Mmmmmm Travis having a basic demonic form and a 'true' demonic form. He doesn't ever use the true form except as an absolute 'someone I care for dearly is going to absolutely die if I don't do this' last resort, partially because he hates looking like a demon if he can help it and partially because he shreds his clothes every time he changes and partially because there's a certain mindset that comes attached to it that really unsettles him deep in his core.

His true form is bigger than his father's and it feels unstable thanks to his human side. It's fucking horrendous, twisting your guts into shapes they don't want to be in, your shape bubbling out into something too big and familiar for you to properly process. You don't know what this one looks like; it's the only skin you have that you don't know inside and out and it terrifies you beyond belief. What dark corners are hidden away in the body handed down to you by the being that killed your mother? You can feel the thoughts, the urges of something you can only define as animal (that's not right that's not even close but it's all the words you have what else could it be) creeping into your mind, and one day will they take over? Will the sharp claws of a thing that is both you and the being who cursed an entire sea to stop your people from escaping and an unknowable third thing too sink into the crevices of your humanity and peel it away from you layer by layer?

Slipping into this skin is different than the rest (is it?).

They all hurt but this is worse than any (are you sure hurt is what that feeling is?).

It feels like sickness, like fever, like freezing to death as you're boiled alive (like coming home, like breaking free, like knowing who you are after ages of wondering?).

Your bones crack like fireworks exploding in dark skies, you can feel them growing sharp and jagged like the clumsy knives you carve from the claws of things that snap at your throat. Every notch in your spine is a knife; every fang; every talon. Your horns creak and ache in the way old wounds twinge with the coming rain, curling like livestock's, branching like the many limbs of a great long-dead tree. You've not enough space in your mouth for so many teeth and tusks, until suddenly you do, and not enough tongues for the voice that rumbles through you like an avalanche, until one splits to two splits to forked ends too. Your legs are like a goat's, like your father's, tri-jointed and hooved and monstrous, and so too is your spiked tail that lashes like a whip of its own accord. You tower over imps, over allies, over the small mountainside cottage you once shared with your mother. Its supports still bear the scars of when this skin was unleashed upon the world while in the warm confines of its safety.

You look down on your father, and his smile is full of knives when he calls you son. The bile and anger that claw up into your mouth taste like hellfire. There are embers burning in your throat and smoke in your lungs when you twist your tongues around the words I was never your son and spit them back at him.

When the moment is over, you collapse back into your human skin despite your wounds, a house of cards folding into slim parts to fit back into the box. You swear never to use this skin again.

Does Travis’s demon form have any patterns or is it just a solid color?

It does!

Travis in his human form (despite me never drawing them) has visible Blaschkos lines which also are apparent in his fur, although are lighter than the rest of his fur, and give it a sort of marbled effect.

The Reveal

The gym was crowded as usual, the steady clanking of weights and the rhythmic pounding of feet on treadmills filling the air. Travis wiped the sweat from his brow, his slender frame glistening under the fluorescent lights. He had been halfway through his final set when he felt a presence next to him, an imposing figure looming too close for comfort.

A man, mid-40s, stocky with a dad bod yet some underlying muscle definition, full beard, and an overbearing sense of arrogance in his stance. The man’s name was Austin, though Travis didn’t know that yet. He just knew that this guy had made some snide remark about his form, and Travis wasn’t the type to let something like that slide.

“Bro, you’re going to hurt yourself if you keep doing it like that,” Austin muttered, an air of superiority in his voice.

“I’m fine, man,” Travis snapped back, feeling the sting of irritation.

Aaron, who had been working out nearby, immediately noticed the tension building. Aaron, tall and muscular with a physique that drew attention wherever he went, had always been protective of Travis. The two had been together for a year, and though Travis was fiercely independent, Aaron couldn’t help but step in when things escalated.

“Everything okay here?” Aaron asked calmly, his deep voice cutting through the rising tension.

