Firmly believe that TLH would’ve gotten so much better if every Matthew&Cordelia scene was replaced with a Cordelia&Lucie scene
Like okay if they’re gonna be parabatai make me believe that they’re gonna he parabatai!!!
Cordelia should’ve known about raising Jesse and had to grudgingly working with Grace/get to know her so that Grace isn’t just some cold enemy.
Lucie should’ve gone with Cordelia when she becomes palladin
Cordelia running away with Lucie who has just raised Jesse when she thinks that James still loves Grace
Cordelia trusting Lucie enough that Lucie is the one that she runs to when she is heartbroken about James!!
Seeing them fight but also seeing their relationship progress throughout TLH so that they actually feel like,,, ya know parabatai!!!
Meanwhile we could’ve had more matthew and the merry thieves moments instead— and matthew talking with his mother and brother instead of running away!!

Ok but like imagine this: you're best friends with the straightest girl in the world. She makes jokes about you being more fun and amazing than any prince. You make jokes about her naming her firstborn after you. You're destined to lose her. One day your whole world will be gone, all your friends and family, and it will just be you and some stranger who came to rescue you because it was written down. It's all any of you have ever known. You will marry a boy born a century after you. But you see the way she smiles when you guys talk about your future, so you keep it down. It's what your parents expect, what your friends want, what the world is telling you is the right thing to do. You swallow down the apprehension and fear and eventually it becomes so easy it's second nature.
Then something changes. A girl says this isn't how things have to be. Maybe this isn't even how things are supposed to be. And you're angry, because you've been playing this stupid part your whole life and it's as bad as hers, so why can't she just fall in line? Can't she see the pain she's causing everyone (the pain she's causing your best friend)?
You try to make things right. You tell people that the girl is wrong, that things aren't meant to change, that everything is fine. You do everything you can to make your best friend feel better, you push down your own thoughts on the situation because they're not what's important right now. Your opinion has always waited in second, it clearly can now too, right?
Right?
But you can't stop thinking about that day. The sound of the page tearing. At the time it sounded like something horrible, like something disgusting and forbidden and scary. But you keep going back to it. You keep thinking of what would happen if you did the same. If you didn't have to leave your friends behind. If the terrible future you'd resigned yourself to your whole life wasn't as inevitable as it once seemed. The sound of the tearing page begins to sound like freedom.
Your best friend doesn't get it. She thinks you're being selfish and erratic and crazy. You push each other away. Of course she didn't understand. She never thought about things like that. Never thought about you like that.
Things keep changing. More people say they haven't been happy with the way things are. Your other best friend says she's in love with a boy she's not supposed to be in love with, and you start to realise that things are more broken than they seemed.
You go to Wonderland. You made a mistake, a big one, but you're trying to fix it. Things are still awkward between you and your best friend. She still thinks you're wrong. But she accepts that she can't change your mind, and you guys are beginning to admit that, even though things can't go back to how they were, maybe you can still have a future together. Maybe you don't have to lose her after all.

you know what. i say that all chucker is actually chuckboose in disguise but you know what the same is true for tuckington. caboose is there. he needs to be there. why are you writing tucker and wash together without their third. where is he.
#there’s something about the way fandom treats ships as if they’re just ‘ships’ and not ‘two characters in a relationship’ that like.#you see it most prominently in the misogynistic degradation of the female character getting in the way of an m/m ship but#even in contexts outside of that. they just ignore the lives of the characters that aren’t related to the relationship#friendships? don’t matter. past relationships? don’t matter. it’s just about the yaoi.#if you want to write tuckington but don’t like chucker then you. don’t like tuckington i’m sorry.#you like wash/an oc#and i don’t mean that you need to ‘ship’ chucker i mean#church was an incredibly important person in tuckers life whether romantically or platonically#and tuckers feelings about church were an incredibly important element of wash and tuckers relationship#so much tuckington just ignores church and caboose as if they’re both not unbelievably important parts of both tucker and wash’s lives#it ignores wash’s relationship with carolina too but i care less about wash so i have less feelings about the way his character is treated l#junior either gets ignored or used as a prop for fluffy moments#soooo rarely is junior an actual character. he’s just something for tucker to make heart eyes at wash about for being good with him#i don’t know i’ve been enjoying tuckington a lot more lately and i’m figuring out why i was so turned off of it for so long#i feel so bad for people who are huge fans of grif and simmons and their canon relationship#i don’t think i could survive all the fanon grimmons stuff. braver than any unsc marine for real

RR AU where Nowen is canon. They're boyfriends, your honour.
Their alliance with the Sisters is formed through Owen and Kitty's common goal of making their grumpy partners lighten up and enjoy the competition; their conjoined efforts to do so are the groups' main subplot.
Additionally: Kitty, in an effort to help her sister get over her breakup, also tries to set up Emma with multiple other contestants to her chagrin. Owen enthusiastically assists Kitty in her matchmaking, dragging Noah along for the ride.
(Emma and Noah bond over their shared exasperation, and they become an iconic wlw/mlm duo.)
Also, Noah is nicer to Owen. I really don't like his characterisation in RR- especially towards Owen.
Instead of the Reality Tv Pros they're called the Media Darlings.

