my new modern au tmn set up in my brain to imagine is like, they bought a couple of flats next to each other or terraced houses or something so theyre very nearby and its basically communal and they live like in zadash. beau is studying and working and so's caleb. jester does a tattoo apprenticeship with orly and does very popular commissions of peoples ocs. they have sofa beds for guests but also cads bedroom is a little bit of a guest bedroom when she they it he isnt there bc she lives at home rly and is pretty poorly and in a chronic illness + disability way but theyve kept this very cosy minimal room thats got tons of quilts and beau uses the meditation pillow in there when she wants to try meditation again and when cad is there and has the energy to travel there she and jester sleep in a blanket pile and watch movies on jesters laptop . and also veth lives like around the corner with luc and yeza and they all have dinner together regularly especially when cads back bc they save energy for cooking bc its liketheir fave thing so tmn have these big cosy dinners with like big ol bowls of couscous and like a tajine and salad

ceasefire deal has happened ^ but israel is still murdering people as these articles are going out. and the first phase includes people being able to return to their homes, which israel has destroyed. its unforgivable. also "Critically, Israel has insisted that no written guarantees be given to rule out a resumption of its attacks once the first phase is complete and its civilian captives returned.".. hopefully the ceasefire gives palestinian people time and some peace. even a little bit 🕊️

sorry if this is too personal a question but. are you religious or spiritual at all? would love to hear you talk about it, if you don’t mind i mean. they way you talk about caduceus and his faith is really compelling to me, so i was curious is all

not religious at all, sometimes a bit spiritual. i dont believe in a god/s or afterlife or hell and very much am opposed to the idea that humans are super special divinely created beings separate from animals (and also religious beliefs that are anti-evolution, like young earth creationism for instance, and any religion that tries to control the bodies of people outwith it. pretty evil to do that with something so subjective tbh). (obligatory disclaimer that im not talking about every single aspect of every single religion on earth before anyone says anything). besides that, i also think theres power from the natural world and can feel it - big dark hum of a mountain, alive watery feel of a huge tree etc. theres an energy. i also believe in peoples stories and folklore and spiritual things projected onto people and animals and think thats powerful too. like feeling someone who died in a bird or a seal or the wind or just feeling connected to them anyway. or like seal people like the selkie or other similar sea creature myths from other cultures, i like them a lot. i think the universe is really amazing on its own and theres something so powerful about making eye contact with a seal and knowing im a mammal too and that it sees me, and i love to touch earth and know its made of millions of years + feel grief its so destroyed now + know im still animal rather than a super put-together separated god human. keep urself humble about it. im ok with being a cosmic space accident/coincidence with so many things extremely bigger than me. and im ok with people and animals just stopping when we die and being dirt or ash again, doesnt mean it doesnt matter. but yea yes! im glad you like my posts about it, its something i really like especially in stories to explore, and especially im a big fan of a nature god , like the wildmother obviously but also in princess mononoke for instance with the person/deer face, love that guy hes awesome

new and advanced headcanon: as healers, when the clays visit shadycreek run for supplies they also provide the people who live there who are pretty poor iirc with healthcare such as healing sprains and abortions and other such essential things adn they do it for free and absolutely refuse to trade healing for goods. they will trade other things though such as bowls they made or spoons they carved

Just wanted to start of by saying that your art is really very cool and it always makes me happy to see it. Anyways i just started doing digital art and it feels so weird and blehh, and beacause your art is so nice i was wondering if you could maybe share your process or if you just have some tips:)).

i find digital art tricky too , its overwhelming sometimes and can take a long time. my advice is find nice brushes and also to zoom out and not try to be too neat because that rly held me back . like if its a little bit weird people probably wont notice especially bc they wont be zoomed in x10000 into the canvas. its hard to be loose digitallly but try ur best it will help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you dont need to draw every detail meticulously

i also wonder what happens to people who, if the gods are eaten, have divinity as part of their bodies. what happens to yasha and her wings? like shes an aasimar its fully linked you cant disconnect her from divinity even outside of the stormlord. and also i think about, what happens to people who give their bodies to their gods? metaphorically even, but also like caduceus and his family and everyone buried in the grove. theyre all a temple like their bodies are the wildmothers. but also also i just think , are there going to be a bunch of people on exandria who's bodies just fall apart ?

cant help but think about if predathos gets loose and starts eating gods , if the wildmother is hurt or must leave, what will happen to the protection grown around the blooming grove? will they stay because they were grown there or are they holy and cant exist without her. the grove and several other pockets of the savalirwood are protected innately by the wildmother too, sort of temperature controlled but most importantly alive and flourishing in the weird semi-dead savalirwood. i wonder if ludinus' plan ends up happening after all if the damage he did to molaesmyr and the savalirwood will end up swallowing the grove too after it survived it and pushed against it for over a century. kind of a sad thought to me : ( whatever. thinks of when cad asked bells hells to 'do what feels kind' in regards to making a decision about it all