Austin sneered, his gaze drifting to Aaron’s bulkier frame. “Just trying to help the guy. But if he doesn’t want it, that’s his problem.”

Aaron smiled in that way that could both disarm and intimidate. He reached out and patted Austin on the back, his large hand resting briefly against the man’s skin. “No problem. We’ve got it handled.”

The altercation dissipated, with Austin walking away with a slight huff, and Travis letting out a breath he didn’t realize he had been holding. They then ended their gym session with Aaron snapping a picture of the two of them to remember this moment.

Later that night, in the quiet of their apartment, Travis and Aaron settled into their usual post-gym routine. Aaron had been oddly quiet since the incident at the gym, and Travis could feel the weight of something unsaid between them. As they lounged on the couch, Travis finally broke the silence.

“What’s on your mind, babe?” he asked, his voice soft, curious.

Aaron looked at him, his dark eyes searching Travis’s face. There was a hesitation there, as though he was on the verge of revealing something important.

“I’ve been keeping something from you,” Aaron began, his tone serious but laced with a hint of excitement. “Something I’ve never told anyone before.”

Travis furrowed his brow. “Okay… What is it?”

Aaron stood up, walking over to the middle of the room, his muscular body moving with grace. He took a deep breath, then said, “I can shapeshift. But not just any kind of shapeshifting. I can make perfect skin suits of people I touch—like earlier today at the gym.”

Travis blinked, unsure if Aaron was serious. But Aaron’s expression was deadly serious. “Wait, like… you can become someone else?” Travis asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Aaron nodded. “Exactly.”

Travis sat up straighter, a mix of intrigue and disbelief coursing through him. “Show me.”

Without another word, Aaron focused. His hands moved fluidly, and before Travis’s eyes, Aaron began to peel away a strange, glowing substance from his own skin, almost like a second layer. It shimmered for a brief moment, and then, in his hands, Aaron held a perfect replica of Austin’s skin.

Travis’s eyes widened. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. It was as though Aaron had created an exact copy of Austin’s body—down to every single speckle of gray in his beard, his chest hair, and hairy arms.

Then, without hesitation, Aaron began to slip into the suit.

First, Aaron slid his legs into the hollow, empty legs of the Austin skin suit. The skin stretched, wrapped, and clung to Aaron’s muscular calves as he pulled it up over his thighs. There was an eerie smoothness to the way it adhered to him, as if the suit knew exactly how to mold itself around Aaron’s form.

Travis watched, mouth slightly open, as Aaron continued to pull the suit higher, sliding the hollow torso over his own chest. He tugged the arms into place, one by one, the texture of Austin’s skin stretching over Aaron’s muscled frame, conforming to every contour. Aaron’s fingers flexed as they entered the suit’s hands, the transition seamless as the suit integrated into his body.

Aaron lifted the hollow head of Austin’s skin suit, and Travis could barely breathe as he watched Aaron pull it down over his own face. The transformation was instant—Aaron’s strong jawline and features were replaced with Austin’s rugged face, complete with the full beard, sharp eyes, and subtle signs of age.

Aaron blinked, adjusting to the new skin he was wearing. When he turned to face Travis, it was like looking directly at Austin—the Austin they had seen at the gym earlier that day.

“Holy shit,” Travis whispered, his heart racing.

Aaron—no, Austin—smirked. “What do you think?” His voice had taken on the deeper, gruffer tone of Austin’s. The impression was perfect, from the posture to the way he casually scratched at the beard.

Travis stood up, circling Aaron, completely astonished. The tattoos on his arms were identical. The muscles, slightly less defined than Aaron’s, felt real under his touch.

“I—wow. This is insane,” Travis murmured.

Aaron chuckled, mimicking Austin’s earlier gruff demeanor. “You want to talk about your form again, bro?” he said, playfully mocking the gym encounter.

Travis couldn’t help but laugh. The transformation was so complete, so flawless, it was hard to believe this was the same man who had held him that morning.

