Nix, I love this 🥰✨ You manage that it looks like shrug to concept and realize a comic (it isn’t, it’s a bunch of work 🤌🤌🤌🤌) and I love that you add scenes like that, where i can feel the joy, their playfulness and the speed of their race!

Eeeee, So funny thing about this AU, it was actually "Written" before I had even started on Disgrace. Throwback to the first Bad Batch Fanart I actually did before I made this blog! I knew it'd be better as a comic which I wasn't capable of this time last year, but also would probably be more engaging if people knew who Tahny was. That being said, Tahny is the least Tahny thus far for my AUs, turns out not having billions of credits makes her a bit more grounded as a person.

This will be another multi-parter obs, I'll probably get through a couple more of the turned in request tickets before story boarding part 2! This is a little early for the spooky season but it's still very late summer coded and I wanted to give myself time to try to wrap it up by the end of the year. I think it's going to be like... six parts. Some stylistic growing pains, but that's to be expected.

This isn't going to be a 1:1 interpretation of Michael's story. It's a dash of what I feel Star's experience might've been like, refitted to the batch boys and then ran through the Cross X Tahny filter. If you haven't seen The Lost Boys, this is probably giberish lol. GO WATCH IT!

Owl Squad learned to read Mikkian tendril behaviour faster than their Commander liked 😳 And poor pale Eo blushes easily and very visible in radiant turquoise and has a bad poker face, so they didn’t take long to figure what happens if she blushes with tendril tips coiling a bit more 🥵🙈🩵✨

@foxwithadarkside showed it preciously, because wet hair Mayday in wet leather is… *cough* 👀❤️‍🔥

Ayuna with her color scheme has the advantage that it’s not that obvious, but how to hide the tendril language 😁

Besides that Ayuna doesn’t have a thing to show off what she thinks 😏 she kind of knows that if there are some handsome men who know the score they will have thoughts 😁

I anyway wanted to draw the mysterious holographer Alpha-17 in his goth outfit again, so have here the godfather of the clones having fun on the hunt to get all the good, the bad and the ugly holos of that event 😎🤌🤌

And he‘s completely oblivious of a drunk mikkian Mando‘ad in the background enjoying the sight 😽😈✨

How Fox got his helmet on 👀

(What happened before)

✨🧐 That’s actually a great question and it kind of never left me myself, so I can only offer the most far-fetched chaos explanation out of my brain‘s headcanon brewery:

*mic test* *drum roll* *inhale*

...

☝️🤪 One day Fox eventually ran out of caf, because the old caf droid gave up with their last resigned steaming, smoking and tiredly beeping error, but managing heroically to pour the last caf into the last mug without spilling a single drop... only it wasn't Fox' mug. The day must have been doomed or something – it was of all days also the closed day of the caf shop too.

Marshal Commander Fox began to shake witnessing the one situation he had feared since he got stationed in the Coruscant headquarters: No caf. Not in the vicinity of around 2 hours.

As Coruscant decided to be burning again this day, he has headed highspeed, locked and loaded to the cantina, bringing not only his mug but his empty pot to somehow survive this day, only to watch helplessly the old caf droid's final act.

The pot fell down to the ground out of the shivering hands and the trooper who just wanted to take a sip from the tasty treasure in his mug winced from the sound of metal and looked up to see a deathly pale Fox with wide sore eyes glaring at the mug like a maniac.

From Fox' point of view it was nothing but lethal: There was it. The last caf. And from all of the hundreds of troopers of this level there could be only one Corrie guard whose first reaction is to try to hide the mug whith shifting cautiously to the side, holding eye contact like a cornered thief. Thorn.

That was too much. The next metallic sound on the ground was a bit louder with more clattering as the great intimidating force of nature of Marshal Commander sprawled backwards like shot, his body just noping away, leaving behind a concerned Commander Thorn rushing towards him before his sight went dark.

The result that would never had happened without this crucial event:

Thorn felt guilty and had one of his crazy ideas how to care for his overstressed ori'vod (and to try to impress him of course), so he went to Dr. Miran Threst, the head of the GAR armor development to ask for a special helmet commission: If Fox' armor measured critical vital signs, no matter if in battle or in other life-threatening situations like running out of caf, the helmet should run an emergency protocol to fly directly on the head of the connected armor, providing first aid like oxygen, stimulating frequences and an automatical emergency alert com to the Corrie headquarters.

So that's my explanation. I sadly can't tell how Miran reacted to Thorn trying to convince her that the tracking of the caffeine level is in this special case also an important vital sign and that installing a critial alert if it fell below 20 percent is really neccessary, but as I know Thorn I could imagine that the situation escalated into an unforeseen adventure, where he finds himself secretly meeting the Bad Batch because of Miran working with Tech to tinker how to realize a kind of unauthorized flying bucket with all those features, providing them all his ways and possibilities of the GAR as a Commander of the Coruscant Guard, drinking some pints with Wrecker and drunk rambling Hunter about the great haircare effect of beer and all of that while keeping the actions secret from the official reports and especially from the highly paranoid target of his caring project.

As we can see, Thorn succeeded 😁 For details we might get answers of Miran, if she's not too busy @i-put-the-no-in-nobility
