I don't think I expressed enough how much I do actually like that Yuji is this... I don't know how to really put it into words but... how Yuji is this unique embodiment of horror and strangeness.

Like, just the details of his character makes him stand out to me. Everyone in JJK has some bit of oddness to them, and he has own unique kind.

He looks like sunshine personified and he is. He is the sweetest kid there is. And he looks like the typical "Oh, he must be the normal one who has to adapt to the horrors the other have to go through" character. Ha ha... no, he is the horror. He is the "creepy child" trope without even showing that he is.

Yuji is the kind of horror you actually have to put thought into to even realize "Oh, wait, that is actually fucked up". Fridge horror, the horror that you think nothing too much of until you really open your mind to it.

Like, he's this own level of odd with how he behaves and thinks.

First, it's his interests. Yuji didn't mind really being in the occult club. Of course, his reasons was that the club time allowed him enough time to see his grandfather. But also, even though he didn't have to really participate, he actively does. Iguchi and Sasaki exploring haunted places? Yuji tags along and isn't frightened at all. Mind you, they like going go haunted places because they like being scared. Why folks watch horror movies and go to attractions, right?

Yuji will play with an oujia board.

Fan of a movie series titled the Human Earthworm and actually can find the beauty and love in said movies. He's so real for that.

So far it's just simple stuff like that, right?

First time seeing a curse? Admits to being scared, but barely even flinches. When Megumi talks about the Cursed Finger and mentions how curses want to eat it? His response?

"Why, is it good?"

IT'S A FINGER?!

When informed about Inumaki's technique? What was the example he uses? "So if he says 'die' then it will happen?" Out of all the examples?! He was more impressed by the technique than actually fearful of it.

That Cursed Doll he had to train with? Called it "cute" and Gojo questioned that. In fact, when meeting Yaga, Yuji commented on how the dolls were cute.

How he fights is even a little odd and unsettling. He immediately goes into action, doesn't even need to hear the bell. He always has this look on his face that "Yeah, your kneecaps are mine". Not once has I ever recalled he actually smiles during a fight. Unlike some of the others who have showcased some enjoyment or some type of being unhinged in a "to hell with it" mood, Yuji always has this almost animalistic glare, that kind of unhinged. He isn't holding back, even against normal people like the high school bullies in chapter 163. Sometimes I question if he even knows how to hold back.

He doesn't like to get violent or kill. If he has to, he will. But it's just not anything he can brush off or be like "Yeah, I like doing it".

Then the idea of dying? Yeah, Yuji makes it clear he knows people will die. Execution placed on his head? He accepts dying with Sukuna instead of asking if there's any way to work around it, find a solution. Keep in mind, Sukuna is downright evil and does nothing but make life hard for Yuji every chance gets.

However, by the end, Yuji changes from choosing to die with Sukuna, so that no one else has to suffer, to offering Sukuna to live along side him even if no one accepts that.

Oh, let's not forget his family.

Yeah, Sukuna I just mentioned? That's his uncle by soul reincarnation. Jin, Yuji's dad who we don't really know what happened to him, is the reincarnation of Sukuna's twin that Sukuna ate in the womb. Doesn't stop there.

Yuji's mother, Kenjaku? Actually a 1000+ year old sorcerer who body hops by implanting their brain into whatever body they find convenient for their plans. One of those bodies happen to be Kaori Itadori, Jin's wife. Jin's dead wife. Kenjaku played wife in a woman's dead body, the same body Yuji was born from.

Yuji was born out of a corpse. With one of the Cursed Finger somehow already sealed inside him.

His other family members include Death Paintings: Choso, Eso, Kechizu, Noranso, Sho-oso, Tanso, Sanso, Kotsuso, and Shoso. His older siblings (technically) through Kenjaku, who was possessing Noritoshi Kamo's (the ancestor) body at the time. And guess what? Their blood consists of a human's blood, a cursed spirit's and Kenjaku's.

