remember that campaign A did for neiman marcus? she looked so good in it and colman domingo was in it too. i thought it was fab but it was so strange she didn't promote it much and not much was done with it. do you think it was on purpose? i just think it was weird that $$$ was obviously spent to produce it but no one did much to push it.

I think it’s all up to the company determining how much that specific ad campaign needed to run for… but yeah i think its weird too 🤷🏾‍♀️

What’s your overall review of Anora?

The movie definitely needed time to sit and marinate with me. I don’t think I could’ve given this review immediately after watching. Mikey’s performance was obviously very good, i liked that inbetween ani’s loud abrasive exterior and sexy confidence, that she had these quiet moments of uncertainty, exhaustion and confusion that gave me a peak behind the curtain into her real character and how she really feels about this situations she goes through. the plot is a whirlwind of sex, stripping, drugs and partying until it comes to a screeching halt and the second act is something akin to a screwball comedy and then ultimately a intense tragedy/tragicomedy. The movie is not going to be everyone’s cup of tea but i did find it really funny at the appropriate times and also found it sad at other times too.
