One aspect of vegan beauty Producten brands is their commitment to cruelty-free products. In the past, skincare and makeup products were tested on animals. Thankfully, over the last two decades, conscientious and ethical brands have focused on changing how products are tested.
Additionally, the vegan beauty label goes one step beyond the cruelty-free standard to follow a strict zero-animal-ingredients and zero-animal-derived-ingredients policy. Take a look at our past posts on clean beauty for further actions that ethical brands take.

Say Goodbye To Acne Scars And Unlock Clear Skin
Acne scars can be a frustrating reminder of past breakouts, but fear not! With the proper skincare routine and the power of niacinamide, retinol, azelaic acid, and AHA/BHA, you can fade those scars and achieve the clear skin you've always desired. In this article, we'll explore how these incredible ingredients work their magic and provide you with an easy-to-follow routine for achieving optimal results.
Niacinamide: The Skin's Best Friend
Niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, is a superstar ingredient when it comes to fading acne scars. This potent antioxidant helps reduce inflammation, regulate sebum production, and improve skin texture. Incorporate a niacinamide serum into your routine to reap its benefits. Apply a few drops after cleansing and before moisturizing for maximum effectiveness.
Retinol: The Holy Grail Of Skincare
Retinol, derived from vitamin A, is a game-changer for acne scars and overall skin health. This ingredient boosts collagen production, speeds up cell turnover, and reduces hyperpigmentation. Start with a low-concentration retinol product and gradually increase usage to avoid irritation. Apply it at night, after cleansing, and before moisturizing, and always wear sunscreen during the day, as retinol can increase sun sensitivity.
Azelaic Acid: The Brightening Warrior
Azelaic acid is a multitasking ingredient that not only fades acne scars but also helps with redness, hyperpigmentation, and acne itself. This gentle exfoliant unclogs pores, reduces inflammation, and brightens the skin. Look for a 10-20% concentration product and apply it after cleansing, followed by moisturizer. Remember to patch test first to ensure compatibility with your skin.
AHA/BHA: The Dynamic Duo
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) are exfoliating powerhouses that work wonders on acne scars. AHAs, such as glycolic acid, help fade scars by gently removing dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover. BHAs, like salicylic acid, penetrate deeper into the pores, reducing inflammation and preventing future breakouts. Incorporate these acids into your routine 2-3 times a week, starting with a lower concentration and gradually increasing as your skin adjusts.
In Conclusion
Achieving clear skin and fading acne scars is within your reach with the help of niacinamide, retinol, azelaic acid, and AHA/BHA. Remember to introduce these ingredients gradually into your routine and always patch-test new products. Consistency is vital, so be patient and give your skin time to adjust. Embrace this powerful skincare routine, and soon enough, you'll be saying goodbye to acne scars and hello to a radiant, flawless complexion!

SHOWER ROUTINE:
Showering and hygiene is a staple in being coquette here is my shower routine
First set up the camera because my boyfriends gonna watch!
Second of all sort what you need post shower , towel , hair towel , tooth brush , floss , glasses , moisturiser & face wash
Hop in the shower you going to start with soap & a loofah! Completely cover your body in soap from neck to toes and then wash it all off
Then put shampoo in your hair and let it sit while you put baby oil on bits you want soft (your cherries , thighs , upper arms and feet) never ever do you face as it’s unsafe
Then wash out the shampoo & put conditioner as you use the loofah again just to make sure you have gotten everywhere!
After that you will wash the conditioner out and if you do that day shave you downstairs and pits
Then leave the shower , wrap yourself up in a towel and put your hair in the hair towel , brush your teeth and floss thoroughly!
Use your face wash , rinse , dry and moisturise finally dry your glasses and go back to your room to change

SKINCARE SERIES: WHY RECOGNISING YOUR SKIN IS IMPORTANT?
“Good skincare is like dieting. You have to invest time and effort. There is no instant miracle cure.” – Karen Grant. Skincare has been wildly popular since the pandemic and the reason is people finally took their time to look after themselves. It’s important to understand why your skin has problems. Is it because of the food, the wrong products that affect your skin, or the pollution? Now I…