Before Travis could respond, Aaron—still as Austin—pulled him into a gentle hug. It was strange at first, feeling the bulk of someone else’s body against him, but the familiarity of Aaron’s warmth was there. The touch was tender, loving.

Travis looked up at Aaron’s new face and smiled softly. “You’re unbelievable,” he whispered.

Aaron, still in Austin’s form, leaned down, brushing his lips against Travis’s. The kiss was soft, lingering, as if they were both savoring the moment. Despite the change in appearance, the affection between them was unmistakable, an intimate connection that went beyond physical form.

When they finally pulled away, Travis looked into Austin’s eyes—Aaron’s eyes—and grinned. “So, what do we do now?”

Aaron smirked, his voice still deep and gruff. “Whatever we want, babe. I can be whoever you need me to be.”

And with that, they collapsed onto the bed, holding each other close, the boundaries of identity blurring into something new and thrilling.

Camp Half Blood Halloween Lookalike Shenanigans Headcanon

My little brother and I decided it would be funny if there was a Camp Half-Blood halloween party where everyone came dressed as a different member of the camp. Our ideas include:

Grover dresses as Percy, borrowing one of his flannel shirts and putting a streak of gray in his hair.

Nico also dresses as Percy, but in the most stereotypical way possible. He keeps pulling massive amounts of blue candy out of his pockets and threatening to fight people with a ballpoint pen.

Annabeth dresses as Grover. She finds a way to get food to look like tin cans and candy wrappers, and spends the whole time eating those while stopping everyone who keeps accidentally littering.

Percy and Jason dress as each other and swear they didn't plan it in advance. Piper also dresses as Annabeth and she and Jason call each other seaweed brain and wise girl the whole time.

Mr. D complains that the whole thing is stupid and he's not participating, up until the day of the party, when he's seen walking around with an orange t-shirt and a nametag that says "PETER JOHNSON"

Connor and Travis are dressed as themselves. They keep saying things like "CLEARLY I'm dressed as my brother," and "can't you tell? We switched necklaces!" when in actuality they did not at all and came dressed as themselves (or as each other pretending to be themselves I guess?)

Will plays the greatest Nico DiAngelo imaginable, wearing all black, carrying around a Happy Meal box, and walking around complaining about how "everyone hates me even though I have no evidence to support this claim" and "oh maybe those Apollo kids are right and I should start actually taking care of myself, but alas! I shall not!"

Leo dresses as Jason. Actually, he's wearing a superman costume and a blonde wig, but it gets the point across. He keeps walking up to Percy, who is also dressed as Jason, and saying "oh great, ONE of us is gonna have to change," and also finding random places to pretend to pass out and knock himself unconscious. He's having the time of his life....

That is, until Hazel shows up from Camp Jupiter in a dirty white buttondown shirt and suspenders, grease staining her face and hair, wearing a cheap dollar tree toolbelt with plastic tools. She peppers a pun into every conversation and jokingly flirts with half the girls there, and even though Leo acts unimpressed, everyone else agrees she almost makes a better Leo than he does.

Frank comes with her. Having mastered his powers of shapeshifting, he manages to shapeshift only his lower half into a horse, thus making a pretty good centaur, and he wears a suit jacket and speaks in a cryptic manner, making for a pretty convincing Chiron. At first, Frank wasn't sure if it was such a good idea. Maybe Chiron would think it was rude, or in poor taste? He ends up very glad that Hazel and Leo convinced him to do it when he sees how much everyone appreciates his costume.

