Im thinking about The Call again. Ezra could hear the Purrgil out in Deep Space, where sound doesn’t carry. It was his first instinct to follow them. The oldest of them watched him, and connected with him. A Purrgil fell beside him, and Ezra was closer to it than to his family.
The Purrgil circled below the asteroid Ezra and the Ghost would land on, just as the wolves circled the door into the past and future. Hyperspace eyes from the Purrgil, hyperspace eyes from the wolves. He saw the Loth-cat and Loth-wolves in his dreams. They showed him the way. He spoke freedom to the planet; the Purrgil came.
They renew themselves below the gas. They saved his life beneath the gas. He led them to take the refinery. They took him from Lothal.
The Jedi said the Force had a destiny for everyone, but they had to choose to follow it. Ezra answered the call. He followed the Purrgil.

"You think you can take whatever you want. Things you didn’t make, didn’t earn, things you don’t understand." The story of an indigenous boy fighting against a colonizer to get his home back. A teenager telling the man who is destroying his world that because it is so much more complex and important than what he sees, he will never get to have it.
Ezra's story is about connection, with all living beings: loth cats and wolves, purrgils, people, etc. And it ends with nature reclaiming what has always been its from the machine that is the Empire. It ends with the people getting their home back from the people who occupied it
And here's the thing: Ezra doesn't know a galaxy without the influence of the Empire. The history of the Old Republic, the tales of the Jedi, they're all fairytales to him. Yet he still fights for it; he fights for something he hasn't yet seen, fights for what's right, for his people and his family. He fights for freedom even if he doesn't know what it feels like
And it's this determination, this endless hope, that drives others to do the same as him. He, with only his words, is able to make things different. It challenges the whole "I'm just one person, I won't change anything" belief. Because Ezra is just one person, and one person can't do much on their own; the war is lost if it's only you fighting it
But Ezra frees Lothal. Ezra banishes Thrawn. Ezra inspires others to fight back. Ezra's sacrifice was not meaningless, and it will always be remembered. He will always be remembered

Kind of messed up and unfair that I'll never be able to live on Lothal and have three Loth-cats and a speeder bike that's custom painted by a certain stunning local artist😕

I also generally disagree with the idea some people seem to have that All Star Wars Should Be Like Andor Now cause like. I do like that Andor was different from the more traditional Star Wars feel cause that shows how varied this franchise can be. You can fit many types of stories with different tones into the Star Wars universe and that’s a big part of what makes it so great. So when people are like “every Star Wars thing should be like Andor” I just hear “they should take away the variety and make everything the same now” which would make the universe way less interesting. What works for one series doesn’t necessarily work for another, even if they’re part of the same franchise.

If the Ahsoka series was any good we would’ve had a story about Sabine, Zeb, and Ahsoka (+ some others) slowly unpacking the relationship between the Purrgil, Mortis, the Loth-wolves, and Lothal, and the season would’ve ended with them at last going into deep space after Ezra as Sabine says “follow the Purrgil”. But we can’t have nice things now can we.

The Dragon Prince x Rebels AU
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm excited to announce I officially finished drawing the designs for the Spectres in The Dragon Prince universe! I already talked about it in this post, but made a few changes. Their elf race is based mostly off of their personalities, not appearance so:
Hera- Skywing Elf (she loves flying and as a pilot, she needed to have wings, so she's in this small percentage of Skywing Elves who are born with them)
Kanan- Startouched Elf (both he and Erza fit with this, because Startouched Elves are the most myselterious and powerful race
Ezra- Startouched Elf (^)
Sabine- Sunfire Elf (I mostly went with the fact that I can give her a bow and she could shoot flaming arrows at her enemies- you know, like bombs. Also Mandaloria s kinda remind me of Sunfire Elves in general)
Zeb- Earthblood Elf (that should be obvious- he's big, he's strong and I don't know if that's because of all the headcanons about Lasats being very close to nature, he fits with Earthblood Elves the most)
Kallus- Moonshadow Elf (perfect for an assassin spy, who would join up with the Spectres later on- and also by the light of Lothal's Moons- COME ON, IT'S PERFECT)
Also I'm so so so excited for their marks to match with their Rebels designs- Hera's lekku markings, Kanan's Jaig eyes, Sabine's helmet designs, Zeb's stripes and Kallus' freckles- the only problem was Ezra, I had to get a little more creative

Asdfghjkl after that barrisoka wedding post I had an idea
So the l4j will probably all have to retire at some point (well mainly Cal and Ahsoka since 1. They're old and 2. They're relatively the most traumatised) what planets do you think they will move to so they can spend their days in peace with their respective partners / army of pets in the case of Ezra?
omg GREAT question!!
Ahsoka: idk if there's a SPECIFIC place she'd go, rlly just anywhere peaceful and nature-y. maybe she returns to the village she was born/ somewhere else on Shili (w barriss of course)
Cal: Koboh or Tanalorr (: vibing thriving (not just surviving!) w Merrin
Ezra: Lothal of course!!! can become Lothal City's infamous crazy cat man (who everyone then goes through 200 stages of shock upon finding out he actually liberated the planet)
Luke: I feel like he sticks around the temple FOREVER. that being said his husband is literally Mand'alor so like... bro could retire to a literal palace LOL

