Sesshomaru being such a strong advocate for autonomy is so freaking good, it gets me every time. Like, sure, dude may ask a question because he’s curious, but, “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”

And fucking- don’t even get me started with him killing Mukotsu and the whole, “I can survive just fine on my own” scene in later seasons. Plus him stopping every time Rin and Jaken go to speak so he can look at them and actively listen to what they’re saying is so-

I love him so much. And like the only reason he has travel companions is because they decided to travel with him and he just kinda let them.

I will have to admit the sequel to InuYasha (Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon) where they confirmed Sesshomaru/Rin as a canon ship, and the whole downward transphobic spiral of JK Rowling’s legacy on Twitter and of her going bonkers, dampened a lot of my creative enthusiasm for G&G if I’m being honest /j.

Background context: I’d written the majority of G&G back in my junior/senior year of high school up till probably end of uni, and it has 16 chapters thus far, making it the longest multichaptered WIP out of all my multifandom WIPs. But because I started other WIPs in other fandoms and I am only one writer, to make it fair, I made the executive decision to focus on my other projects which’d coincidentally snuck up on me. And because I do genuinely intend to return to it eventually instead of abandoning it (if any work of mine is discontinued, I will mark it as such and change the incomplete status to “complete” to reflect the change like what I did to my Jona/Dio | Jota/Dio fic), I decided to mark G&G as “hiatus.”

We’re not giving up hope! I honestly just need a kick in my engine and likely that’s what’ll take it out of hiatus status, whether it be another work also reaching 10ish-16ish chapters or there being a reboot of HP that revitalizes me, whichever one comes first.

By the way, if any of you lot want to read my first ever uploaded AO3 fic aka my first ever popular fic it frankly still tickles me pink hearing G&G is how a good portion of my SVSSS readers had already known me from, here’s the general premise:

I love those fics where Sesshomaru is obviously, like…spoiling? Rin, even if the fic isn’t centered around Sesshomaru, sometimes he just shows up and is like “Rin wants this.” and you know that means that Rin is damn well gonna get that

And two of the reasons (out of many) that I like about it is that one) feels really fitting that since Sesshomaru’s kind of,, royalty? not sure how to word it? it just makes me think he’s treating her like she’s the little princess of the western lands

And two) it’s really funny that he’s all like “I refuse to share this title with Inuyasha, who’s only a half demon. Anyways, here is my adopted daughter who is fully human, she outranks all of you.”

A fanfic scenario I will always be soft for is Sesshomaru giving away Rin on her wedding day/dealing with fatherly emotions now that she's all grown up.

Usually I picture her marrying adult Kohaku but that's just my preference.

Like, Sesshomaru already struggles with emotions anyway, but watching him deal with the fact that this little being that he cared for and protected and raised is now grown in the blink of an eye? She's ready to move on to the next stage of her life and his job is complete? 🥺❤Ow, my heart.

- canonically, he has a daughter. So I imagine that if he had kids it would’ve just..happened.

- that’s the case back then anyway because they didn’t have birth control and whatever else.

- when you become pregnant he’s a whole mix of emotions but dw he’ll settle on being happy.

- he’d be the type to be like “kids are sticky and gross.”

- he warms up to the idea when he sees you with kids

- it’s one and done though..he’s extra careful after having a kid. He loves them, but he’s not doing another.💀

- you’d pop out more babies than a Victorian wife if he had the choice.

- he wants like 10.

- you tell him obviously you’re not gonna rip your body open to birth 10 kids.

- you settle on like 4 MAYBE 5.

- he’s so happy and very supportive during all of your pregnancies.

- now, many people may think he’d want only boys, but in reality he’s such a girl dad.

- “oh how scandalous” he gossips while sipping imaginary tea.

Sesshomaru

- uh oh.

- none. Idk how to tell you this.

- he’s like Inuyasha, if he has one, he’ll warm up to it, but he doesn’t really try for one.

- again he’s one and done. Like, he’s not exactly dad material, nobody say rin because he married her..

- I feel like he’d have a boy and he’d be exactly like sesshomaru

Naraku

- NONEEEEE

- he’d baby trap you if you’d try to leave, but only because he wants to manipulate you to stay, not because he wants kids.

-now, if that happened..

- he’d constantly ignore the kid, but maybe he’d warm up?..

