wait because seriously being an adult therian fucking rips, especially when you start being independent.
dog with a blog? nah. dog with a JOB. i come into work with my tail and my theta delta necklace and the building implodes from my sheer swag. weirdo teenagers love me. also having your own paycheck means you can get whatever gear/treats you want (once bills are paid, of course - bet youve never heard a dog say that!)
living in your own apartment? well the pet limit is 2 but if i include myself im going over the limit. whoops! good thing i love lying to landlords (fuck landlords). living alone (no roomie) is even better bc theres no one to judge you for your animal habits. i can make a huge den in the living room and who is going to stop me?
i even have my own health insurance. bro. imagine being a dog with medicaid. im climbing the walls and howling and barking. i love being a dog filling out government paperwork.
having your own vehicle? THIS DOG CAN DRIVE! if i feel like going to the lake i can just go to the lake! nobody is stopping me! midnight ride with the windows down to howl at the moon? yes please!!
you can literally just go wherever bro. i moved 11 hours from my hometown to the mountains to feel more at home. i lived in the great plains and now i can just go out for a hike in the rockies and howl at the sky.
being an adult therian slaps so fucking hard i cant wait for the youth to grow up and experience the joy of freedom. yes being an adult is incredibly stressful but if youve been stifled living with family, you get a real chance to develop who you truly are. adult therians i love you im rubbing against your neck and mixing our scents. mwah.

Domestic skk where Chuuya gets home after a long day at work, only to find the apartment empty, with no Dazai in sight.
The lights are off, not a sound to be heard, but Chuuya can feel Dazai’s presence— some kind of sixth sense they’ve both been cursed with since they were 15.
Chuuya slowly removes his coat & shoes, letting his eyes rove over the empty kitchen & living room, till his eyes finally catch the top of a familiar head of mussed, brown waves.
Tension he didn’t realize he was holding releases at the sight, & Chuuya takes a deep breath before padding around the couch. It would do no good for his own stress to add to Dazai’s, if tonight was indeed one of those nights.
As Chuuya rounds the sofa, he finds pretty much what he expected. Dazai is curled up against the armrest, looking small despite his gangly limbs.
What Chuuya hadn’t expected was for Dazai to be fast asleep— soft breaths puffing against the expensive fabric of the armrest.
Chuuya blinks in disbelief, but can’t help the fond smile that steals across his face. Dazai always has such a hard time sleeping, so finding him like
this was a welcome surprise. Especially compared to the more somber situation that Chuuya was worried he’d be faced with.
Chuuya removes his hat & gloves, laying them aside as he crouches in front of the couch. He shamelessly studies his partner while he can’t be teased for it.
Dazai looks peaceful— cheeks rosy with sleep, & unfairly-long lashes dusting his faint spattering of freckles.
Those freckles felt like Chuuya’s little secret, because the only way to know they existed was if one got close enough to see.
And it was no secret that Dazai didn’t let people get that close.
Chuuya finds himself brushing a finger over those freckles, following the perfect slope of Dazai’s nose, tracing his high cheekbones down to the contour of his smooth jawline.
Chuuya pinches Dazai’s chin between his thumb & forefinger, tilting it at just the right angle to press a gentle kiss to Dazai’s forehead. He bites his lip to hold back a laugh at the way Dazai’s nose scrunches at the disturbance, but he really doesn’t want to wake the brunet. He obviously needs the sleep if he fell asleep here, still in his work clothes.
Why is Dazai out here? If he knew he was this tired, why not at least lie in bed?
Chuuya absently brushes Dazai’s bangs away from his eyes as he leans into the touch, releasing a contented sigh.
Oh. Chuuya’s eyes widen. He was waiting up for me.
Or, trying to, at least.
This time Chuuya doesn’t stop the warm chuckle from slipping past his lips. He presses another soft kiss to Dazai’s temple, then carefully scoops him into a princess hold. He carries his sleeping partner to their room, smiling as Dazai nuzzles his face into Chuuya’s neck.
His partner really is such a cat.
Chuuya sets Dazai down on the bed, careful not to wake him, & draws the blankets up under his chin, just the way Dazai likes it. He doesn’t bother getting him into comfier clothes— obviously, he was comfortable enough to fall asleep as he was.
Chuuya does change his own clothes, though, & brushes his teeth before turning off the light & slipping into bed next to Dazai.
He turns to wrap himself around Dazai from behind, but before he can, he finds himself with a face full of mackerel.
Soft hair tickles Chuuya’s chin as Dazai snuggles into him again always seeking out the nearest heatsource.
“I thought you were asleep, you malingerer,” Chuuya scolds quietly.
“Shh, I am asleep,” Dazai whispers, nose digging into Chuuya’s breastbone as he tries to burrow into his partner’s chest.
Chuuya rolls his eyes, but he can hear the grogginess in Dazai’s voice that tells him he wasn’t faking it. He doesn’t fight the urge to bring a hand up to card through Dazai’s fluffy waves.
Dazai doesn’t grant him a response other than to press himself even closer to Chuuya, so that they’re practically melded together. Chuuya smiles, pressing one more, languid kiss to the crown of Dazai’s head— pausing to breathe him in— before closing his eyes & letting sleep overtake them both.

