Imagine, for a moment, a world where Gento being Blazar’s host became known to his team, his wife (who has Opinions for consideration later), and his son.

Imagine, for a moment, Jun, being seven, becoming interested in getting a pet. Except they can’t do a cat or a dog; the apartment doesn’t allow them.

Imagine, for a moment, Jun, while talking to his dad an about his work with Blazar (who is still the coolest hero ever) having the realization Firdran is Blazar’s pet. Blazar is part of the Hiruma household. Therefore, Firdran is, by default, the Hiruma family pet.

Imagine, for a moment, Jun realizing they have a kaiju firebird dragon as a pet and not a single person in the household has made sure to take it for walks! Or gotten it meals! Or - or - or -!

Imagine Blazar, being Blazar, does not want Jun to be upset. Gento, being Gento, wants to give his son the world. And his brilliant son does have an excellent point: Firdran is an important member of SKaRD, even if he is a giant flaming space kaiju. Now imagine -

Gento: “This is Hiruma.” <pause> “Yes, sir, Earth Garon is deployed in the Japanese Alps.” <pause> “Eh? No, sir! Of course we’re not playing fetch with Blazar’s pet! Firdran is helping us with materials stress testing and pilot training! It only looks like we’re playing fetch!”

Plot bunny to be released: crack edition

Starting when Dick was Robin, it became a fun past time for the Birds to find a way to make an unplanned cameo in costume when movies were filming in Gotham.

Eventually, that started including walk-on roles in their public personas which started off as a dare between Dick and Jason. And after telling Bruce they were using it as practice for undercover work, it became more regular.

Move forward in time, the superhero persona cameos were still done, but walk-on roles had stopped after Jason’s death.

But when Tim and Steph were showing Cass a newly released movie filmed in Gotham, Tim briefly caught sight of a familiar teen believed to be dead. Not knowing what to make of it, he purposely made them watch them movie again.

This was how the family first found out Jason was no longer resting.

(In my brain, the cameo is when Jason was wandering the streets in a catatonic stupor)

I absolutely cannot write this now, so I'm putting it out into the universe for adoption:

Nie Huaisang born a girl and thus betrothed to Lan Wangji in childhood. Everyone thinks this is GREAT IDEA except for the betrothed who very much DO NOT.

I imagine this as a fix-it where NHS is actually motivated to use her cunning For the Greater Good because if she can get LWJ married to WWX and get JXZuan married to JYL and Jiang Cheng married to Wen Qing and maybe find a way to get LXC to abdicate and marry her DaGe then she'll be allowed to marry whomever she wants (which is "no one", unless you want to set her up with Wen Ning or Mo Xuanyu or whomever?). Not sure what happens with Meng Yao, it could be 3Zun or smth?

I just love the idea of female!NHS basically ruling the entire Jianghu by proxy because no one left her any choice in the matter, DaGe! I had to! You don't know, you really don't know!

Concept of a transformers soul eater AU is very funny because like several of the characters already turn into guns in canon

Megatron as the weapon & Starscream as his meister lol i imagine them as already being death weapon status or near to it

You don't even have to change the names of the characters at all because of the stagename system especially because as shown with Eternal Feather you don't need someone's consent to give them a stage name just enough signatures

Soundwave would be a meister with the cassettes as his weapons

You could have Shockwave be a weapon that's constructed a golem/magic puppet he dubs Longarm to wield him

I feel like Optimus would be a meister with weapon blood so he can turn into the matrix at some point, what does it do? Who knows (it has a purifying wavelength that can counteract madness)

Since TFA is like the highschool dropout version of transformers that's the one im taking the most inspiration from in what is essentially a magical highschool AU

I have no clue who or what the rest of the meister/weapon teams should be

Could he cool to have jazz and prowl tied to the star clan tho

A historical fantasy HashiMada AU where Senju are regular warrior clan but Uchiha are yokai clan with ability to turn into birds. So as normal people Senju are wary and not welcoming to yokai.