- he’d also not have any other kids, he’s successfully manipulated you so why would he?

- you’d have to hold the kid and let them cry as they ask why dad doesn’t want to spend time with them.

- naraku hears this, and, in his own twisted way, yes he “loves” his kid. He just thinks of them more so as a commodity.

- so he takes them on a ‘mission’ and teaches them how to use his puppets and stuff.

- the kids ecstatic, naraku doesn’t have to do much work, it’s a win win.

- that’s all you’re getting though.

Kōga

- he’s a “however many you want” kind of guy.

- he adores his kids though.

- I think you prolly end up with like three. That fits him.

- two boys one girl. The girl being the youngest is how I picture it.

- overprotective girl dad obviously.

- teaches his sons how to hunt properly, dots on his daughter but teaches her how to fight with her brothers for self defense.

- if she ever gets a bf he’s fighting for her, actually.

- he likes when you wear clothes that show off your belly. He likes showing off how he “claimed” you.

- also in a “look at my beautiful, glowing wife” way.

- tells your belly how strong they’ll be.

Jinenji

- I love him.

- he cried and passed out when he found out you were pregnant, he didn’t know he could even have kids.

- now he wants a whole army, but secretly because he never voices his opinion on it. He thinks since you go through the pain, you have the absolute final say and you wouldn’t want that many kids anyway..

- he carries you everywhere. You’re never on your feet.

- his whole hand takes up your entire belly. So when the baby kicks around he’s watching and feeling with tears streaking down his face.

- he’s our lil sensitive king.

- he goes into serious overprotective mode. He’s checking all of the food that you eat, making sure every step doesn’t end up making you trip, making sure you rest up.

- prepares you little salted rose petal baths and just sits there watching you. The love in his eyes makes you melt every time you look over to glance at him.

- his mom goes crazy too. Giving you advice, old wives tales, etc.

- the best overall. Because he is.

Omegas that would have obsessions — Multifandom

Notes: This is inspired by @animeomegas's headcanon of Nara's obsessions, but since I discovered it through @omeganronpa I'm giving them both credit.

Warnings: Contain MAJOR Inuyasha spoilers, might have grammar errors, confusing talk about reincarnation (I don't know what I'm saying either lol)

I had this idea for a while, cause I like the idea of the Nara clan having a sort of "soulmate", so I thought to myself "What other characters that I write for would also have obsessions?". And here are the ones I think would have:

- Inuyasha: 

»» I think he and his entire family (his father and brother) would have it, just like it happens with the Nara clan every heir has an obsession. But in Inuyasha's case, it can be a little confusing.

»» Because if we follow the canon, his obsession would be Kikyo and Kagome, considering they are the same person since Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo from the future. So in the end, they're the same person in different timelines.

»» So we can have three scenarios in this case, first one: Inuyasha's obsession is Alpha from the very start, and he doesn't fall in love with Kikyo.

»» Second scenario is that (Name) is the only reincarnation of Kikyo, and Kagome either doesn't exist or just isn't the reincarnation. The third scenario would be that Kagome and Alpha are twins, and they're both the reincarnation of Kikyo, but Inuyasha only obsesses over one, cause otherwise it could lead to incest and I don't like that.

»» For the majority of the anime's plot to work, I think we would have to go with a mix of the third and second scenario, in which Alpha is Kagome's older sibling (by a few years), and is also Kikyo's reincarnation but either both the siblings have priest's powers or only Kagome has.

- Sesshomaru:

»» Being Inuyasha's brother he has an obsession too, but it is a lot easier to discuss how it would work.

»» I hate that they made Sesshomaru and Rin a couple, he raised her like a daughter through the anime, and in the end (and Hanyō no Yashahime) they turned into a couple. I understand that at their time this conception might not be weird and whatnot, but it is to me, so we will pretend like it didn't happen.

»» Unlike Inuyasha, Sesshomaru would already know this concept from his father. Since Inuyasha never met his dad, I think the obsession would be all news for him and he might get overwhelmed. Which would not happen with Sesshomaru.

»» Like, don't get me wrong, I think he would avoid "activating" his obsession because for him feelings and emotions are unnecessary and he doesn't need or want that. He's also very much anti-social, so it might take a while for him to find his obsession.