My parents decided to just roam for the month of December. Who knows why. They said they didn’t want to do holiday stuff until the new year. Found out later they’d had thanksgiving with my nana. Honestly it woulda been fine if they’d just said they didn’t want the kids over? But instead mom decided lying that they weren’t doing it at all was easier.
My transphobic sister is having a baby so they decided to drive down to her state to see her, after telling me they’d come to my choir concert. And again. That’s fine, I get that the baby is a bigger deal.
But mom asked me to look after her chickens while they’re gone. I dragged myself over aching in every bone from overexertion yesterday, including the concert. When I called concerned about one of her hens dragging a lame foot around she told me that’s just how that chickens always been and not to worry about it. Didn’t ask me how the concert had been.
When my betrothed got home I was deep in sadness pits. I told them, “I feel like that chicken. Hobbling around receiving inferior care and attention from my mom.”
They baked cookies and we cuddled about it.

okay so if Cavetown ever asked me to write a verse for Devil Town I would be ready to go
Lyrics:
The lights are out in devil town
That’s fine, no one’s there to switch them now
You’re the star up in my sky
And I’m the sailor, you’re my guiding light
Devil Town is warmer in the wintertime,
The snow will melt as we say our goodbyes
Hold my hand tight,
You’ll be with me another night
I get scared when they leave out of the blue,
But I feel a little safer staying with you
Falling doesn’t feel so bad when I know you’re falling this way too

The Sound of Rain - Junichiro x reader
On a rainy afternoon, a chance encounter at a quiet café leads Jinichiro and Y/N to finally confront the feelings they've been hiding, opening the door to something deeper and more meaningful.
Requests are OPEN!

