For once he was trying to keep his head down. He didn't need to get into any legal trouble today, and this seemed like the easiest way to avoid it. The library especially was a useful place, one he knew he'd have loved when he was younger. That was a long time ago, for now he could at least learn. "Excuse me, do you have anything about the crusades?" odd perhaps, but part of him needed to know what had happened.

Headcanon where after so many arguments between the batkids and Bruce over his paranoia and complete disregard for his kids privacy, the entire family had compromised with (in the healthiest way possible) downloading life360 on their phones and that's how they all keep track of each other.
Now Bruce knew that this is mostly for his benefit and is supposed to be a healthy alternative for his unhealthy paranoia and helicopter parenting, but what he wasn't expecting was for his kids to start keeping track of him.
He's putting gas in his car and Dick calls him because apparently Dick has been watching him drive around on the app? And Bruce is currently at a gas station thats right around the corner from a Taco Bell and now Dick wants him to get food for everyone since he's already there.
He's driving home from a meeting and Steph calls him because her and Duke were shopping in the area and wants to know if he can pick them up, when he asks how she knew he was on the same street, he gets a "Oh I just like to stalk everyone on the app for funsies." as an answer.
Jason calls him and he can barely get out a hello before Jason cuts him off, "Bruce why the fuck is your phone battery on 5%, charge your damn phone" which completely stuns him because why does he know that. He clears his throat before answering. "Jason, what?"
"Everyone can see each others phone batteries on '360, now charge your phone." Is all he gets before Jason hangs up on him.

League members discussing meeting Robin at work:
"Compared to Bats, Robin was a total sweetheart. Ball of sunshine."
"Man, must've been a good day then, the kid I met was a real anklebiter. He pulled out a sword and everything."
"Anklebiter is harsh, the sweet boy I met barely said a word, he just kept asking about Themyscira and the lasso."
"He? I met a blonde girl."
"No, no, black haired boy with blue eyes. We're talking about Robin."
"Yeah same here, blue eyed and tanned."
"Pretty sure he had green eyes. And talked fancy. And kind of scolded me for time travelling."
"The child I met was paler than the moon."
"I'm telling you I met a girl, and she was Robin."
"Well... either we're all wrong or we're all right."
So they arrive at the conclusion that Bats has a shape-shifter for a kid.

Jason both loves and dreads seeing Wonder Woman. Loves bc it’s Wonder Woman, enough said. Dreads bc he’s incapable of acting normal around her, he stutters and blushes and it’s really ruining his reputation

Jason hates being reminded of his time in the warehouse, so he eliminates all connection to it, even if it takes extreme measures.
I need to stop giving extremely traumatized characters more trauma. This is from before the Bats learned about Red Hood

Somehow it was surprising that even here authority still seemed to want him in a jail cell. Well that was mostly due to his habit of taking the law as guidelines only, and choosing which ones he followed. It wasn't like anyone actually got hurt, just some bruised egos from the rich. He gave virtually all of it to people who needed it more anyway, just keeping enough to make sure he ate. Still, that apparently was illegal, and he could have groaned seeing the detective. "Ah... what crime did I commit today? Or, what crime would you like to pin on me, but still cannot find any evidence that I'm anything other than a upstanding civilian".

I like to think that of all the bat kids, Jason is the one who asks Bruce for money the most.
He’ll message Bruce or show up in the bat cave out of nowhere and be like “Can I have 2,000 dollars cash 😁”
“Sure, why?”
“Rent.”(bullets)

The joker has stolen the childhood of all of the robins.
For Dick clowns used to represent a happy place. The clowns at the circus were he’s family. But now he get tormented by a man pretending to be one. Whatever memories Dick still has from the circus will forever be tinted by this vile man.
For Jason he literally took his childhood. He killed the kid and then that kid came back a man. Jason didn’t get to graduate, get a first partner, nor go through puberty. All that was stolen by a clown with a crowbar.
For Steph he installed a fundamental fear in her. The batgirl mask is supposed to feel empowering, as if you’re at the top of the world and no one can shoot you down. But the joker can, and he did with Barbra. (Ik I’m reaching with this one)
For Tim you’d think I’ll bring up joker junior or maybe the whole christmas-rode-kill-kidnapping situation, but no. Those happened after Tim lost his childhood. The joker made him Robin. Tim was perfectly content with his civilian life. But the joker killed Jason and Batman needs a Robin and no one else will stand up. So Tim dawned the mask of a dead kid and grew into the role.
For Duke- the joker took his parents from him. The joker doesn’t even know it. He didn’t blink twice- hell he didn’t even do it on purpose. Collateral damage.
And Damian didn’t truly have a childhood to be stolen. But even he can see how this singular man has turn him family upside down and inside out.

thinking about how isolated jason was throughout his entire life is not for the weak!!!
as a child, he was homeless, both parents gone, and had no friends. he couldn't have been more isolated during a time where he should've been making friends in school.
as robin, he had no hero friends his age like dick, tim, and damian have. all he had was bruce and alfred. it didn't seem like any of the school kids particularly liked him. he was so alone during his robin years, those young teenage years where he should've been surrounded by friends and peers.
then he comes back to life, gets sent to a care home where he's unaware of everything, survives alone on the streets for a year, lives with talia for a year where he's just basically used like a science experiment while catatonic, and then he finally returns to gotham and literally just works alone. artemis and bizzaro come later on but even they eventually leave.
he was so alone and it's sad to think that he never got the chance to be a typical hero or child like dick, tim, and damian got to be

BATMAN & HIS NO KILL RULE
Like it just says he has a no killing rule and no little exploration into it? You just leave it at that? No reasoning nothing?
From my perspective, how I see it Batman’s no killing rule was set as a barrier for him and his kids. To you know stop them from going over the edge.
Like you’re telling me… he had so much shit done to him and he just accepts it like that? He’ll no. He knows that if he kills even one person he’ll never go back from it. SO he puts measures in place in this case his no kill rule to stop himself from taking a dive into the abyss.
Think about it. Nightwing (as robin) was hellbent on getting justice even if it meant killing and if not for Batman’s rule he would have.
Red Hood (has killed but that was mostly pit madness tbh so it doesn’t really count) he would have killed joker and went on a murdering spree.
Black Bat/ Orphan & Robin ( current? one) were raised as weapons and assassins respectively. Enough said.
As for Spoiler and Signal not really familiar with them as I haven’t really read their comics but if given the chance no matter how goofy and nice they are would end somebody’s life.
Also Oracle, she has access to all that tech it would be a breeze to kill someone or hire someone to do it for her and cover it up because she has the means.
Like really you people don’t explore the no kill rule and why it was put in place enough. You think Batman put it in place just because he’s morally above it? Please.
