Also, poor puppy! She's too cute for her own good. Tennant has a voiceline with Sonetto in the Wilderness too, where she asks Sonetto to teach poetry so she level up her flirting.

On a side note in Tennant's voicelines with Vertin, it seems like her advances bounce right off the Timekeeper. I think this makes Vertin's embarrased reaction to Sonetto’s compliments even more endearing. Unlike Tennant, Sonetto is completely earnest and sincere.

Dev Interview: Sonetto's Design

The character design for Sonetto is the cornerstone for us to design the Foundation uniforms and even the Foundation itself. Elements of Sonetto's design are the anchor point for other characters of the same faction. This point alone imposed a significant challenge and pressure upon me. Overall philosophy of the design Nun? Religious vibe? The requirement specified that the Foundation is a society of Arcanists that work to protect human society. Keywords for the design include power and holiness. In order to manifest these keywords, I initially obsessed myself with religious designs to the point that the design strayed off to nuns, choirs, and pastors… To get inspired, I was even listening to religious hymns sung by choirs during work.

Design trivia Sportswear is the inspiration for her outfit design? The collar is a unique feature of the outfit. When I first started, I actually thought about my classmates who enjoyed pulling their sports jacket zippers all the way up to the top and burying their chins in the collar. That looked really mysterious to me for some reason. laugh. We also referenced some aristocratic-looking neck ruffs that were improved upon to create the Sonetto-style Foundation collar in the game!

Other relevant design elements Bright orange hair and mosaic hairband Finally, let's take a look at the designs of Sonetto's personal accessories. Design requirements want to emphasize her Italian heritage, so we decided to give her slightly darker hair. And since the overall outfit color should be primarily white and neutral tones, we chose a more saturated and orange-red hair from the darker hair tones of reddish brown, brown, or black, just to highlight the character's design identity. This is why every concept sketch we have of Sonetto shares the same red hair, even though they can be rather different. My personal favorite mosaic hairband was actually added last. At first, I just placed it on her to add some details, but then I realized that the chessboard pattern is the soul imprint of Sonetto (decided that on my own). And hairbands give Sonetto a subtle young girl vibe. Heheh!
