the mere concept of mcd and mystreet gaining new fans in the year of our lord 2025 fucks with me so bad.

i was in the laurmau/gaurmau TRENCHES. i was there when they dropped the nuclear bomb (aarmau), crawling through the rubble.

i experienced the fall of mcd in real time. i was huddled in my grandmothers bathroom trying to watch those last few episodes on summer vacation.

i had a book dubbed “my aphmau notebook” full of episode plots and character bios and pick up line transcripts and handwritten fanfiction that i carried with me EVERYWHERE (and i mean EVERYWHERE) for three years straight. i would assign my school CLASSMATES different characters and COVERED my binders in handmade posters and stickers.

i wore. CAT. EARS. and TAILS. to school EVERY. DAY. in fifth grade.

MCD Aphmau you were so flawed but you were so loving :((

She opened up her home to children who were not her own at first, brought abandoned children from miles away home just so they could feel loved and have a family again, she created rooms for the people who helped her to stay in and let her house become a place that treated the sick.

Like she was more than just a lord to Phoenix drop, she was a carer and provider and almost treated it like it was her own child despite the tragedies that continued to rake place. She couldn't be there all the time, but when she was she always brought someone new with her to join the family. It takes a village to raise a child but it also takes a mother to create that child and nurture that village.

Anyways I'm rambling just idk Minecraft Diaries is so dear to me and Aphmau truly gave Phoenix Drop more than she could.

very very very VERY big aphmau fan and rewatching diaries and I like to think that aphmau spent more time with levin and Malachi than we saw bc picturing them eating breakfast or playing for too long and aph misses a chance to check on all villages in the town. even taking naps with them and forgetting about a meeting with garroth or even carrying levin when he was a baby around town more than just the few times we saw