And, of course, Frank realizes he had nothing to worry about when Chiron comes in wearing a hawaiian shirt, with a diet coke in hand, as he calls every single camper by the wrong name.

travis during s3- WOW this is a rough one. poor guy. i rlly hate how an honestly rlly good character is undermined by his constant objectification of women but I DIGRESS. he mediates and kills the shapeshifting imps night and day. at this point he’s really good at recognizing their magicks- however he always falters for a second when they take the form of katelyn

laurance is a short king. hate that term but only use it ironically. he’s not super short but more like 5’ 8” but every time someone says their height he just chuckles and goes “really? cause i’m 6’1… so”

Garroth enjoys quiet time in the village. he seems like he’d have a silly little secret hobby like gardening or something. somewhere he can just be himself (was more helpful in his fugitive days while still wearing his helm 24/7- his secret gardening area gave him a break from wearing it) he likes to plant purple flowers to see aph smile

dante is always down for a challenge- more rampant in his younger years but a trait he never looses. he’s always the guy to look at a tall object and say “… who thinks i can climb that??” or to always wanna start arm wrestling/ dare or dare with the other boys

katelyn… oh boy do i hate how her very intricate character was made into “argggg anger issues”. she has a very interesting mix between calmness/ introspection and love for justice/tendency to escalate to anger. i think she genuinely does struggle with anger issues however i think her free time is spent almost 100% on calming practices when she’s not training

lucinda. you can’t TELLL me from her voice actor that she doesn’t have a tangible aura around her. non magickal characters can’t really place their finger on it, but when they’re around lucinda they don’t rlly wanna leave and it feels kind of ? warm? and comfy. warm like vanilla and cinnamon. this is a spell she casts to make people accept/ have natural disposition towards her because of how outcasted she feels as a witch

“You have to deal with it eventually.” Travis flipped the knife around and held it out to Laurance, hilt-first. “In my experience, it’s better to take the edge off than let it simmer up until it boils you alive.”

Laurance stared at the knife. He had a strange look on his face, one Travis couldn’t read. It was usually easier to read Laurance than most other people, he was usually a very expressive man, but this expression was a small one. One where all the nuance was bunched in the low angle of his brows and the slight part of his lips. 

His eyes were on the sharp edge of the blade, where it pressed against the bare skin of Travis’s forearm. He did not take the knife. There was a tremble in Laurance’s fingers as they dragged through the sand, closing into a fist.

Travis stabbed the knife into the sand between them. Sunlight bounced off the blade, painting each of their hands in slivers of shining color.

He looked back out over the water. He said, “For when you need it most.”

For a long time, neither of them said a word. Travis watched the water ebb and flow. It splashed against the sole of Laurance’s boot. Warlock Valkrum grinned up at Travis from his reflection, twisting away as the waves receded.

Laurance took the knife with him when he left.

His natural form is a cross between human and demon, naturally. he only allows himself to be like this when he’s alone or with Eseryt. He’s at his most powerful like this (not including demon form), as shapeshifting causes strain if he holds it for too long.

He can shape shift into any living creature, but he cannot turn into specific people.

His father has the ability to enter his mind and puppet him around if his defenses are down. In order for Travis to be weak enough for this, he must have put some strain on his power, like holding his human form for too long *wink wink*

When his father is in control of his body, his eyes turn from green to purple.

Transforming into his demon form puts a great strain on his body, and can be very painful. He only willingly does it if he absolutely needs a power boost.

His mother, Olle Valkrum, was trained her whole life to fight the Demon Warlock. He had been feuding with her family and their island since Enki’s time. Olle, being a descendant of Enki himself.

The Demon Warlock one day disguised himself as a man named Micheal and whooed Olle. He spent months gaining her trust as Micheal, while simultaneously fighting her as the Demon Warlock as to not draw attention. Eventually Olle became pregnant and gave birth to Travis. Appalled at this inhuman creature she created, this is when Micheal revealed himself to be the Demon Warlock all along. Olle raised Travis to the best of her abilities, training him the same way she herself had been trained, until one fateful day when she lost her life.

Shortly after everyone returned from the Irene Realm (which he of course had no idea about), he started having dreams of a girl with red hair and a scarred face. He could interact with her, but he could not touch, speak to, or hear her.