Yeah, like them, Yuji isn't really human. Again, born with one of Sukuna's Cursed Fingers already sealed in him. Without Cursed Energy, he was already outrunning cars and possessing strength not normal for the average human.

Oh, wait, and let's not forget his 'appetite'. He will eat anything if it means saving people. And he has. Other than Cursed Fingers, the other Cursed Objects Yuji consumed are his own siblings 4 - 9. Mind you, they were akin to fetuses contained in glass jars. (He isn't happy about eating them or anything for that matter though. I wouldn't be either.)

In all, he's just fridge horror with a some goodness mixed in there. I'm just rambling here.

- Variations of the same word are grouped together- for example, ‘Shit’ ‘Bullshit’ and ‘BS’ were all counted towards the total for ‘Shit’.

-The exception to this was ‘Bloody’ ‘Hell’ and ‘Bloody Hell’- all three were counted separately.

- If a word was not used as a curse, it was not counted. For example, ‘I spent seventy years in Hell’ was not counted, while ‘What the hell?’ was.

Ofc, they have.

For example Poseidon and Hades love to see Rengoku and Tomioka training their breathing stiles. Usually Okita is training with Muichiro!Y/n and Tokito sometime teach him the breathing style (same goes for Sasaki with other Hashiras).

About number 1 and 2

If they ever met the demons, Hashiras will just drag them away.

But me watching Karl and Gary, so I would say Poseidon will have neutral feelings towards Kokushibo. Just because Kokushibo is His Pearl's best friend.

About Akaza... Well he have this strange obsession for Kyojuro!Reader, which Hades (obviously) don't like.

Family in hell | Dad!Chishiya x Mom!Reader + Platonic!Son

Chishiya would blame god if he ever believed in one to start with. He really saw no reason for his family to be in a place like this.

He on other hand...well he knew he was not perfect and had lots of problems when it came down to emotions and being social with others, not caring for the rest was his way of living.

"Dad?"

Till his son came to the world.

Truly, he was an accident. Chishiya never planned to get you pregnant and your relationship had started as only a sexual one. But later he found himself falling harder for you.

And since he sucked at showing feelings his way was to have even more sex with you. So maybe that did the trick and ended with you pregnant of him.

In that moment he was happy, for the first time in years he was so happy to have a family, even if it came at some of the worse times possible with him still in college.

Oh, If only he had know these were not going to be the worse times.

This place, whatever it was, this was the worse.

It was hell.

Chishiya had decided he would use anyone and everything to keep both of you safe.

"Sasaki, he is sleeping love, the day was long, why dont we go get him some food?" You gentle voice could be hear in the dak room.

It had been a hard day indeed. Chishiya almost lost his son because of a stupid player and then you got a nasty burn protecting him.

He had took you back to the beach and making sure your wound was not severe. He had to calm his crying son, Sasaki was young and intelligent but he was still a kid who loved his parents, crying was not something he would not do.

Completly different from Chishiya.

When the hard truth of this place has hit him, Chishiya explained to his young kid how the "games" needed to be winned no matter what.

"But cant we all win?"

These were his words at first, he had got your kind nature.

"Not here. Do you remember Hajime?" His kid nodded at the mention of his school bully "He was always mean right? And wanted to win everytime, well now I need you to do the same"

"You only have to do this for a short time, your dad and I will be taking care of the rest" You added ruffling his hair.

The memory faded away as he hear the door Open and only one pair of steps.

"Where is he?" Chishiya asked turning around to see you with some fruits.

"He is fine and safe, Kuina took him to the small pool and she will make sure no one comes close to him"

Chishiya nodded, taking the appel you had brought back.

"We need to leave this place, I dont trust it will support itself much longer"

"Chishiya, Hatter knows what he is doing" You said taking a seat besides him.

"Does he? Do I need to remind you we had to specially ask that he would let the three of us go together? He is giving this people fake hope, and thats dangerous"

His words were true, part of you did not want to believe it. The beach was a safe heaven at first, having a bed to come after the games, food...but it was too good to be true. The place has its dark side and you knew they could use your son to get Chishiya.