Save me skincare routine. Save me stupidly expensive skincare routine in tiny bottles
#so ya girl turned 28 three days ago and immediately had a midlife crisis#it didn’t even take very long. i opened my eyes at 6:55am on the 8th and immediately started freaking out#okay i want to clarify something. it’s not that i feel a need to perform a certain level of femininity. it’s not even that i care about#my appearance that much. it’s just that for the first time in my life i look older than i feel#and i feel really weird about it actually! that’s never happened for me before. all throughout my childhood i was told how mature and smart#i was; and i always felt like i knew it all. then something flipped when i got into my mid twenties#all of a sudden people started treating me like i knew stuff and was a functioning member of society. meanwhile i’m standing here#with like radio static in my head. i’ve been an adult for 10 years now and i still feel like i’m floundering#but i look at myself in the mirror and i see: dark circles. wrinkles. dry skin. greying hair. horribly chapped lips. matronly body#i mean some of this is just genetic; i’ve had dark circles since i was 15 and my dad went grey at 30#and none of this is actually Bad. (except for the chapped lips). and it’s not that i don’t want to age. i’ve never considered botox#or plastic surgery and i never will. i genuinely want to look my age. i just… i’m having a hard time because during my early to mid twenties#my skin always looked fantastic despite me doing NOTHING with it. i was literally washing it with cold water and then applying moisturiser#that was once a day at MOST. most of the time i didn’t even do this. and mind you my ‘moisturiser’ was a body lotion#i also used to exfoliate with st ives of all things like… can you believe#i’d always get asked for my skincare routine and i’d just be like ‘i just moisturise when it occurs to me 😌’#but now the reckoning has come and i’m 28 and look like i got hit by a bus. haaaaaa#it’s just like. it’s not that i want to look 10 years younger. that would be bizarre. i don’t even really want to get rid of my wrinkles#or all my blemishes. i just want to take better care of my skin so that it doesn’t get inflamed and dry and break out all the time#and water + actual fucking LOTION isn’t cutting it because ya girl is ✨28✨#so i’m going to try cleansing balm; hyaluronic acid; facial moisturiser & spf. i think that seems reasonable#(yes i never wear sunscreen either. feel free to shoot me with a firing squad)#i just hope it works and none of the products make me break out. and also i stick to it#i tried to pick out some gentle products. so let’s just hope for the best i guess. i mean there’s always room to switch things around#personal

Hydrate your skin with PHA
Polyhydroxy acids work by gently removing dead skin cells, promoting cell turnover, and improving skin texture and tone. Additionally, PHAs possess humectant properties, attracting and retaining moisture in the skin, resulting in enhanced hydration and a plump, youthful appearance. Moreover, their larger molecular size allows for slower penetration into the skin, reducing the likelihood of irritation. In conclusion, incorporating polyhydroxy acids into skincare routines can provide gentle exfoliation, hydration, and overall skin rejuvenation, making them a valuable addition to any skincare regimen.

a deeply annoying but necessary part of my life is needing to stop taking/using a medication or product to know if it's one, doing anything at all, and if it is, what exactly is it doing and to what extent
i've never intentionally done this with my psych meds or asthma meds, but it's happened when for whatever reason, i didn't have access to them for an extended period of time. so the method of finding out really sucked, but i Am glad that it gave me an opportunity to truly see what my meds do for me, be able to actually measure the efficacy of their intended use and the extent of side effects. now i know exactly what my symptoms are, what the side effects are, and be able to make an active choice to tolerate the side effects bc the benefits far outweigh them
i have intentionally done this with skin care products and foods/supplements, which does also suck as an experience bc i have very particular routines in order to manage stuff like acne and ibs, but it's doesn't actually threaten my health, so it's worth finding out