The rain drummed a steady rhythm against the windows of the quiet café, creating a soothing symphony that mirrored the stillness of the afternoon. Jinichiro sat by the window, his sharp eyes tracing the patterns the droplets made as they trickled down the glass. He was lost in thought, his mind a storm of emotions that he couldn't quite sort through. Across the table from him, Y/N sat quietly, her hands wrapped around a warm mug of coffee, the rising steam blurring the edges of her face in the dim light.
Their meeting today had been unplanned—a mere coincidence that seemed too perfect to be random. Jinichiro wasn't one to believe in fate, but as he glanced at Y/N, who was gazing out at the rain with a distant look in her eyes, he couldn't help but wonder if the universe was trying to tell him something.
He shifted in his seat, the leather creaking under his weight. The air between them was thick with unspoken words, a tension that had been building for weeks, maybe months. Y/N had been his anchor in the stormy seas of his life, a constant presence that kept him grounded. Yet, there was something more between them, something that both of them had been dancing around but never quite confronting.
“Your coffee’s getting cold,” Y/N said softly, her voice cutting through the silence like a gentle breeze. There was a note of concern in her tone, one that made his chest tighten.
Jinichiro glanced down at the cup in his hands, the dark liquid inside reflecting the muted light of the overcast sky. He hadn’t even realized he was holding it. With a slight nod, he brought it to his lips, the bitter taste grounding him in the present moment. But the taste was secondary; what he really noticed was the way her voice lingered in the air, wrapping around him like a warm blanket.
“You’ve been quiet today,” Y/N continued, her eyes searching his face for answers. “More than usual.”
He met her gaze, and for a moment, he considered deflecting her question with a sarcastic remark or a casual observation about the weather. It was his usual defense mechanism, a way to keep people at arm’s length. But with Y/N, it felt different. She had a way of seeing through his walls, of understanding the person he was underneath all the layers of detachment. And today, he found himself wanting to let her in.
“I’ve just been… thinking,” he said, his voice low, almost hesitant. It wasn’t like him to be this open, to expose the vulnerable parts of himself. But sitting here with her, with the rain as their only witness, he felt a strange kind of courage.
“About?” she prompted, her tone gentle but insistent. She leaned forward slightly, her fingers still wrapped around her mug, the warmth seeping into her skin. There was something so captivating about the way she held herself, a quiet strength that drew him in like a moth to a flame.
Jinichiro took a deep breath, the weight of his thoughts pressing heavily on his chest. “About us.”
The words hung between them, heavy with unspoken emotions and the possibility of change. He could see the way her expression shifted, the way her eyes widened ever so slightly as she processed what he had said. For a moment, neither of them spoke, the only sound in the room being the rain pattering against the window.
“Us?” she echoed, her voice barely above a whisper, as if saying it too loudly might shatter the fragile moment they were sharing.
He nodded, setting his cup down on the table and running a hand through his dark hair, still damp from the rain outside. “I’ve been thinking about what we are… what we could be,” he admitted, the words feeling both foreign and liberating as they left his lips. His heart pounded in his chest, a reminder of the vulnerability he was exposing, but he didn’t pull back. Not this time.
Y/N’s gaze softened, and a small, almost shy smile curved her lips. It was a smile that sent warmth flooding through his veins, chasing away the lingering chill from the rain. “I’ve been thinking about that too,” she said, her voice filled with a mix of relief and something else—something that made his pulse quicken.
A silence settled over them again, but this time, it was different. It was a comfortable silence, one filled with understanding and the unspoken acknowledgment of the feelings they had both been hiding. Jinichiro let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding, the tension in his shoulders easing as he allowed himself to relax.
“And?” he asked, his tone soft but eager, as if her answer held the key to something he had been searching for.
Y/N took a moment to respond, her eyes never leaving his. When she finally spoke, her words were laced with a sincerity that took his breath away. “And… I think there’s something here worth exploring,” she said, her fingers unconsciously tracing the rim of her mug. “But only if you’re ready.”
Jinichiro’s heart skipped a beat, a rare smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He wasn’t one to smile often, but with Y/N, everything felt different. Lighter. “I think I’ve been ready for a while now,” he confessed, reaching across the table to take her hand in his. Her skin was warm, a comforting contrast to the cool air of the café, and the simple touch sent a jolt of electricity through him.
Y/N’s fingers curled around his, and for a moment, they just sat there, their hands intertwined on the small table between them. The rain continued to fall outside, a steady backdrop to the moment they were sharing. It felt like the world had shrunk down to just the two of them, the bustling city outside the café nothing more than a distant memory.
As they sat there, Jinichiro found himself thinking about all the times he had held back, all the moments he had let slip by out of fear or uncertainty. But now, with Y/N’s hand in his and the warmth of her presence wrapping around him, he felt a sense of clarity. He didn’t want to let this moment slip away. He didn’t want to let her slip away.
“I want to explore this with you,” he said, his voice firm with conviction. “Whatever this is, whatever it becomes, I want to do it with you.”
Y/N’s smile widened, her eyes shining with emotion. “I want that too,” she said softly, her grip on his hand tightening slightly, as if she were anchoring herself to him. “I’ve wanted that for a long time.”
The admission sent a wave of relief and joy crashing over him, and for the first time in a long time, Jinichiro felt like everything was exactly as it should be. They had danced around their feelings for so long, but now, sitting in this small café with the rain pouring down around them, they had finally taken that first step into the unknown.
When they eventually left the café, the rain had eased into a gentle drizzle, the clouds parting just enough to let a sliver of sunlight break through. Jinichiro slipped his hand into Y/N’s as they stepped out onto the wet streets, the future stretching out before them like the endless sky.
For once, Jinichiro wasn’t afraid of what lay ahead. With Y/N by his side, he felt ready to face whatever came their way. And as they walked together, the sound of rain fading into the distance, he couldn’t help but feel that this was the beginning of something beautiful.
