good-ending!kakashi and itachi need to have a little former traumatized geniuses cooking club where they get comfortable with making little "mistakes" and putting imperfect dishes on the table and improvising without needing to explain themselves like it's life or death
#the “former” is aspirational and v cute#probably sai and tenzo also join at some point#of course gai joins in occasionally because he's not to be outdone by his rival with cooking of all things#and also with these four it can get depressing quick#iruka is invited once as a courtesy when he shows up to work with one too many kitchen injuries lol#if there's one thing they're not the cooking club is not clumsy#... unfortunately he is quietly assigned a buddy any future attendances#usually itachi because itachi can put out fires very quickly#or sai because sai is (frustratingly) talented in the kitchen and doesn't feel he's missing out on practice#neji might also participate sometimes! he wasn't ever anbu but he probably needs the therapy-ness of it#he's not a huge group activities person but sai invites him and he's surprised by how low-key it is#he gets a little competitive with itachi lol#since itachi doesn't care about things like using all whole-grains or only organics or attempting to make a recipe vegan#he's very good at following directions don't get me wrong but he's not much of an experimenter unless he knows a dish super well#while neji just knows which replacements to use after doing it for so long#neji isn't super militant about it but he watches his diet to make sure it isn't imbalanced/overly protein heavy#and like itachi he doesn't care for strong tasting meat so he'll preferentially choose fish or plant proteins#this is what finally makes things more easy between the two of them! some of the others want to make a meat-heavy dish one time#but itachi isn't feeling it and neji shows him how to do a tofu alternative!#long tags#naruto#from the margins#hatake kakashi#uchiha itachi#hyuga neji#sai#yamato tenzo#umino iruka#omegaverse

hoof i genuinely ask of you. about your rumination hc again for bovine fellas. how does it work (i am so sorry if this is an annoying question)
[Hoofology] satyrs have the same four-chambered stomach system that irl ruminants have, so the rumen would probably work the same general way

veganism being willfully misconstrued as promoting or encouraging disordered or restrictive eating is so dishonest. tell me what’s limiting about POTATOES, potato chips, french fries, breads, tortillas and flatbreads, pretzels, crackers, oats, pasta, all rice, all beans, bananas, berries, avocados, peanut butter, lentils, OREOS, tofu, peas, coconut, nuts, quinoa, all forms of soy, every seed imaginable, every vegetable, every fruit, every grain… it’s endless. and all that you can make with these, to boot.
truly some of the most nutritious and/or flat out calorie-dense foods there even are. and that’s not even counting specialty foods, “substitutes,” and recipes that mimic traditional junk and comfort food. you cannot be serious.

What is the deal with (a certain flavor of) rich people and adherence to pseudo-science medical / dietary beliefs?
These two things correlate in disturbing ways. Furthermore, it isn’t just (a certain flavor of) rich people with some university random but rich people with PhDs in biology (???!) and MDs who are practicing medicine as doctors.

Fiesta Lettuce Wraps and Pepper Boats
Tumblr media
Ingredients
6 sweet, mini bell peppers
8 lettuce leaves
1 cup instant brown rice (dry)
1 pound tilapia filets, fresh or frozen (thawed)
2 teaspoons Southwest chipotle seasoning (no sodium)
2 tablespoons canola oil (divided)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 limes (divided)
1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
For the Salsa Fresca:
1/2 cup yellow corn (frozen or canned, no-salt added)
1 medium tomato
1 small onion
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 jalapeno pepper (minced)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions
Slice peppers in half vertically. Arrange lettuce and 8 pepper halves on a serving platter.
Cook brown rice according to package directions.
To make salsa fresca, dice remaining pepper halves, tomato, and onion; mix with corn, garlic, and jalapeño pepper, and ¼ tsp salt.
Sprinkle both sides of tilapia filets with Southwest chipotle seasoning.
Heat 1½ tbsp canola oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add fish to pan, and cook for 3 minutes on each side (cook fish until it is opaque, 145 ºF). Flake with a fork and place in a serving dish.
When rice is done, stir in remaining ½ tbsp oil, juice from one lime, and ¼ tsp salt. Cut remaining lime into wedges.
To serve, set out pepper-lettuce platter, rice, fish, salsa fresca, sour cream, and lime, and let diners build their own boats and wraps
Mention: this recipe is very healthy because contain high protein and low carb and fat.

Went shopping out of town with my daddy today. Even though the taxes are higher there, I love the variety. Calafia if my favorite brand for non-dairy creamer, and I love Lesser Evil as well as Skinny Pop for popcorn. I loooove this flavor of Lesser Evil—it tastes just like buttered popcorn without the dairy. I’ve been working out so my dad bought me some protein powder from Garden of Life. It doesn’t have any erythritol, which is a bonus 💕
