I'm currently having a minute to calm down after receiving verbal abuse from a customer because she made a mistake by not reading the tickets and I told her that. But just thinking about what a lovely evening I had last night drinking amaretto in the bath and snuggling with Maggie. We're going camping at the coast tonight and tomorrow and tbh I feel gross and tired and grumpy and want nothing more than my actual bed, buut I'm sure we'll have a lovely time and I'll feel much better for having gone somewhere new especially at the coast as I don't get to go to the beach as often as I'd like. An hour and a half left at work and then Matt is picking me up. Can't come quick enough 😭😭😭

finally catching up with some preshows i haven’t been keeping up with them there’s just so much going on but they’re so FUNNN ig we don’t need to have a discussion on like. every single little thing they bring up but I love hearing the little bits like what snacks they’re having in America and remembering that they actually play Mario kart on the tour bus and do fun little activities in between and I can’t remember if they’ve told us about this before but the image of like early 20s Dan being genuinely peeved at the bbc asking them to make a music video that they just made some fuckass thing in their pjs is so funny to me

I do kind of want to briefly ramble about Akechi’s rank 4 scene though because it kind of pleasantly surprised me?

So Akechi takes Joker to the jazz bar, which is his place to get away from it all, kind of his safe spot. His best options are when you give responses that show excitement and enthusiasm about the place, which is… aw.

Then the conversation segues into Akechi asking if Joker has a place like that, where he feels at ease, and all of the responses obviously reference Leblanc. First of all, that’s really sweet to have a kind of confirmation of that - Joker and Sojiro had a rocky start to their dynamic, but now he’s feeling like it’s a safe spot for him, and with Morgana there too, and the Thieves having come to visit a few times, maybe even more of a home than the one he left (though perhaps that’s pushing it?).

Secondly though, alarm bells were going through my head, because nowhere in all of this business does it seem a good idea to tell the detective investigating me where I live and am now operating my heists from. (Even though he probably could find that out easily… but still.)

So I picked the vaguest option, to be on the safe side, but little did I know that it doesn’t matter.

Because Joker tells Akechi about Leblanc anyways. Completely without player input. And at first I was a bit taken aback, but then it made a lot of sense.

For one thing, it confirms that Akechi is being genuine about this being his place to feel at ease. Not that I doubted that, but Akechi often says one thing and means multiple; he’s quite good at controlling the flow and direction of a conversation to get the info he wants. But that’s not the vibe I got here at all. He’s just… sharing it. Wants Joker to enjoy it the way he does. It’s actually a fair amount of openness, especially in that he’s never shared that place with anyone else before. And so Joker returns that openness with an honest answer and his own place of comfort - prioritizing returning Akechi’s honesty with his own instead of potential repercussions. Wild. I love it. And it tracks from their previous interactions.

Akechi downplays his skills by using his non-dominant hand, which Joker notices. Joker returns that (whether intentionally or inadvertently, I can’t actually say) when he puts his glasses on Akechi - the fake glasses that he wears, ostensibly, so as not to draw attention to himself. There’s a sense of honesty for honesty here, openness for openness, particularly from Joker. It’s just interesting.

People calling the wicked book traumatic, horrific or "straight up porn" is making me very upset because its none of those things. Since when is a political plotline traumatic.

And of course the book is not appropriate for children and theres heavy topics included in it that would make people uncomfortable. But telling everyone that its horrific and traumatizing is not the right direction????? Its fine to have boundaries and recognize that something isnt right for you but also lets not scare everyone. This is the type of behavior that leads to banning books. The fear of art is making me scared for the future. Its 2025 and i see more and more people being against any type of art thats challenging in any way. Smells like fascism which is already returning, even without this artistic narrative.

The least we can do is not making people fucking SCARED of books. Can we not let media literacy die completely. Can we engage with things that are out of our comfort zone or at the very fucking least not propagate fear.

this isn't directed at anyone here on tumblr, but holy MOLY the amount of entitled Taemin fans I am seeing on other websites is insane. like, I'm sorry you couldn't get a vip package, but it's not because his agency is screwing things up, it's because Taemin is extremely popular and a lot of people want to see him.

It's been over a week and there's still people going on about how it's bullshit that they couldn't get tickets--and not in a "i'm disappointed" way, but in an actual "I am very angry about this" kind of way.

Idk what to tell you, but this is how these things go, sometimes. a lot of people wanted those tickets, and there were only so many of them available. you're not entitled to tickets just because you like Taemin, jfc.
