So for reasons that don't need exploring at this particular juncture (OK, fine, which had to do with an argument about Cookie Monster and Tom Waits, which I won because Cookie Monster is the OG), I was reading Cookie Monster's wikipedia page and found out that not only was Cookie Monster interviewed by NPR and asked to do the Proust Quiz, but he was interviewed by Colbert, to whom he confessed, lol, that he had "crazy times during the '70s and '80s", referring to himself as "the Robert Downey Jr. of cookies."
