The Dead Boy Detectives billboard is live again!

The Save Dead Boy Detectives Billboard will be running until January 12, 2025. For the next 4 weeks, the billboard will be located at 5106 Hollywood Blvd, 5 minutes from the Netflix office on Hollywood Blvd.

This new billboard run will make history as the longest running fan-funded billboard of all time, with a grand total of 8 weeks!

The new location is exactly 1.2 miles from the Netflix building. It's also 5 minutes from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a high-traffic area that draws a great deal of tourists and is very busy during the holidays and New Year!

Monty, Edwin, and Charles (Christmas AU)

From the first time that Monty watched the Polar Express as a kid, he knew that he would never have to worry about losing the ability to hear Santa's sleigh bells- not because he had the faith in magic and miracles that could last him past all of the shit that the world would throw at him, but because his mother had never bothered to lie about Santa's existence in the first place. There was no faith to shatter. There was no magic to ruin. Christmas has never been anything but the midpoint of winter break, the sort of holiday that other kids would come back to school bragging about presents from while Monty got to sit through yet another party held by his mother to show off while he either sat up in his room or spent the night out alone in the forest, looking up at the stars.

But right now, as Monty shows off one of the only skills that Port Townsend gave him that he isn't entirely ashamed of, he thinks he might be beginning to understand why someone might hear that silver bell. Why someone might care enough to cling to magic well into adulthood. Why someone might care about the twinkling lights beyond the surface beauty.

Because god, skating with Charles and Edwin around the ice rink. Getting to hold Charles’ hand, because, despite being a self-professed cricket veteran, using ice skates is a lot different of a skill than batting a ball around. Getting to even outshow Edwin, a rather proficient skater in his own right, because Edwin might have learned how to skate during the holidays here in England, but no rink could ever compare to spending the vast majority of your winter breaks growing up teaching yourself to skate alone under the stars, knowing that you had to be good because if you fell, no one would care enough to come get you and take you home.

I know we make jokes about Edwin’s harem but it’s deeply tragic how every man who has ever desired Edwin romantically has also hurt him in profound ways. Simon is the reason Edwin was sent to hell. Monty abused his trust and nearly got him and Charles killed. The Cat King manipulated his repressed attraction and leashed him like a pet, keeping him trapped in a town with a murderous witch. All the while, the man Edwin actually loves, the man who has been nothing but kind and gentle and devoted towards him, does not love him back. Not in that way. Something Something Love is a punishment for not having been strong enough to remain alone.