A while after the dreams began, he came across this very girl in the woods one day. Assuming it was a trick by his father, he rushed her. Though later she revealed herself to be Eseryt Yrva, a girl who’s group crashed on Enki Island and were just looking for a way out.

He and Eseryt eventually became very close and romantically involved. No Travlyn doesn’t happen (sorry guys). It never felt right to me. Not only was Katelyn always mean to Travis, but I’ve always thought she was a lesbian. (She is in my rewrite)

Travis is NOT a creepy perv!!! He’s just socially awkward and doesn’t understand social norms or ques. He doesn’t have much of a filter and will often unintentionally make people uncomfortable or offend them, though he always means well.

His lack of filter is part of why Es likes him. He’s honest, which is rare.

He’s a lot smarter than he lets on, or that people give him credit for. He has a lot of time to himself, which he spends reading and researching. He also is an incredibly skilled fighter and survivalist.

He’s never been fond of fighting. Much more preferring things like reading, writing, and painting. He’ll paint or write about whatever he sees around him.

Once he learns certain social norms and ques, he sticks to them religiously. He only wants to make people feel ok and safe around him.

He’d sacrifice himself for the people he cares about in a heartbeat a thousand times over and over again. trait he gained from his mother.

Travis was born female but shortly after he was born, he physically shifted to male and stayed that way. He can shift between male and female (or neither/both) at will, but prefers to present as male.

He generally uses he/him but doesn’t mind they/them. But please not It. That makes him feel more disconnected from his human side.

Really weird how fandoms tend to HC/portray non-binary amabs (and men/transmascs in general) almost exclusively as GNC or fem-presenting…like DGMW that is a real and valid form of self expression but it’s not the Only type of non-binary expression that exists. and honestly…**dare I say that most fandom/queer spaces just need to realize that queer masculinity exists and it doesn’t always have to be a matter of breaking gender norms??

✯ more headcanon complaints (see disclaimer above ⇧) but I promise to switch it up soon. anyways every time somebody on this lil website says something along the lines of “Jack can’t handle/doesn’t like [insert violence, scary or adult-oriented thing], he prefers [soft or blatantly childlike things]” I shrivel inward like a dead spider. It’s annoying, it’s completely inaccurate to his canon personality and interests, it’s annoying ˣ2, and whether ppl wanna admit it or not—it stems from infantilization. not necessarily ableism, as infantilization is not exclusive to disabled people, but still just about the same thing.

honestly all I see of majority jack headcanons are ones that set him back to just being a child or otherwise being treated like one. for example, the one about him being able to shapeshift is pretty cool...until it just becomes about him deciding to age regress, yknow, to an age set he canonically chose not to go through, showed no desire to be in, and is more offended than anything to be considered as such. all of his interests have to be some shit like bluey or animal crossing, and he drinks apple juice from a sippy cup instead of beer. BARF.

I’ve lessened on my keyboard warring over babyjack in the past year but I have not lessened in being a hater. and I’ve said this before, but the baby-jack au already breached headcanon containment a long time ago when it’s not only so widespread that ppl take it for canon and it makes having any intelligent conversation about him nearly fucking Impossible, but it also lead to harassment and accusations of being a fucking predator, to anyone who dared find a whole grown man attractive. any potential jack ship, like jackharper? automatic grooming case to them. it’s like the fandom is just so dead set on this idea that jack really truly is a child in every aspect you can think of, and for what? if it’s just a headcanon, something you know is not part of the actual show, then don’t go Travis the Chimp levels of apeshit when you see him being treated like he is canonically 💀

unpopular opinion numero 3 which is slightly connected to 2:

✯ baby-jack and a handful of the domestic au’s are BORING (see disclaimer again ⇧), not just on a surface level to my suiting, but also because I feel like it just ..misses the point of the show?