One day Hashirama finds a hawk with a broken wing in the forest and decides to take it home to help it recover.

Madara always was told not to interact with humans unless he has the upper hand or absolutely has to. But when he is stranded in the forest because of his broken wing a human with gentle hands decided to help him...

So in deciding to bring over my fics from FFnet, I realized I finally had to face the problem (not really a problem, to be fair) of what to do about this other account I technically have on FFnet.

Why do I have a second account on FFnet? Well, originally it was not mine and I still don't really think of it as mine. Originally it belonged to a friend I had in late high school/most of college. She was my age? Maybe a year or so older, maybe a year or so younger, it was never clear. But we clicked online and wrote a fic together, attempted to write a few other fics together that did not get written, and I proofread a few things for her here and there. I think she did the same for me, but I dunno that I'd call any of it beta reading.

We had a lot of fun. I definitely don't regret co-writing the one fic we did manage to complete together and our writing styles were really similar so it all meshed really well, but all the things that went wrong behind the scenes - mostly coordination issues, though in retrospect she was clearly getting less and less interested in writing fic towards the end - made me realize I prefer writing fic solo. Thanks to how FFnet is set up, co-authors have to choose who publishes a fic and thus who gets the real ownership of the fic. And at the time, I let her have that control. I also contributed a few fics to her oneshot collection fics. But when she decided to leave writing fanfic behind...

Well, that could have turned out bad for me in that I could have lost control of my own writing entirely because she basically dropped off the face of the earth from my point of view. But she did something before that which I greatly appreciate - she handed off control of her account to me. Including the email account she'd created solely for fanfic purposes. Which... I had not realized was not her main email account so while on the one hand, I had access to all our shared writing (and a few stray emails from other people she'd bounced ideas off of)... it meant that I no longer had any way of contacting her because that email was how I contacted her.

But she wanted me to have control of our shared fics and while she requested I leave her fics alone beyond fixing any stray spelling errors... she also basically gave me cart blanche to take them down or move them should FFnet become inhospitable in the way we had seen other fanfic havens become.

Honestly, I got really lucky that she chose to do this. I'm really not sure how much was her looking ahead and how much was her just wanting to be done with fanfic writing. I'm just glad she did it.

But obviously with FFnet steadily declining and having decided to finally move all my old fics to Ao3/SquidgeWorld... that left me with the question of what to do with her account. I wanted to move over my fics that I either co-wrote with her or contributed to her collection fics, but I didn't want to leave her fics behind or lose that co-author credit for her.

I think I'd hoped at some point she'd reappear but... *shrug* she hasn't. Adding her works to my Ao3 account under a pseud didn't feel right since, ya know, she's not me and her works that I didn't cowrite aren't mine. So I've spun up an account to move her stuff to and moved almost all her solo written fics there already.

It's been bittersweet going through all her old fics because it brings back half-forgotten memories of messaging on gmail and remembering which of these fics I did spelling/grammar edits for her on and going back and forth on shared gdocs over the plot for our FF8 fic and the fun we had trying to put Nathan Stark back into Eureka after he was killed off. But it also brings back how sad I felt when our friendship ended - it felt very abrupt to me but in hindsight there was a lot going on for her that she just wasn't sharing with me. Which was fair, we never met in the real world or knew each others real names. I hope she's okay and happy. And i do wonder sometimes if she ever returned to writing fanfic under a different name. If she has, she hasn't reached out to me about it.

Overall I'm glad I can preserve her fics and the reminder they are of a friendship that was, at the time, very important to me. But it was definitely something I had to think long and hard about how to handle.

Extras: If she were to be included in season 7's Hyperion Heights, then her cursed persona would be Renee Washington and she’d be a server/dishwasher/cleaner at Roni's bar, and Ruby would be a rival bar owner (called Lone Wolf) that Roni hates, but whom Raina is friends with, putting Renee right in between the two, ensuring she’d have to pick a side. And further, what if the reason it took Jiang Fengman so long to find Wei Ying was because she had cast some kind of array to hide the boy in Yiling?

