The sequel to my story, A Bone to Pick! I hope you enjoy

In the two weeks since the demise of the former (possibly fake, it's really unclear) Mayor of Megapolis, the Monkie Kids have settled into a comfortable routine. Hoping to shake it up in a pleasant way, Bai He invites her new friends to meet her best friends at her school’s spring concert, where they are set to perform. And she made sure to invite all of her new friends! ... So, yeah, Wukong didn't get an invite.

But silly things like formal invitations have never stopped The Monkey King. Besides, Bai He's spring concert is the perfect time for The Great Sage to bury the hatchet with the little girl. Show off his true good side and all. So what if she seems reluctant... and avoidant... and is actively avoiding him and turning her nose up at him--the point is, Wukong is going to get Bai He to like him, come hell or high water!

But when a foul plan from an unseen foe traps MK and his friends, Wukong, Macaque, Tang, and Pigsy must rely on Bai He and her friends to navigate the halls of the school safely. All the while this foe grows interested in Bai He's newfound lady bone demon abilities... and some other interesting power she seems to have developed...

The beginning of the sequel to When the Cactus Blooms!

Hopefully posting this will keep me working on it. (I know I have other stories that need to be worked on too, but the block is so hard to fight. Here’s hoping less stress when work gets out for the summer in a couple weeks will help! 🤞)

Where the West Begins

Ch. 1 Meowdy!

Life moved at its own pace on the Enterprise Ranch. Though that had been a very quick pace during the previous spring and summer. Leonard McCoy looked out across the north pasture, and let his thoughts drift. Two gangs and a pair of villains taken out. A new addition to their family on the ranch in the form of Jaylah. And best of all, at least to McCoy, love in his life again.

McCoy couldn’t help a smile as he looked over towards where Montgomery Scott was working on the pasture gate.

“Len, look at this.”

McCoy turned to walk back to where Scotty was. His eyes widened as he saw the paw print Scotty was pointing at.

“Oh,” was all he got out.

“We’ll have to let the others know, and keep a lookout in case,” Scotty said.

McCoy moved in the direction the print was facing. “More over here,” he said, as he continued to follow the prints. “Just what we need,” he said sarcastically, “a big cat hassling the cattle.” He looked out at the land around them.

“Probably came down from the hills,” Scotty said, stepping up next to him.

“Hopefully it’s gone on its way and left us well alone.”

“Hopefully,” Scotty agreed.

“Where did they go?” James T. Kirk looked down the table at lunch.

McCoy gave his head a shake. “Didn’t follow them too far and besides the ground was softer by the fence.”

Jim rubbed a hand over his face. “Alright. Spock, we’ll check it out after lunch. Sulu, you and Chekov check on the east pasture. Make sure everyone is accounted for.”

“Can do,” Hikaru Sulu answered and Pavel Chekov nodded in agreement.

“Bones, you and Scotty check around the north pasture, see if you can find anything more.”

“Aye,” Scotty said and looked over at McCoy.

“What about me?” Jaylah spoke up.

Jim’s face gave a guilty start. Jaylah had learned much and quickly, and though Jim tried he did forget on occasion.

“Come with us lass,” Scotty said before Jim could answer.

Jaylah glanced at McCoy and he nodded at her.

In the north pasture, McCoy took off his hat and fanned himself for a moment. The late summer sun beat down.

“I’m not seeing anything,” McCoy called over to Scotty and Jaylah.

“Aye, same,” Scotty called back. They had spread out to cover more ground.

A sudden squeal from Jaylah had both men turning. She had closed in on one of the few trees in the pasture and was looking into its branches.

“What’s wrong lass?” Scotty cried as he began hurrying towards her. McCoy moved quickly as well.

“Look!” she exclaimed, pointing into the tree.

“Get away!” McCoy ordered, thoughts turned to a cougar leaping down at them. A chill went down his spine.

“Lassie!” Scotty yelled as Jaylah moved to the tree trunk.

