This may be the best and dumbest piece of MyStreet world building that I think about objectively too much, so I have to infect Tumblr with my brain worms.

Because werewolves and meif'wa exist, there are certain phrases that we English speakers might commonly use that have VERY different connotations.

In our world calling someone a pussy is (usually) used as an insult, a synonym for calling them a coward. But if you said that to Nana or any other meif'wa character it's like calling them a slur. Michi likes being called a pussy though because Michi is a freak who would be into being called slurs (relatable).

Son of a bitch might be my favorite swear phrase, but in MyStreet it's a BIG no-no to say it if you aren't a werewolf. Sorry, calling someone a bitch is a werewolf only thing, especially if they're a girl, and it's a strong fucking word. Aaron once got in a really bad fight with Melissa and yelled at her to "stop being such bitch", and it hurt her so badly that he stopped caring about whatever they were fighting over and was profusely apologizing for the rest of the day.

Blaze really likes to throw it around casually, especially the phrase son of a bitch in response to inconveniences, or calling someone a dumb bitch while he's playing games online. He loves trying to get non werewolves to say it too, because it's funny to him. I can just imagine him and Aphmau hanging out together and he suddenly looks at her and says "You can call me a bitch if you want. I won't tell anyone." She is not the only person he's done this to.

Anyways that's it, the entire post is that bitch and pussy are equivalent to slurs in MyStreet and that's the peak of comedy to me

insane how the 1st episode of Aphmau's year completely outsold the entirety of season 5

The pain. The emotions. The RAWNESS of it all.

Everyone repressing their trauma because "she had it worse". Gar and Zane being truly brothers for the first time. THE FUCKING BANDANA. Nana's extreme emotional intelligence being used outside of a joke. Zane's PTSD around what happened- what he had to see his best friend suffer through- what he suffered through. Him actually being vulnerable enough to not push away Nana when she comforts him.

The memories a house can hold. The feelings it echoes. The bittersweet agony of being surrounded by the intense love of someone who isn't there.

Also dante and laurance actually existing

Kim works at a library with Zane, and they have this weird friendship where they don't really know each other but talk every so often while the library's quiet.

Lucinda was born with feint markings all over her body, but they grew more vibrant as she developed her witchcraft

Travis was also born with witchcraft markings, but he chooses to hide them. you know, until starlight.

Aaron has absolutely no sense of style

Zane has a tramp stamp tattoo he got when he was drunk LMAO. hes also got a semicolon tattoo on the left side of his neck

This isn't even a headcannon, I was gonna put Garroth and Katelyn in matching shirts but then I realised that it would probably just look like Garroth stole her shirt KJFSJKDF

zane straightens his hair. and the head damage is BAD he has like 2C hair that hes been straightening WET.

Kim's had long hair her whole life, and never really wanted to change it. but then one day Lucinda offered to get it cut and dyed for her to 'up her confidence' and honestly she really likes it :3

Travis can shapeshift, he's always been able to but pre-starlight it was just simple things, like changing his hair hiding certain aspects of himself. but after he's able to do a lot more (he just doesn't really like to.)

Dea'Matrona; Dea matrona is the spanish translation of 'The Matron'

do you guys ever think about how in mystreet when Aaron and Aphmau started dating how like. by this point Aphmau had gone through an EXTENSIVE list of Boy Romance Experience, with numerous crushes and almost-boyfriends, and meanwhile Aaron had spent his entire life up to this point completely isolated. Aphmau was his first and only friend until she introduced him to her group of friends and pushed him out of his shell, like. he has friends now because Aphmau has friends and her friends adopted him. this man had never even kissed anyone before Aphmau, he is a total newbie at social situations and relationships, and meanwhile Aphmau has boy romance drama history for days. he’s the shy introvert to her magnetic social butterfly extrovert. im just saying it would make sense if Aphmau was the one who had to teach Aaron how to kiss, how to date someone, etc. like she’s the confident one in the relationship whose done this tons of times before while he only just started Talking to People In Real Life like- a year ago. Aphmau guiding him through the motions, easing his nerves. encouraging him to open up. Aphmau being the more knowledgeable, confident, smooth guide in their intimate life while Aaron is nervous and lost and clueless. this man was isolated from other people his entire childhood. he shouldn’t know how to kiss for shit. he should be the easily flustered one who doesnt know what more “niche” sex things are while Aphmau has extensively read up on everything and might not even be a virgin by the time they hook up in their adulthood given her unending romantic history and charm. he is the hopeless virgin in the relationship. do you hear me.