...that leaves the question of how the array got broken, eventually, but wow this sure would explain a lot of her anger about Wei Ying showing up on her doorstep.

(This is assuming that she was not so bloodthirsty as to kill a child; maybe she thought it would be poetic for CSSR's child to be a poor beggar his whole life, amounting to nothing? Then POOF there he is at Lotus Pier, showing up her own son...)

“Um,” Thirteen says, glancing at the box warily. “So like, you want us to . . . wear that? Like, your, uh–your old . . .” 

“Better fit for the farm, like I said,” Superman says. Match does not understand how Superman thinks either of them is any kind of “fit” for this environment no matter how he dresses. “If nothing else, Lara’s going to need civilian clothes, so if these fit him alright that’ll mean we don’t have to find him a whole wardrobe all at once.” 

“Uh,” Thirteen says, looking–uncomfortable. Match stares blankly at Superman and attempts to reconcile literally a single thing in this conversation, but is mostly stuck on: 

a) is Superman expecting him to regularly wear civilian clothes? 

and 

b) is Superman under the impression that Thirteen owns civilian clothes? 

“Also means you don’t have to loan him half your wardrobe,” Superman adds wryly. Match cannot believe that he’s been stolen by an idiot that rivals Thirteen, but no wonder the Agenda had to modify his DNA to keep him from being an idiot. 

“Uh–right,” Thirteen says, looking uncomfortable. Match vaguely despises all of existence, but specifically the existence of every idiot whose unaccompanied DNA ever wound up in a petri dish and made him have to put up with existing himself. 

“Thirteen doesn’t own civilian clothes,” he says flatly. 

“I own clothes, asshole,” Thirteen says, bristling a little. 

“Are you referring to the abandoned beachwear on the floor of your closet or the collection of mismatched socks founding a civilization under your bed?” Match asks dryly. Thirteen turns red and bristles a lot. 

“I–fuck you!” he sputters, visibly embarrassed. “And stop fucking creeping around my bunk, Christ!” 

“Maybe you should be more worried about your employers who run a cloning lab being stupid enough to just let any familiar face walk in through the front door with no questions asked,” Match points out still more dryly. “Just in terms of things you can affect and should be concerned about.” 

“You’re such a fucking shithead,” Thirteen snaps, glowering at him, then looks briefly even more embarrassed and glances at Superman’s parents with a wince. “Uh . . . I mean . . .” 

“. . . Kon,” Superman says with a strange expression. “Do you actually not–” 

Superman cuts himself off, and Thirteen turns red, half-cringing in on himself for a moment before visibly forcing himself to straighten up in his seat and draw himself up to take up space again. 

Stupid, Match thinks, entirely unsurprised by said stupidity. 

“I mean, why would I, man? Not like I really do undercover or whatever,” Thirteen replies with a casual shrug, which fully reinforces the “stupid” assessment, as ever. Thirteen has mastered living down to expectations, in Match’s experience. “Usually Rob just digs something up for me if we gotta go someplace under the radar.”

Superman looks very strange.

Night Forest AU

(This AU was created from the inspiration of the songs: "Harpy Hare" and Fullost's Story - Fearful Sunday (Skwisi). The second song is in Russian and not everyone knows it, but for the most part it was the second song that inspired me. Also, a huge thank you to Emi (@creat0rstudi0) for helping with some images for the characters and individual solutions for the AU).

