inuyasha is like that knuckles comic where when kagome clocks his faggergie egg aura and asks him what his pronouns are he’s like stop cursing at me
#inuyasha#this is in my elaborate iy where kagome is actually closeted trans lesbian girl#and where the feudal era is where she allows herself to “come out’ - where she can eve herself in the 1500s#because none of these people can follow her back to the present where she has to pretend because she’s too afraid of rejection#and sango is a nb lesbian who’s relationship with gender and sexuality#have been massively complicated by her role as eldest and daughter and woman and warrior#where she feels torn between compulsory femininity and sisterhood and womanhood#and her duties as a warrior and eldest#and her truth as a masc lesbian warrior#and miroku is a gay man who’s tasked with continuing the family line and he feels like he’s betraying his father#for being gay so he hyperperforms chauvinistic masculinity because that’s what’s expected and demanded of him#his legacy of young death and the duty to defeat naraku and free his bloodline of this curse#but also being a massive fruit#he hits on sango because he’s gay as a fun straw and he subconsciously clocks her lesbianism#and feels safe hitting on her because he knows she’d never in a million years reciprocate and put him in the horrendous position#of having to fulfill the other half of the ‘lecherous archetype’ and have STRAIGHT SEX#they’re each others beards is what i’m saying#and iy? asexual and agender and identifies as neither because he would be caught dead before giving a shit#about his own gender or orientation. ‘i like what i like and i am what i am! now FIGHT ME!’#you know shippo is genderfluid. look at that thang.#and sesshomaru? the biggest cuntiest most tortured diva bitch QUEEN you have ever seen#imagine being born eldest and having this internal tortured narrative of having to be a king#when dee down you’re a dramatic fruity theater kid and queen of the balls#and then that father going and cheating himself a side baby and making THAT the tessaiga heir#like bitch i pretended to like football for you. i could have been fagging it up this whole time???????#i would be livid. no wonder he hates it#*iy#he’s like. you’re that bitch brother that robbed me of my throne!!!! and iy is like literally who are you#also in my version rin and sesshomaru never hook up because what the literal fuck are you on about#kagura trans woman who knows sesshomaru is a massive peacock pretending to be straight and fooling nobody

its isolating being a lesbian in a 'queer' friend group like its just people talking bout men all the time. there is one girl whose lesbian but the only gay thing she talks about is her pride merch and heartstopper.
No because the way my one "lesbian" friend was obsessed mlm shows like Heartstoppers and Young Royals and later came out as an Achillean trans masc and traded the lesbian flag for the toothpaste one on their bookbag. Like it's fine to live ur truth but I feel like so young people use lesbian as like a transition phase to bisexual or trans and it makes me sad.
Also no tea no shade I love Alice Oseman but Heartstopper is boring AF! If it was straight no one would watch it, let's bffr! Meanwhile shows like First Kill and Warrior Nun can stand on their own with no representation, but get cancelled. It's because everyone only sees male characters as loveable and will obsess over them only, in my experience it's only sapphics who can appreciate well written female characters and not just call them "mother" or "girlboss" while they move on to write the next essay about their white male blorbo. I can't even be mad at authors and showrunners for not creating more complex female characters because it's not what sells!
And don't get me started on how many young gays can only express their identity through "pride merch" aka capitalism. and annoying memes like limp wrist, fruity, zesty. That's not their fault identity capitalism has messed up gen z in general, but it's still isolating.
#also all those things are gay male things I feel like lesbians have none of our own stuff#that's why I want to see bottoms so bad#anon is it just me but I feel like being in a queer friend group without any lesbians is worse than a normie straight one#because ur afraid to complain and invalidate anyone#💜 anon#thanks anon!#anon asks#also I just cant stand hearing them thirst after men they get so graphic about what they would do to old crusty guys like pedro pascal or#cartoon or anime mfers it's disgusting and turning me heterophobic I don't like feeling this way

Do you have thoughts on the Joan De Arc Was Trans theory?
Here are my thoughts:
Her body was inspected by nuns upon her arrival to the Dauphin. This inspection was overseen by his mother who was a very shrewd and vindictive woman. If she’d found a single hair out of place she’d have tossed Jeanne out. Second, Jeanne was left naked in prison with the English. They left her piled clothes that were men’s clothing. This is critical, because in that day and age, it was a crime to “cross-dress” and Jeanne had already been convicted but excused for wearing men’s clothing in battle. Meaning, that she had to either be naked or put men’s clothing back on. She argued that she was forced to don men’s clothing because her guards were trying to sexually assault her. She had to be physically AFAB.
If she was trans masc, I saw no evidence of that. She did not dress masculine at all. Even when wearing male garments, she was actually rather feminine in them and the armor that Charles had made was also very feminine. She saw herself as a nun. She said similar things more than once. Her devotion was to god and king and country. Insofar as I am aware, her gender identity was cis. Her sexuality I cannot say. She could have been a lesbian, or bisexual, or ace. All seem plausible to me. I never saw nor heard her engage in a romantic way with any man, nor even conscience such feelings from men. None of them dared touch her either.
Essentially I do not believe she was trans, but then again, in those days, it could be difficult to discern such things as trans people either lived identically hidden in the gender they identified as and kept to themselves, or they were forced to conform to the gender roles given them.
To me this argument is also rather unfocused. It assumes that war was what? A measure of masculinity? It presumes that men back then only measured masculinity by fighting? That’s not a fair thing to say though I can see why people would argue it. In truth, war was awful and men only puffed themselves up about it so they could justify losing a leg. It was the domain of men by not only the social standards of the day but also religious. They didn’t have a say, and often most of the armies were peopled by farmers who were donated to fighting by their barrons. They had no say. They were forced to abandon families. They lost their lives alone and afraid and in pain. Only nobles had time to care about chivalric codes and idyllic morals. “Men” didn’t care about proving their worth. The harvest was their proof.
It’s also unfair to shift Jeanne’s goals, by presuming she decided to approach the Dauphin with a message from god because she wanted to go to war and therefore be considered masculine. She didn’t even carry a sword. At least not at first. Which means she did not really want to fight or be measured as a warrior. She was there to lead. That’s all she ever said. She wanted to lead the army to victory against the English. Because it’s what god made her to do, as she said more than once.
However...if trans people wish to have Jeanne as their shield and banner...while her religious proclivities might have made it difficult to comprehend, had she been given time and my education, she would have been happy with that leadership, I think. I think she would have understood and taken up the cause of trans rights
“One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying.”
Or so she said.
Anyway, I’m happy to clarify if my words don’t make sense.