"I know, but we need to be carefull. You need to tell me your plan"

"No. You and Sasaki Will have to act as if you two never had any type of information. If someone goes down it wont you or him, and trust me it wont be me either" Chishiya assured you kissing the top of your head. "Today I almost lost him and you, I wont let that happen again, I promise"

The door opened again a nervous Kuina appearing and your son running into the room with the biggest smile.

"Mom! Dad! Look" Sasaki said pointing at one animal made by balloons "A guy made me this!! And he asked if you two would go to the bar but I dont know what that is, oh!! And then I-"

"Sorry" Kuina whispers to you "the guy was Tatta, he is good. But I tought it would be better if he is with his parents"

"Thank you Kuina" you responded smiling then looking at how Chishiya was nodding as your kid told him about this animal and its name. It was the most sincere smile he has ever made.

"I will go now, if you two want some...alone time let me know, I love taking care of him" Kuina said giving you a wink then leaving.

"Dad, will we go back to the Real world?" Sasaki asked making Chishiya freez.

"I dont know Son, but what I do know its that your mom and you are the most important things to me and nothing Will change it"

"And I love you and mom too!! I Will fight for you Dad, mom will be safe"

You had to turn your face to not let him see your tears. He was so inoccent and sweet, truly not made for here.

Chishiya pulled you and your kid for a family hug, with how things had been and how things could get he had learn this was the best moment he could have.

And he swears, more times like this one will come. Because no one matters besides his family.

The Ghosts of London

Inspired by the season 2 fanfictions done by @edwinspaynes and @nuria-schnee, I have decided to redo my own version of Season 2 for Dead Boy Detectives!

More information to come out soon! (hopefully lol)

Again, before we start, please read this analysis done by @bluebugjay when it comes to the Cryland (Charles/Crystal) ship because it is such a wonderful insight to what their relationship could have become, if Netflix wasn't full of cowards. While I really do like these two as a couple and would have rooted for them if things had been different (the same goes for the Montwin ship, aka Edwin/Monty), I truly think they work better as friends than romantic partners, especially with the whole "he's-a-ghost-and-she's-alive" thing going on.

Summary: Upon their return to London, the Dead Boy Detective Agency has been busier than ever, all due in part to their resident psychic and their newfound workload from the Lost & Found Department. But it has been almost two months since Port Townsend, and none of them wish to discuss the issues- or feelings- lingering since then. Without Death chasing them, it is only a matter of time before they need to put their own unfinished business to rest.

-The Case of the Midnight Train: As their first serious case since their overseas trip, Dead Boy Detective Agency investigate the mysterious disappearances of ghosts at an abandoned train station. But when Crystal learns of what happened in Hell, and someone from her past offers to help, the trio are forced to confront what they thought to have left behind in America.

-The Case of the Deranged Dollmaker: Still struggling from their recent tragedy, the trio try to put themselves back together to deal with a nasty stalker case. Unfortunately, their past continues to haunt them, as the latest target is not only a witch but someone from Charles' past….

-The Case of the Butterfly Grotto: When the agency is hired to investigate a mysterious cave off the coast of Ireland, they believe it to be a fool's errand. Soon, the evidence begins to point towards the fae folk and ancient rituals, and the trio are forced to complete a seemingly impossible trial.

-The Case of the Iron Dragon: Tensions are running high at the agency, and with Charles feeling like he has let everyone down, his insecurities begin to eat away at his very soul. So, when the trio are hired to recover some family heirlooms from a dangerous creature, he will do anything to prove the voices in his head wrong. Meanwhile, Crystal continues her research into the strange polar bear charm.

-The Case of the Mangled Mermaids: The agency is sent to Rye, East Sussex in order to investigate the growing number of people drowning but are soon caught up in finding a skeletal pirate ship and taking part in a gruesome play about mermaids. But the dark waters are the least of one detective's worries, as his own feelings are threatening to drown him.