In the new AU the plot is as follows:

"Peppino, Gustavo and Maurice, inhabitants of the forest, inhabited by different animals, magical and mythical creatures. Once this forest was filled with bright life, thanks to their Ruler. But at one point, mysteriously the Ruler of the Forest disappeared and in his place appeared a mysterious creature, who took the place of the ruler. But at the same time, the life of the forest with the onset of eternal night changed dramatically. The forest became cold and was no longer bright, many plants grew poorly (they did not have enough moonlight), many animals and mythical creatures went wild, attacking everyone they saw. So many years pass, Maurice also disappears and the only task of the guys is to take the fire that they have left, find it and return home safe. But it seems that they will have to do not only this, but also save the forest itself. And how they will do it, is a mystery."

Now the characters will go:

I'll start right with the main three, these are Maurice, Peppino and Gustavo. Maurice acts as a brother and parent to these two (in this AU he is not an asshole, but just a little grumpy, but kind). As a teenager, his family is accused of witchcraft in the village and threatened to kill them by burning down their house. He takes everything he can and his brother Peppino and adopted brother Gustavo (who were babies at the time) in his arms and runs away into the forest, getting into its magical part, which the villagers do not know about. Maurice will have to raise his brothers on his own, but fortunately someone will help him. Peppino and Gustavo have not changed their characters. Also here is Brick, a huge hedgehog.

Sunface is everyone's favorite and kind Ruler of the Forest. When Maurice, Gus and Pep ended up in the forest, he decided to help them (because he felt that they were good), providing them with a home, protection, food and good living conditions. He is like a parent to them.

Sunhead is an unknown creature that gifted the forest with eternal night, kidnapping and destroying the ruler himself. But he feels that he did not completely destroy it, because there was some his magic in the forest. His target now became Peppino and Gustavo. He also deceitfully sent the next enemies to them, who need to either kill them, or at least put out their fire, which they took with them.

Rozamen is a creature resembling a huge rose. Due to the influence of eternal night, its bud practically does not open, its abilities have become dull and its mind has become clouded, from which it has also become wild. It can grow thorny vines and throw thorns at its victim separately. Sometimes it can grow roses separately, but the buds are closed. Its appearance was inspired by the line from the second song "Bloom roses, in the spruce forest."

Stumplant(e) - a grumpy stump of an old tree with a mushroom on its head. Its ability is to grow roots from underground (and on itself) and drag the victim underground. Do not dare to harm trees or alive stumps, otherwise you are dead.

Noise - a creature Auka, which was not initially harmful and only made harmless jokes. But now the jokes are over, it will confuse the victim's path as much as possible and prevent him from going further. It can be easily bribed, but only if this deal suits him, of course.

Noisette - a horned bunny, with a wild disposition and curiosity. Can help Noise with his jokes. Likes to make food from everything she finds and treat someone. If you do not accept her treats and rudely answer her, she will scratch you and she will be upset (or Noise will do it).

Wendigo Bruno - a creature that Sunhead created. Friendly but aggressive, even the inhabitants of the forest are afraid of him (not all, there are those who appeased him, such as all the bosses, he is nice and friendly to them, oddly enough).

I'm suffering from a bunny-wan plot bunny. And I have to share it:

When Anakin's in the Temple during sporadic shore leaves, he works on te mouse droids. They all have their little names and more upgrades than any mouse droid should have. They should be subject to arms regulations at this stage.

Anakin's newest invention is an improved path tracking for the mouse droids. As he tests this, one of the droids (and we'll give him a ridiculous name like Lord Bucktooth the Fifteenth) runs into problems. Anakin uses the tracker on the mouse droids (another very necessary upgrade performed by yours truly) to locate the mouse droids.

He expects to find the droid snagged in a discarded cloak or stuck under a chair. But no, the mouse droid (Lord Bucktooth the Fifteenth) has crashed into a bunny. Now, I imagine the scene like this:

the mouse droid lies on its back, wheels still spinning madly (courtesy of the speed update). Meanwhile, the rabbit lies on its flank, the fur on its flank mussed from the collision.

It's very clear that the mouse droid should have given way to the rabbit and just ran the poor animal over. Now, Anakin is not usually an animal person. Animals can sense his Force signature, always roiling like thunderstorms and doing the equivalent of dropping the barometric pressure. But this rabbit is undeterred by Anakin crouching by the crime scene. Because this is undeniably Anakin's fault.

