most of our customers are so lovely and kind and understanding and know that we’re a small business and if we fuck something up, we’ll do our best to fix it

and then sometimes you get one lady who tries to report you to the better business bureau for being unwilling to process an exchange request for a skirt that was purchased 8 months ago

#nothin happened like we have a clearly stated 90 day refund/exchange policy #which is already like 3x the norm for clothes #but after the BBB sided with us (not that we have an account w them anyway??) she threatened to report us to the FCC #and also threatened to take us to small claims #some ppl really do have so much energy #maya rambles

AI in higher education needs stricter policy. there i said it. not even a brave statement. i know of at least two people in lecturer roles who are using AI to grade assignments. thats unethical as fuck. all AI policy has been focused on students and how they use it and not a thought has been spared for the lecturers and academics in this world who are giant fucking morons and would use it to grade those students

oh dear god i've gone so deep into a ship again that I'm now having feelings around the emotional significance and symbolism of different clothing colors and anyway Green is for heart-on-his-sleeve Carlos being incredibly vulnerable but still brave enough to follow his (fragile, battered) heart (usually towards TK). Maroon is for when he's secure and confident in his love, sometimes to the point of being mischievous little brat. Grey is for focus and intensity and protectiveness. Brown is for when he's feeling threatened or uncomfortable. Blue is for happiness (light blue is flirty-happy). This is a completely reasonable thing to be spending my evening thinking about.

Bots and automated responses produced by ChatGPT circulate freely on X after Elon Musk dismantled the content moderation team and the verification tools used by journalists and researchers, following his acquisition of the platform in October 2022.

Musk's administration marked 22 months three days before the platform was blocked in Brazil in the early hours of Saturday (31). One of the billionaire’s promises during the acquisition process was to put an end to the bot problem, which, in his view, was plaguing the old Twitter.

Bots that reply to public authorities, seemingly using artificial intelligence (AI), are a clear example of the current crisis. Verified profiles are prioritized by the platform's algorithm and appear at the top of response lists to posts by heads of state.

I'm bored at work so I'm seeing if I should report my old company for violating labor standards.

#totes bro #im so close but it is so obvious it would be me because i used to complain about this all the time #they dont inform their immigrant workers of their rights and so they dont like understand how their timecard works #and thr company advises them to take the least expensive insurance policy because they 'are healthy and don't need it'#but i know one couple wants fertility treatments but couldnt afford it because of that #they dont have the required posters #they also knowingly continue osha violations which i held a meeting over and was told this doesnt apply to us #which uhm it says it does on the Web site so i disagree #all of this is like why i left and what caused me to leave #and literally lying to me and another guy that we would get promotions for the work we did #and then they hired someone else to do the job making our promotions unnecessary and they were like hmmmm sorry #idk they like got a ton worse and i think the president got more reactionary which caused this #not sure how many of these count but thats not for me to decide anyway #oh and cleanliness standards but i actually fixed a lot of those..... fulfilling the role that promotion role that was promised #my coworkers here are like 'absolutely report the hell out of that place' because we do code violations lol #every time i say something they go 'that could be a violation :)'#they paid someone on a salary basis when they were under the salary pay and therefore should have gotten overtime

A U.S. F-16 Fighter is alleged to have crashed during a training exercise in the west of South Korea, Yonhap News Agency reported Monday.

According to the report, a fighter jet belonging to the U.S. Forces, Korea (USFK) crashed Monday morning somewhere near the Kunsan Air Base in Gunsan, about 180km (112mi) south of the South Korean capital, Seoul during a training exercise.

No casualties were reported.
