Emergency Vet Boosting

Alright so, I actually was doing everything in my fucking power to not have to do this- but I kind of am unable to do get around it now. Recently my dog has started to develop moments of muscle spasms and semi-seizure like moments where he is entirely present but his body is seemingly out of his control, the vet was originally not concerned bcs it'd happened twice and under two minutes.

However it has happened again since and we're looking at having to go to the vet, and while the insurance might cover things- we are looking at having to pay first obviously. I only get a very certain set amount of money each month and I just reasonably can't pay for the 400-500 dollar vet charges that are estimated to come my way. (My rent alone is 600 dollars, I'm on disability)

If possible whatsoever, It'd mean a great bit if people were able to donate something to help with the costs. I actively hate to do this but my boy needs blood tests done, possible urine sample and god knows what else and it's money i don't have.

(Also I'm currently having fun and exciting stress/illness stuff going on, so part of building our savings back up is to make sure we have a cushion if I need to take some time away from work as a result)

Hello! I normally wouldn't do this here, but just this one time. My friend has recently started a webcomic called Tiny Dragon in the Centre of Everything and it's very cool! The art and characters are great!! You can check out the whole first chapter and the beginning of the second chapter on Webtoons ANYWAY, the reason I bring this up is because as part of the recent update they've included a popularity poll for the cast to see who's the most-liked based on first impressions. Over the last 12 months I have:

Submitted 3,000+ applications/resumes.

Had 100+ interviews.

Got 1 job that I was constantly misgendered at, and upon informing HR, was then cyber-stalked by my bosses.

Got 1 freelance opportunity who, after two weeks, realized they had hired too many people and then let everyone go who was hired - me included.

Ran out of unemployment, drained my savings, maxed out my credit, and fully lost my insurance.

Unfortunately, even if I got a job RIGHT NOW, I would be unable to pay rent and bills for the foreseeable future.

I am constantly applying for jobs and trying to keep everything above water, but at this point I've become desperate for help.

My sister has a heart condition that we've only been able to get an EKG for so far. My mom is babying her because her heart keeps stopping for seconds at a time; she does have severe anemia but unfortunately her heart is a separate matter from that that we have found. We need money to help get her back to the cardiologist for further testing to see where to go from here and for possible procedures.

While taking care of my sister, my mother is in need of emergency procedures on BOTH of her legs. In 2022 she had broken her leg from the knee down and we had not realized that the arteries in her left leg were damaged by the surgery done to save her leg. Her right leg is suffering from MRSA which she has been battling for the past few years now but my Step-Father (dare I call him that) who has been wholly abusive has cut my mother off financially so she cannot afford any medical care for her nor my sister, Maddie. My mother is unable to work so she's been tied to this man financially for years now and he's now taking the advantage to further worsen my mother and sister's health. Please, if you can share this at the least, I would be so forever grateful to you guys. We've raised $350 so far and all donations will solely go to medical bills and procedures that are needed. Our friend is visiting from out of country, and recently we had to argue very heavily with the bus company about the situation.

She traveled partially by plane then was supposed to take the bus from the airport to another station and then to us.

The initial bus was cancelled for some reason.

The next bus didn't stop by the station she was at.

We called and asked if there was any way to get her ON that bus and they said if we could get her a cab to the next station, the driver would wait.

So, we paid for the cab and she got there and the driver had already left.

They're going to pay us back for the cab and we're planning on getting a refund since she literally arrived more than a day later than she was supposed to, but as it's the holidays we likely won't see it before Christmas (we might before New Year's if we're lucky).

We had this money saved for upcoming bills, but spent it to try and get our friend to our apartment quicker-- which obviously didn't work out.

We're super stressed 😥

i'm drowning and i don't know how much more of this i can take. the last few months have been the worst of my life.

i've lost two close friends. i've been learning about my abuse as a child and later SA on top of my already existing mental illnesses and other diagnosis. as if i needed more trauma, my cats, my babies, have been terribly sick.

i've already lost one (chompy, bottom right) to kidney disease. toothless and copper (right side) needed emergency dentals and we nearly lost toothless. then chachi (top left), my light, got a tumor and i got the worst news of my life. her breast cancer is back and it's aggressive. idk what i'm going to do without her.

everything has amounted to $999 and that's only so far. i'm a struggling, queer latina who is the breadwinner of my family of 5 (two of which are my parents who were/are my abusers and i cannot afford to leave) and i make below the average salary.