»» And for it to work he would have to find them after finding and adopting Rin, because he only became more accepting of people in general after her, principally human. If Alpha is a Yokai things would probably be easier for them, but if they're a human Jaken will make their life harder (and perhaps annoy everybody).

- Tōga:

»» This is also complicated to think about, cause adding a third party to his story would probably mess up the entire anime, considering that he would have to meet his obsession before he dies.

»» So basically we have two scenarios, one which doesn't disturb the canon as much and the other that probably will. Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to not change the story of the anime on this one.

»» So, the first scenario is a little bit long so bear with me. Tōga and Sesshomaru's mom only married for power or political purposes, so both of them knew that there was no love in the relationship (I do believe this is canon, but I haven't seen confirmation). Some years later he meets Izayoi (Inuyasha's mom) and he thinks that he has "activated" his obsession, while Izayoi was pregnant, Tōga was fighting the dragon Ryūkotsusei, and in this battle, he met his actual obsession. Who would have seen and heard the fight and decided to help Tōga defeat the dragon, and also helped on saving Izayoi and Inuyasha.

»» Still in the first scenario, this could end two ways, either both Alpha and Tōga die because of the number of lethal wounds they have, or both end up surviving and escaping with Izayoi and raise Inuyasha together. Just an addon to this, I do believe that both Tōga and Izayoi are omegas, and in my universe, male omegas can impregnate others (that can get pregnant, obviously).

»» The second scenario is a lot shorter, but Alpha is Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's parent, just because I want them both to exist in all scenarios. So if Alpha is either a human or a yokai would probably change the outcome of this, but I do think they would all be a loving family, which is kind of a weird concept considering that Sesshomaru and Inuyasha hate each other in the anime.

- Sebastian:

»» I'm gonna be completely honest, this is heavily influenced by a mod that I installed that makes Seb completely obsessed with the farmer, so this is the only reason why he is here.

»» I don't think this would run in his family, is his thing, but it might also happen to his children, so this genetic obsession might start with him and go for the future generations.

»» From this list, his obsession is the most similar to Shikamaru's, if not more intense, he is a very socially anxious person who only has two actual friends and spends the majority of his days in his room hidden from everyone and everything. He even got a job where he doesn't need to be talking to people or leaving his room.

»» It would be the first time he meets someone and has clear feelings for them, so it would be overwhelming to him and he would not know what to do, but would still try to spend as much time with his obsession as physically possible.

»» Now this would be weird for both Alpha and Seb, considering nobody else in the town has an obsession and he never acted like this towards anybody or thing.

Complete disregards of other's lives/feelings

Put their daughters into dangerous situations (Setsuna got killed once, while Towa went through mind-r@pe. Even when Rin begged Sesshomaru to save Towa, he went elsewhere)

Abuse the weak for their benefits (Sesshomaru is worse because he groomed the little girl whom he watched grow up, even after he left her in a human village)

Abuse their underlings (Stolas to his butlers, Sesshomaru to Jaken)

Pretty boy privilage

Never learn from their mistakes nor acknowledge their faults

Toxic shipper base which harass/doxxes people who dare point out the problem with these characters, even going as far to defend their acts or justify them.

I haven't seen any Inuyasha to have a say over this, but I think I'll just say that it's funny that people are comparing Stolas to an anime character, because Viv herself has stated before that she hates anime.

Now, I do not know if that's because she's a "pick me" girl and actually likes anime in secret, but the fact that Stolitz can be boiled down to toxic yaoi slop that you can find in Wattpad done by minors really says a lot about her and her writing skills... or lack thereof.

And the fact that Emberlynn herself seems to HEAVILY resemble Viv in a way... Yeah, you can see where I am going.

how I'd improve Yashahime:

Moroha is the main character. like how do you fuck that up that badly. YASHAhime. like INUYASHA.

Towa and Setsuna can still exist but they're Rin and Kohaku's kids, and they're a full ten years younger than Moroha. cute lil bebes that Moroha dotes on.

Sesshomaru takes on the proud dad/grandpa role. but he can still be aloof or whatever idk

speaking of, the parents are all good. alive, well, and get along.

the show itself revolves around Moroha going on adventures with Hisui and Shippo, Moroha maybe has a rivalry with Kouga and Ayame's daughter

give me slice of life segments with InuKag and MirSan, give me big sister/mentor figure KinGyo
