Alastor's famed jambalaya recipe: REVEALED!

Ingredients:

The creole of celery, onions, and bell peppers

"Special sausage", red-braised with sugar

Crushed tomatoes - include more towards the end for a tart touch

Fish-based broth

Long-grain rice

Shrimp

Salt, pepper, sage, parsley, a Central-American hot pepper like Guajillo or Mirasol, coriander, a splash of vinegar

Fry in Crisco for that authentic Great Depression taste, and serve with sweet tea or bourbon!

Hazbin Hotel's Unofficial Cookbook .... Husk's Chapter!

we haven't gotten show!canon info on Husk's background. previously, we were told that Husk knew several languages, including Russian, German, Mandarin Chinese, and Japanese. so i headcanonned Husk as being very worldly. he picked up various foods, drinks, and recipes from traveling the world.

Kissel is a Russian berry drink, sometimes made into cocktails.

Kumis is a traditional alcohol fermented from horse/donkey milk, known (but called differently) throughout Asia and East Europe.

Black Sugar is a traditional East Asian ingredient, and is the telltale syrup used in OG boba drinks. the recipe calls for an old fashioned Chinese pickling jar, where the cap has a divot that has you make an airtight seal by pouring water into the brim.

Loaches are pond fish that are eaten all over Asia, especially Japan and Korea.

Amazake is Japanese, and although it's fermented rice, it has only trace amounts of alcohol content, making it safe for all ages.

an AMAZING turnout for the local pride festival!! even though my little artist table was pitiful compared to everyone else, i managed to earn a profit of over $100!!

most valuable was some advice i got from a fellow artist. they were a full-time vendor, and selling their creations at events was their main source of income. their advice? you'd be surprised how many people are looking for art/clothes/knickknacks to buy, even in crowds you don't expect - like farmer's markets. what matters most (at least in this city) is a large crowd, not necessarily a specific crowd.

i don't have nearly enough capital to continue my soaps, bath bombs, enamel pins, or other merch i used to produce. but here's hoping that i can get that ball rolling eventually!

a video game concept i had: you scavenge for food in an empty, post-apocalyptic world, and return to divvy up the limited rations amongst fellow struggling survivors.

one half of the game is a Walking Simulator™ in a never-ending twilight. the other half is one of those mobile-esque Cooking Craze/Fever/Madness app games, but with minute ingredient control and stat, resource, and inventory management.

Silent Supper (20XX) Sometimes, people find themselves trapped in a mirrored world, where night never ends, and must spend a melancholy seven years living in limbo before returning to immediate reality with no memory of the experience. You're the food porter of your little community, traveling far and wide for scraps, then returning in the hopes that you've found enough to keep everyone fed and healthy. One day, everyone will make it Back, but they need to stay alive until then.
