt like it when they die so has mostly only slept with az (did i mention he's VERY good at ignoring his feelings) but they probably haven't slept together for a few hundred years when adam pops up.

my compliant show!hcs are still that az knows he loves crowley (i mean the scene with jim where he leaps out of the chair to attempt to protect crowley saying no he defo doesnt know ANYONE who he feels that way with, don't look closely at anyone he is with) and is just sort of sitting on it still, waiting for any hint from crowley, planning a ball definitely only for humans and no other reason. Crowley is obviously very protective of Az but he still hasn't clicked why he's worried about him but he doesn't have the excuse of heaven or hell anymore so it wouldn't have taken much for him to work it out (hello one of his first lines in s2 is "you ever think, what's the point?" the point is love you idiot)

(book!gomens is just they're already married and have been fucking for centuries but the book just doesnt mention that.)
