I desperately need non teen titans fans to know that we didn't come up with fab five. The Fabulous Foursome is what Dick, Donna, Wally, and Garth were called by the narrator when the team got properly started in The Brave and the Bold and Showcase. Roy was the fan pick to join the team through voting and thus the title "fab five" was born.

They're not just fabulous to the fans, they're fabulous canonically.

I'm thinking a lot about the Olympian!Dick Grayson stuff floating around.

What if during their rebellious late teens/early 20s Dick and Roy just dared each other to go to the Olympics. And so they show up out of nowhere and qualify at the last minute for their respective sports (gymnastics/ archery) without anyone really knowing them.

So they go to the Olympics and it becomes a story, because what are the odds that TWO different orphans-turned-billionaire-heirs are competing. They get hounded by accusations of having bought their way in, and they both use it as an opportunity to rave about their pre-wealth lives and their tight-knit communities that taught them their sports while (not so) subtly landing digs at the media/government for all the harm they've done to their communities.

All the while the two of them post a ton of videos and pics together so it becomes a Thing, because even without the rest of the story the idea of childhood friends (and maybe more 👀) both making it is enough to drive the internet crazy.

It only gets more insane when they both win multiple gold medals. For once, no one can claim they bought their way in as they annihilate the competition.

But then they disappear from their sports again and people speculate, desperate to find out if they have any intention of returning. For years no one gets a straight answer out of either of them.

Then, just as qualifying begins for the next Olympics, they suddenly show up again.

And Dick Grayson qualifies in archery and Roy Harper makes the USMG team as a specialist.

This is my preferred look for Green Arrow. I grew up seeing Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and this was the way Green Arrow looked on that show. Green Arrow just looks better like this, to me. Before Denny O'Neil sunk his teeth into him. Back when he was just a very fun hero, travelling around in his arrow car with his sidekick speedy. Speedy, who dennis o'neil used as a punching bag for his hamfisted drug story (which Stan Lee did first and probably better, by the way!). But I'll cut myself off before I get too angry at Denny O'Neil again. (Justice League of America #4):

Name

First we have the eldest twin who hatched during a full moon at midnight — Because of this, she was named after the moon and the starry night sky: Selene Amaris Jasmine Goetia.

Then we have the younger twin, who was born later that day at a sunny midday. Due to this, it only felt appropriate that she would be named after Sun and the Earth: Solera Lior Marigold Goetia.

Selene prefers to go by her full first name and doesn't often go by nicknames, though that doesn't stop her sister from calling her 'Sel' or even 'Jazzy'. Much to her embarrassment, though, her parents quite enjoy calling her 'Selene Jellybean' or just 'Jellybean' ��� Or worse 'Selly Belly'.

Otherwise, she is also affectionately called 'Moonlight or Starlight' by Stolas, and 'Moonflower or Snowdrop' by Roi.

Solera meanwhile, prefers nicknames and typically goes by 'Sol' or 'Lera'. And of course, she isn't excused from getting a playful and embarrassing nickname from her father's either — But unlike her sister, she likes them ( especially since they're not as bad as Selene's nicknames ). Some examples include 'Mari Berry' and 'Sunspot'.

'Sunshine, Sunlight and Sunflower' are also nicknames she'll be called by Stolas and Roi.

Gender

Both of them primarily identify as women, but they otherwise do partake in more gender-fluid expressions and will present themselves more masculine some days, or more androgynous on other days. It depends on their mood, but most of the time, they enjoy presenting more femininely.

Primary pronouns are she/they, but they also accept he/him pronouns on their more androgynous or masculine presenting days.

Personality

Selene is elegant, graceful, calm, intelligent and level-headed. Between the two sisters, she is the logical one who has a tendency to use her head more than her heart, and she has a strong sense of responsibility, which she takes quite seriously.

She strives to be reliable, and she highly values her family — To the point that she can be a bit overprotective of them at times. But Selene truly is loving and nurturing with her loved ones and those she considers close, and she always treats others with respect and mindful manners — ( As long as that respect and manners are returned ). Selene can also be a bit self-conscious at times and how people perceive her, so she always tries her best to present herself with high decorum and in a mature manner.