In a flash she had jumped towards a low hanging branch and pulled herself up. McCoy grabbed onto Scotty’s arm as they stopped at the base of the tree and watched Jaylah climb higher.

McCoy’s heart began to slow its racing as he saw there was nothing but Jaylah in the tree. His fears had been for nothing.

“What are ye doing?” Scotty demanded next to him. He could hear the man’s own fear coming out now as frustration.

McCoy looked at Scotty as a tiny sound drifted down to them. Scotty gazed at him in surprise. Moments later Jaylah dropped to the ground in front of them, something tiny and noisy held in the crook of her arm.

“Look!” she said. She held out a small bundle of fur towards them.

“You scared the hell out of us for a kitten?” McCoy almost yelled.

“Shhh! You’ll frighten him! Look how cute he is!”

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” McCoy muttered and turned around to walk back to the pasture gate.

Set 15 years after the events of the FNAF fanfic "The Superstar Miracle", Sunbeam (formerly known as "Mini-Sun") and Elise Taylor are now a couple, and they even have children: Sunlight, a plucky young feminine animatronic who wants nothing more than to have fun, and Milagro, a 4-year-old boy who wants nothing more but for his hopes and dreams to come true.

Things go well until Fazbear Entertainment decides for Freddy and his band to have "Minis" like how Sundrop had a son (who was in fact Sunbeam) years prior. Sunbeam is offended because he feels that they're just cashing off of a trait of his that he believed was sentimental to him: Being the son of a well-known animatronic.

Unbeknownst to Sunbeam, however, Sunlight falls for Mini-Freddy and also looks deeper beyond her father's childhood when it comes to her family history.

Day 15: Mothman

(Ah yes, the grand return of everyone's favorite psychically driven anxiety insect. Honestly, I quite like writing for the guy. Something about him is just so nice. It's probably the anxiety.) Hello there diary- journal- thing? I don’t know. Coraline just told me to write down interesting things that happen in here. Says it might help me feel a little better about life. Like what happened a few days ago! I’ve been hanging by this tree for a little while. I’ve been sensing for a bit now that something is going to happen with that tree. It’s old and brittle and I can hear the cracking it does. Not to mention the aura of danger it gives off. Luckily there were plenty of flowers nearby so I could at least drink something. Oh shoot, I almost forgot to mention. It was right by a road. That’s why I was so worried. I figured it would fall someday, I just didn’t know if it would fall on someone or something. But as usual my instincts were correct. There was a big storm this morning, really bad. The rain was just pouring and pouring and the wind was howling really loud. I was pretty scared since usually I tend to sit out storms. They aren’t very good for my wings, all the rain does a number on my scales. But then I could hear the tree being pulled out of its roots. Even worse, I saw headlights! There was a car coming down the street! I knew that car too, it was Weatherby’s. I had sensed a small bit of that danger around her but I ignored it since the tree was stronger. I was panicking really badly then. That’s when I actually decided to do something. I ran right onto that road and I spread my wings out as much as they could! I didn’t even care about the rain and wind. I also had to make my eyes glow a lot. The flashes always stop people. I could see her shock through the car window but what I focused on was hearing the tree crash behind me. That wasn’t the worst part however, oh no. I wasn’t paying attention and a branch went straight through my wing. That’s when I fell to the ground. Then the strangest thing happened. I was picked up. I didn’t want to move, both because of the pain and because of how confused I was. But Ms. Weatherby had actually taken me into her car! I was surprised once I got my bearings. We both know how I get around people. But she let me stay for a bit and even took the branch out of my wing. She was so kind to me. She didn’t care about what I was, she was just grateful that I saved her. I can’t talk so I wrote to her telling her about my powers and my work trying to help people. And she actually believed me! I thought they would never believe me, not after the bridge. She was wonderful. Even better, she was able to send a letter over to the warehouse inviting me for tea and nectar! I’ve never been invited anywhere before. I hope I don’t mess it up. I’ll write in here again afterwards. I guess Coraline was right. I feel better already.