the ragtag untraditional found family is now as nuclear and traditional as the Atomic Age. Dean and Cas are the most heteronormative “who wears the pants in the relationship” gay couple ever, Sam is demoted to the uncle that gets written out of his own family, Jack is just there to make his gay dads look cute and emphasize that they’re a gay family (while still being very heteronormative), and at least 5 of them could be found in a California gated community. everything that made any of them unique or defined their personalities is just scrubbed off, even for an AU.

so much of the later seasons focus on Sam and Dean realizing that they don’t have to make a hard splitting decision between the lives they want to live; that they can find a balance; be happy and have good things—namely families—without giving up hunting (and vice versa, that they can have hunting without giving up on family or happiness). everybody loves the gay hunters from S10(?12?) and what they represented for Dean, but I almost never see that be put into practice in the fandom.

THEY’RE ALREADY DOMESTIC!!! AND WITH THAT PERFECT BALANCE!!!! Season 13 quite literally gave Team Free Will a surrogate son to raise and established them as a family; highly untraditional, largely dysfunctional, overall not fitting of a family family, and yet they are a family still. Dean wears an apron and cooks and bakes for everyone; he built himself a man cave and established two separate family night events that they all ritually keep up; Sam has a morning jogging routine and visits his girlfriend every so often; Jack was taught how to drive, has normal chores like washing dishes, and gets groceries. And they didn’t just have that while fighting monsters—they had that while fighting a whole fucking archangel. Even if it did go down the gutter by the end, they still had it: domestic familial bliss and violent messy hunting without having to trade one for the other.

✯ I truly genuinely think Jack’s relationship with Dean is the best, most interesting and most misunderstood out of the three, and I also think that the problems with his relationship to Cas and Sam are hugely overlooked by the fandom—granted they are very small, especially if you’re comparing it to Dean, but they’re still there and I think we should bully Cas and Sam about it more. I shan’t elaborate because it’s 5AM and this was an impulsive add-on ❤️

percy jackson: thalia once dyed his hair neon green (which, he has black hair, so no clue how) and it lasted for two weeks before washing out entirely

thalia grace: actually very close to will solace. he treated her when she first woke up, and reminded her of jason. she's basically a big sister now. she threatened nico about him.

nico di angelo: got so nervous about asking will out he accidentally asked in chinese, before reverting to welsh, and then latin. finally, he stutters it out in a mix of greek, italian, and english (luckily will understands all three). unfortunately, will responds in sign language for some reason??? nico doesn't know sign language.

meg mccaffrey: meg has a horrendous obsession with gatorade. like. she won't drink water, it's gatorade or nothing. apollo is SO concerned because he doesn't know what gatorade is and also it looks VERY unnatural.

leo valdez: not only can he cook tacos, he knows how to make tamales. actually, while on the argo ii, he and percy made most of the food. this man can COOK.

will solace: has a habit of always carrying pens around with him (both as a way of keeping close to michael, who collected pens before his death, and just bc he's in the infirmary so much) and he clicks them ALL THE TIME as a fidget. people forcibly take them from him sometimes.

Annabeth Chase: she's autistic and so is her dad. part of why they have so much trouble having a good relationship with each other. they both have really black and white thinking styles.

Calypso: she's like 7 feet tall.

Magnus Chase: he really likes the chronicles of narnia series. when he was a kid, he dressed up like the lion for three halloweens in a row. his favorite is the lion the witch and the wardrobe.

Alex Fierro: felines are easier than canines in regards to shapeshifting.

Sadie Kane: she likes strawberry ribena the best

Carter Kane: he wants to grow his hair out. when he's in his twenties, he does. sadie helps him braid it.

Clarisse La Rue: after her mission in ttc, she's extremely claustrophobic.

charles beckendorf: he was 16 when he died, but had finished HS work 2 years early. had been accepted to MIT. he wouldn't have gone, anyway, because of the expense, too far from camp, but-- it had been a nice dream

Nyssa Barrera: she's a year round camper, and always been mad that taking care of harley fell to her.
