Whumpee is locked in an empty dark room with a metronome. It ticks back and forth at a steady pace, 24/7. It never stops. Whumpee has no idea what time it is, how long they've been there, or even when they are fed. They can't even find the source of that metronome, it's like it changes places. Soon enough, they start going mad.

Another metronome prompt:

Whumper uses a metronome to hypnotize Whumpee and make them repeat every cruel, messed up word they say. The ticking never leaves Whumpee's mind.

my absolute dream house is a little bit midcentury (i saw a beautiful house on instagram) but ultimately minimalist but using warm materials (off white walls in warm grey or blue tones with hardwood floors is my rly rly favourite combination. airy). minimalist and highly practical design. storage and space for the colour in the room to come from things i already use , art stuff, hiking gear, plants, dishes. but space for clear surfaces, space for resting my brain and eyes and everything to be put away. big window that faces trees or a wide open space, not something overstimulating. i would love that

Good very early morning! I was stricken with a spurt of manic energy, the gym was closed,and I had creative inspiration. I've had this grey camo flannel/jacket/heavy shirt/thing for a couple months, and though it matches my wardrobe, it just hasn't been...inspiring?

First addition was a front pocket chain. (Idea stolen from my friend Quinn.) I contemplated sewing it down, then realized I could just put safety pins on the inside.

I put a couple tiny studs along the front shoulder seam, then jammed the awl into my finger and gave up.

Second addition was a lot more chain. I found a costume necklace that drapes down to your navel or whatever. I marked it out evenly, pinned it down, drew x's on the inside yoke, and it turned out uneven. Probably because it was 3 am. I actually really like it! And it looks better on--the hanger isn't as wide as my shoulders.

Third addition was corduroy cuffs. Ever since I got offcuts from another sewist, I've been saving these corduroy scraps. I put them on the cuffs as a sensory fidget!

I also moved both sleeve buttons to the ends of the cuffs because my giant meat hands always catch in them.

I cut out and hemmed two front patch pockets for my hands, but my bobbin tension is acting up and it's 4:30 am. I also want to put webbing on the shoulders and maybe more studs. We shall try again tomorrow!

hate how people assign sensory tools as childish , and then companies only make designs for kids . some people do make " adult sensory toys " but seem to mostly be jewellery pieces , which …

anyone can use chewables , popits , squishies , whatever . but seem to most often design these for kids , with bright gaudy colours and cartoonish looks .

then of course , many of these things never last long - thicker ones hold up longer , but anything else can be disaster , especially popits . have pile of broken things at this point , and always have to look for more .

but really need these things , or else hands will move on to clothes and destroy those . just wish people would actually make these kind of things with adults in mind , sturdier and bigger for adult hands with more variety in design , and not just subtle sensory jewellery .