At times, she can also be incredibly cold to others whenever she is in an awful mood or if someone has pushed her to the limit of her anger. She is a silent-seether, however, she can be surprisingly petty and vengeful when she is pushed.

Solera on the other hand, is a bit more rugged and free-spirited. She is the twin who thinks more with her heart and her feelings, and prefers to be more spontaneous and live IN the moment.

Sol very much likes to let loose and have fun, which often caused her to get herself ( and her twin ) in trouble when they were young. She mellows out from her hyperactivity as she grows, but even so, she cares very little of what others think of her, and wholeheartedly will do what she wants, when she wants.

She can be a bit childish, selfish and self-centred at times, especially since Selene spoils her a lot and often was the one to excuse Sol's actions. When she is overwhelmed with feelings, especially negative ones, she can be quite explosive with her temper and say things she doesn't mean. When she gets like that, she always regrets it — But she does, eventually, learn to be more mindful of others as she matures.

Sol overall is very loving, affectionate, and would be your #1 supporter and personal cheerleader.

Special Talents

Selene inherits Stolas's magical affinity, and she grows to become very proficient in magic, especially when it pertains to space and ice-based magic. She even discovers new ways to cast spells as she grows, or she'll invent devices that will further advance magical technology.

Another talent of hers is Sword fighting — Fencing, mostly, so a rapier is her preferred weapon. However, she is able to use other sword-like weaponry, knives and daggers. Her large double wings also make her a very proficient flyer, though she isn't as agile or quick as her sister. Her wings are better for silent gliding and soaring long distances.

Solara on the other hand, has a real knack for both Botany and some fields of Geology. She has always had a strong special interest in plants and various rocks, gemstones and sediments, and by the time she's an adult, she's practically an expert on the topics. And because of these interests, Sol really enjoys digging into the ground, and she's practically a professional digger! Her green thumb seemed to have manifested in her gaining plant and earth-based magic too.

And despite Sol's small and somewhat stubby wings, she can fly very fast in short bursts and out manoeuvre most flyers.

Like Selene, she does have some combat training, but rather than weaponry, she has a preference for close-combat and melee. Her legs and talons are especially strong and can easily crush rocks into dust.

Who they like better

Selene and Solara love both ther fathers, but I would say that Selene maybe leans a bit more to Stolas, while Solera leans more towards Roi.

Who they take after more

Selene definitely takes after both and is a well-mixture of the two, but I think she primarily takes after Stolas more. However, is seems Roi's paternal side definitely came through to Selene, especially with her blue eyes and ice-abilities, which resemble her Great Uncle Sterling.

With Solera, she physically takes after Roi more and her exuberance is likely more inspired by Stolas's flamboyance and dramatics. In general though, she otherwise doesn't actually take after them much! Roi likes to joke that she's similar to his best friend, and honorary sister — Penny.

Personal Head canon

Both of them looked up to Octavia when they were just fledglings, and even now, they still adore their older sister!

I think I'm the only person in the anti denny o'neil tag. Which baffles me, because so many of his writing decisions or editing decisions grate on me. He helped platform Frank Miller! He wrote Martian Manhunter out of the JLA! He wrote Snapper Carr and Wonder Woman out of the JLA! He made Green Arrow preachy, he killed Larry Lance so Green Arrow could date Black Canary, and he made Green Arrow kick his sidekick out for being a drug addict! He also made batman overly dark and edgy again! Under his editorial watch in the 80s, they killed off Jason Todd! And I don't know the morals of letting someone write about the vicious murder of a prepubescent kid, but it seems wrong! The man made a lot (and I do mean a lot) of poor writing decisions.

There's only a few things he did okay, and I'll list them: I hate his solo batman work, but his villian work seems competent. He helped write a Joker comic book, so I appreciate that. He also did some writing for The Creeper, one of DC's most entertaining and weird heroes. And finally: his Wonder Woman and Superman stuff doesn't sound awful. It sounds loads better than his JLA or Green Lantern stuff, at least. So he did some tolerable stuff. But when he struck out, he really, really struck out. And I wish we talked about that more.