-The Case of the Birmingham Beast: The agency heads to Charles' hometown to investigate a series of murders, where the culprit turns out to be more of a victim than those who lost their lives. Curiosity gets the better of Charles, who goes to visit his parents but gets more than his bargains for.

-The Case of the Red Moon Gala: A mysterious letter arrives at twilight. An invitation to an exclusive party, where the living and supernatural can mingle for one evening. But when the guests start to show up dead, the agency has to race against the clock to save everyone. Though with Crystal's parents on the guest list, and a certain guest toying with Charles' heart, this might be easier said than done.

-The Case of Niko Sasaki: After learning about the connection between Niko and the Finality, the detectives are horrified by what the Night Nurse has known all along. To set things right, Crystal enters the Nietherlands and faces with her demons one last time, all to bring their beloved friend home.

One Piece Secret Parent Theories

This post is for documenting all the major and plausible "secret parent" theories that are popular in the fanbase, as well as the evidence and arguments for those theories being canon. So far, I have four big ones:

Crocodile is a trans man and Luffy's other parent

Crocodile is 46 and Luffy is 19, so Crocodile is old enough.

Ivankov said that they know Crocodile's secret as blackmail to get him to behave when helping them break out of Impel Down. Ivankov can change other people's genders, thus Crocodile has the past connections to be a trans man.

Ivankov is a founding member of the Revolutionary Army, just like Dragon. Thus Crocodile has an indirect connection to Dragon.

Dragon's family name wasn't public knowledge, people didn't know he was related to Garp. Even within the Revolutionary Army, it was just a rumor. Therefore, it's possible Crocodile wouldn't recognize Luffy's name from his bounty poster if he didn't know Dragon's family name and Dragon named their son "Luffy" without his knowledge.

Baroque Works has a particular focus on gender equality and diversity, especially with Bon Clay.

It would completely reframe Luffy vs Crocodile in Alabasta.

Queen is Franky's father

Queen is 56 and Franky is 36, so Queen is old enough.

Queen and Franky have the same XF Blood Type.

Queen's Vivre Card revealed that he had a kid 36 years ago. Franky is 36.

Queen's Vivre Card goes on to say that he abandoned his son when he was 10. Franky was abandoned when he was 10.

Franky doesn't go by his birth name Cutty Flam, and his appearance is drastically different than it was before. So Queen wouldn't recognize him.

Queen also doesn't go by his real name Scien, a change he made after abandoning his kid when he joined the Animal Kingdom Pirates.

Queen barely saw Franky in Wano. Queen briefly saw Franky on the monitor during Yasuie's execution, and then again briefly in Onigashima when Franky ran over Big Mom and then got in the Franky Shogun for the Straw Hat team pose.

Franky never saw Queen at all outside of his Brachiosaur form, also in the team pose scene.

Franky and Queen are both very talented with machinery and robotics, it's possible that Queen taught Franky some of that when he was a kid.

Sakazuki is Hibari's father

Sakazuki is 55 and Hibari is 17, so he's old enough.

Sakazuki and Hibari are the only two characters in the series with a Hiroshima dialect.

They both are Marines from the North Blue.

They have the same F Blood Type.

The official spin-off manga "Kobiyama Who Looks Like Koby - Two Piece in a Pod" is about a One Piece fanboy in the real world who looks like Koby. The main love interest is a girl named Akaishi who vaguely resembles Hibari, and her father looks just like Sakazuki.

Sasaki is Kokoro's son and Chimney's father

Sasaki is 34, Kokoro is 72, and Chimney is 10, so the ages line up.

Sasaki was born in the Grand Line, and Kokoro's son was born in Water Seven.

Sasaki is a Fishman, which works with Kokoro being a Mermaid and Chimney being a quarter-Mermaid with how Fishman/Mermaid genetics works.

Sasaki has green hair and tan skin, just like Kokoro and Chimney.

Kokoro and Sasaki are both alcoholics. Alcoholism can be hereditary.