revstar fans we need to put on the best talent show this towns ever seen and save ReLive!!
#revue starlight#NOT TAKING THE NEWS WELL AT ALL. MY GIRLS THEYRE TAKING MY GIRLS AWAY FROM ME!#like its been a part of my daily routine for like a year and half now... im not gonna know what to do with myself#i really cant stand all the people being like HAHA EAT SHIT AND DIE GACHA GAME#like i will not defend the gacha aspect. i wish it it did not have to be a gacha. i acknowledge gacha games as a concept suck#but like relive wasnt some souless cash grab gacha game#the writers clearly had real passion for what they were doing. they had stories to share with us in the revue starlight universe#and sadly the way things are shitty gacha game was how they were able to make it possible#and truly it had such amazing stories. like. theres no media quite like rev star. a complete cast of female characters#all of them complex and flawed and getting to have big messy feelings!! and fighting eachother with magic swords about those feelings!!#all the different relationships between them love and rivalry and friendships and sisterhoods all complicated and fleshed out#LIKE IT JUST MEANT MUCH TO HAVE THE STEADY STREAM OF COMPELLING STORIES ENTIRY FOCUSED ON GIRLS#and now its going to be gone. i know theres still all the other revstar medoa and hope they keep doing stuff with the francise#i hope we see the frontier and rinmeikan girls again someday. they honestly had the most moments that made my jaw drop#onward to the next stage#right?#anyways do you get it talent show lol cause theyre stage performers

can’t believe TGOTB just altered my brain chemistry for ten eps straight and then HBO canceled them. Do they not understand that my gay little brain neeeeeds my newswomwn on my screen?? I guess all I can do is rewatch the season and write backstory fic a thousand different ways 😔
i fear we are in an era of good shows going too soon 😭😭 the art of shows entering around female friendship is truly lost all we can do is making our silly little edits and silly little fanfics and pray

What Growing Up as a Girl Really Looks Like (And What I Wish Someone Had Told Me)
I was digging through old diaries the other day (dangerous, I know), and found an entry from when I was 12. I’d written: “I wish I was a boy. Everything seems easier for them.”
And honestly? That hit me hard. Because at 20 now, I understand exactly why my 12-year-old self felt that way. But I also understand something she didn’t — that being a girl, despite everything society throws at us, is actually kind of magical.
Growing up as a girl is complicated. It’s learning to walk the impossible tightrope of “be pretty but not too pretty,” “be smart but not too smart,” “be confident but not intimidating.” It’s being told to “sit like a lady” while watching boys sprawl across their chairs without comment.
I remember the first time I realized being a girl meant being careful. I was 13, walking home from school, when a car full of grown men honked at me. I was wearing my school uniform. Let that sink in.
The unwritten rulebooks started filling up from there: Don’t walk alone at night. Hold your keys like a weapon. Check your backseat. Send your location to friends. Text them when you get home. Smile, but not too much. Be nice, but not too friendly. Exist, but not too loudly.
But here’s what growing up as a girl also means:
It’s the unspoken solidarity when another girl hands you a tampon in the bathroom without you even having to ask. It’s code words with your friends to rescue each other from uncomfortable situations. It’s the way we can communicate entire conversations just through eye contact across a room.
Being a girl means having friendships so deep that no rom-com love story could ever compare. It’s late-night talks that heal your soul. It’s friends who will hype you up in Instagram comments and then cry with you through breakups. It’s the kind of love that society tries to convince us only exists in romantic relationships, but we know better.
I’ve learned that being a girl is strength that doesn’t look like what they told us strength should be. It’s getting back up every time the world tries to tell you you’re too much or not enough. It’s finding your voice even when they try to silence it. It’s taking up space even when they try to shrink you.
We learn early that our bodies are somehow both temples and battlegrounds. We’re simultaneously told to love ourselves but also to constantly improve. Buy this cream, try this diet, wear this, but don’t wear that. It’s exhausting.
But we also learn the power of reclaiming ourselves. Of looking in the mirror and deciding that we are enough, exactly as we are. Of understanding that our worth isn’t in our waist size or our relationship status or our ability to please others.
Being a girl means carrying generations of “despite” in our DNA. Despite the fear, we walk tall. Despite the judgment, we speak up. Despite the limitations, we soar. Despite everything, we rise.
To my 12-year-old self who wished she was a boy: I get it. I really do. But what you didn’t know then is that being a girl isn’t the weakness they tried to convince us it was. It’s a superpower.
Being a girl means being part of the most resilient, supportive, powerful tribe there is. It’s sharing lip gloss and secrets and strength. It’s building each other up when the world tries to tear us down. It’s turning “despite” into “because.”
Because we are girls, we are strong.
Because we are girls, we are resilient.
Because we are girls, we are powerful.
So yes, sometimes being a girl means being careful. Being afraid. Being judged. But it also means being fierce, being loving, being unstoppable.
And honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way.

i finished watching the uglies adaptation and it was mid...... except casting for shay was so good and i appreciate the racial diversity in casting. Idk I feel like adaptations should only exist if they have a vision for interpreting the source material but i am so so biased bc i wanted a sapphic interpretation of tally and shay