So @twinsunstars and I were talking about this yesterday, and our girl Omega would do numbers on the galaxy’s social media platforms, so here’s a few headcanons on how that scenario would play out:
She has the equivalent of a tumblr blog making daily shitposts roasting the Empire into oblivion
She has a twitter account where she blasts them and advertises for the Rebellion with well crafted arguments
Said twitter account also frequently posts memes to further roast the Empire
Her TikTok is her in a clone trooper helmet (anonymity to keep her brothers safe, she wants the Empire thinking they’re all dead) defending clones and talking more about why the Empire sucks
And last but not least (this isn’t quite social media, but it lives in my head rent free): Omega has a radio show a la Potterwatch in The Deathly Hallows called What the Empire Doesn’t Tell You with Havoc 5 (working title, let me know if you think of something better). It’s a sort of news outlet on a secure comm channel with a changing password or whatever. She brings in guest speakers all the time and it’s just talking about the unseen atrocities and what the Rebellion is doing to fight back and inspire hope. (The rebels on Lothal come up a lot.) Lots of clones come on the show with her, even Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair make the occasional appearance, and talk about their experiences. Hera is a frequent guest. Mon Mothma even went on the show once. The list goes on.
BONUS: The Empire has a whole ass tech division for the sole purpose of shutting down this mysterious ‘Havoc 5’. It’s honestly comedic how big this division gets because they keep failing lol. They can’t delete her accounts, they can’t track down the source of the activity, they can’t get on the radio show’s comm channel, etc. Why? Because Omega is a fucking menace who out smarts them at every turn seeing as Tech taught her everything he knew.
Feel free to add on to this!

SABEZRA WEEK ENTRY: In Between
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I FINALLY UNDERSTOOD PROMPTS--hang on, is there supposed to be a palette for this one. I cannot find the original post.
Anyway, for the In Between Prompt, I decided to not do it literally. What I think these two were doing during those years in between the Rebels finale and the start of Ahsoka is still connecting with one another in any way they can (big or small, subtle or obvious); for Sabine: by living in Ezra's tower in Lothal and looking over his things, and for Ezra: painting those Phoenix logos on the Noti's necklaces.
And I interpret all that as Sabine and Ezra drawing their own star map to one another.
Also, I will join just one prompt for @sabezraweek (bec unfortunately it's all the time I have) and I specifically joined this one prompt because October 23rd is my birthday!! <3
I also made Ezra look more Space Jesus than he already does because I can.

The Path to Peridea.
Baylan Skoll says that Peridea is from a fairy tale known to Jedi younglings, a children’s story, but in reality Baylan says this to remind us that Star Wars is exactly just that, a fairy tale, a children’s story.
What does “Peridea” mean?
peri: (in Persian mythology) a mythical superhuman being, originally represented as evil but subsequently as a good or graceful genie or fairy.
ASTRONOMY
peri: denoting the point nearest to a specified celestial body.
from Greek peri ‘about, around’.
dea: Latin for “goddess”
The descent into the underworld is one stage of the hero’s and the heroine’s journey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As @better-call-mau1 pointed out, the Path to Peridea sounds a lot like the “path to perdition.”
perdition: (in Christian theology) a state of eternal punishment and damnation into which a sinful and unpenitent person passes after death.
Perhaps this is where Thrawn is, in a kind of hell.
But as in the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, a brave lover is willing to descend into Hades to rescue the beloved. This is Sabine Wren’s mission to find Ezra Bridger.
There’s another meaning to “Peridea” though.
It is a genus of moths from the family Notodontidae.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The moth in The Lord of the Rings films brought Gandalf the Grey hope when he was imprisoned in the Tower of Orthanc. When the moth appeared, it was a sign that Gandalf would soon be rescued by the giant eagles, which are used as symbols of divine intervention in Tolkien’s fiction.
Please note that the letters on the star-map to Peridea resemble the Viking runes Tolkien used in The Hobbit. Both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings are stories of a hero’s journey filled with danger and wonder. The brave protagonists have to go “there and back again” just as Sabine will in the Ahsoka series.
Tumblr media
I think that Baylan Skoll reminding us that Star Wars is a children’s story is significant. Consider this quote from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling.
“Of house-elves and children’s tales, of love, loyalty, and innocence, Voldemort knows and understands nothing. Nothing. That they all have a power beyond his own, a power beyond the reach of any magic, is a truth he has never grasped.”
In all the great fairy tales, the love and loyalty of the protagonist is the key to the triumph of good over evil.
Although she isn’t strong in the Force, Sabine Wren’s love for and loyalty to Ezra Bridger will strengthen her resolve on her road of trials along the Path to Peridea. With Ahsoka the Grey by her side, Sabine is ready to leave the comfort of Lothal (her Shire) and go to Peridea to save the man she loves.
Update, post Ahsoka Episode 6:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here’s Huyang reminding us that this is indeed a fairy tale, a children’s story.
And here’s Thrawn, showing us how the villain “knows and understands nothing.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You wouldn't understand,” says Sabine.
“Perhaps not,” Thrawn responds.
What he doesn’t understand is love. The love and devotion that Sabine and Ezra have for each other is the power the dark lord knows not, and it will be his undoing.
I have spoken.

I know that we love to joke about how Chopper’s a murder-happy war criminal (and he is!), but he’s not just that. At the beginning of Season 2 Episode 12, right after Ezra learned about his parents’ deaths, we see him, out in the field, sitting with Ezra.
He’s not antagonizing him or saying anything for once, he’s just being with him while Ezra goes through something incredibly difficult. It’s such a small, quiet character moment, but it gives Chopper a lot of depth. For all he’s a little menace to everyone, he’s very much a member of the family.