Sasaki was Franky's main fight in Wano, and Franky is Kokoro's adoptive son.

Are there any other significant "secret parent" theories I'm missing?

I know there's one about Brook being Kuzan's father because they look similar and both ended up with ice powers, but the ages just don't line up. Brook died 52 years ago and Kuzan is 49. Maybe Brook could be Kuzan's grandparent, but Brook being from the West Blue and Kuzan being from the South Blue really throws a wrench in that whole theory.

I know there's another one about Dragon being Robin's dad, therefore making Luffy and Robin half-siblings, but outside of Robin and Luffy frequently being on the same mental wavelength, I really don't see enough evidence for this theory to include it besides the honorable mention here.

I wish there was a good one for Yamato's mom, but unfortunately, Yamato was born in November the exact same year that Kaido came to Wano, meaning his parentage possibilities are "anyone outside of Wano" or "anyone in Wano". If he was born any other year (or even just earlier in the year), it'd at least be narrowed down to one or the other, but nope.

Last, but certainly not least, Katsura stars in a series of misadventures: - publishing books and dealing with “mixed reviews" - orchestrating an elaborate plan to capture Matsudaira and Kondou (this story is told from the perspectives of 20 main Gintama characters) - getting stuck in a broom closet with Sacchan and Madao - tracking down a lost video game cartridge

I was reading some old interviews to inazuma eleven's characters' japanese voice actors and i giggled every time Sasaki (Kageyama Reiji/Ray Dark's va) pointed out that Kageyama sees Kidou as if he was his son and that he feels paternal affections towards him, while Yoshino (Kidou/Jude's va) is a bit more reluctant to express himself in the same way as him about this topic lol During one of these interviews, Sasaki even says, out of nowhere "Kidou, you'd better come back to me right now" to Yoshino, who goes like "Wait, even now??? lol" and then goes in-character and says "No way! It's too late" lmao I love their interactions

M: Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?

I had this wild idea for an Accidental Baby Acquisition fic in which Crystal has an unplanned pregnancy (this is about 10 years after the events of Dead Boy Detectives and she's in her mid-20s) and though she has no desire to involve the father (yet another of her douchebag exes) she decides she does want to have the baby. Charles is thrilled because baby! but also terrified because what if it turns out he's like his dad after all? Edwin goes through the five stages of grief in 24 hours, from denial ("this agency cannot afford to have a baby! how will Crystal get any work done?" "this is why we should have had the maternity leave discussion a long time ago, Edwin" "what the bloody hell is maternity leave?!") to acceptance (Charles: "Let me talk to him. You go get some sleep." Crystal comes back the next morning to find the entire office covered in books on pregnancy and that Edwin has already drawn up diet plans/classical music playlists/the baby's entire linguistic education pathway. Charles: "I tried to stop him. Really I did." Edwin, hysterical: "We are doing this right! We are going to have the best baby!" Crystal: "Oh God.")

the baby loves being in the backpack (Charles' theory is that it reminds her of being in the womb. Crystal: "Charles Rowland, do not put my fucking baby into the same bag as that bomb!" Edwin: "Crystal! Language!")

at some point they discover the baby is an interdimensional being which is a whole other headache

Charles keeps referring to all this as "the Infamous Baby Debacle of 2034" and nobody can make him stop

The last chapter would be from the child's POV:

"Hi my name is Niko Surname von Hoverkraft and I can travel between dimensions. My mom is the most powerful woman in the world. My godfathers are dead and I'm not allowed to talk about it. I'm not related to Niko Sasaki but I wish I were because she's so pretty and it snows all the time in her dimension. I was walking outside in London with my godfathers. It was London so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of people stared at me, I guess because they can't see my godfathers so it looks like I'm talking to myself. I put up my middle finger at them."

P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)

Everyone thinks I'm an architect - I would love to think of myself as an architect - but actually I plan very little in advance. I think the best metaphor would be architect-gardener, in that I build a little trellis and let the story grow on it how it will.