After putting the mouse droid back on its wheels, Anakin turns to the rabbit. And to his surprise, the rabbit lets him smooth the mussed fur on his flank. Thus, Anakin discovers the rabbits auburn fur is silky soft. Intrigued and awed, he pets the rabbit, letting a floppy, velvety ear run through his fingers, and testing that his little, flaring nose is as soft as it looks (it's somehow softer).

The bunny wrestles back to its feet, clearly fed up with Anakin petting him. Anakin decides to help, putting the bunny back on its feet. Since Anakin possesses no impulse control and this bunny just tugs on his heartstrings, he can't resist the urge to tousle the fur on the rabbit's head.

Now, this rabbit was already fed up with Anakin before Anakin stroked all his fur in the wrong direction. And so, the bunny flees. Anakin tries to follow him, but it's rather difficult to follow such a small and slippery animal, so he loses track of the rabbit.

Anakin's first order of business is adding some traffic regulations in the mouse droids' data banks.

Cue Obi-Wan returning to this quarters, his hair sticking up in all imaginable angles and his robes a mess. Anakin has never seen Obi-Wan so disorganized, and they've fought plenty battles together.

And he blames Anakin when Anakin asks aghast what happened to him. This is, of course extremely unfair. Anakin didn't do anything!

Either way, Anakin fixes the mouse droids, but he's still a little worried for this bunny. Like any reasonable person would do, he equips the mouse droids with cameras and tasks them to find the bunny to ensure bunny is fine (adoption is not out of the question).

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan's being hunted by mouse droids (and an Anakin Skywalker hot on their whirring wheels), each time he transforms. We'll blame the need to transform on Obi-Wan's Stewjon heritage (or he was bitten by a feral bunny Qui-Gon picked up during one of their missions. I actually like this option more).

If he doesn't transform at set times, the transformation can kick in at inopportune times, so Obi-Wan's very careful with his schedule. Until Anakin messes it up, of course. By performing a witch hunt on him! Absolutely ridiculous, but he can't confront Anakin directly.

I imagine that he does like Anakin's cuddles, but he'll also want some petty revenge on his former Padawan.

Either way, this plot bunny won't leave me alone, but I really need to work on chapter 14 for DAUNTLESS and I have too many WIPs already.

Grim vs Cat (Idia x reader)

hi! thanks for the request, i love it, and had so much fun writing it. and I always welcome idia requests!

Idia wasn’t really a “people person.” But cats? That was a whole different story. He had always wanted a cat, and now, somehow, despite the chaotic nature of his life, he finally had one. A sleek, intelligent little creature that glared at you with calculating eyes from its perch on his desk. It was the ultimate dream for Idia—now if only he could get his cat to stop starting turf wars.

Grim, as expected, was not thrilled.

Ace and Deuce were unavailable for Grim-sitting duties, which is how you ended up in Idia’s room, controller in hand, while Grim sulked on one side of you and Idia’s cat, smug as anything, lounged on the other. The air between the two was thick with tension, like a battle waiting to happen.

Idia, meanwhile, was all too happy. “Isn’t he the best?” he gushed for the 50th time, scratching the cat behind its ears. “I’m telling you, cats are, like, the ultimate companions—super chill but totally awesome. And, uh, I might’ve installed a motion tracker in his collar, just in case.”

Grim’s eyes narrowed into slits. “Ultimate companions? Excuse me? I’m the ultimate companion, thank you very much. That furball couldn’t fight a dust bunny.”

Idia’s cat, clearly picking up on the vibe, casually hopped off the desk and rubbed against your legs. Grim’s fur bristled, his whole body tensing as if ready to pounce.

You sighed, already seeing where this was going. “Grim, don’t start.”

Grim ignored you, his eyes locked on the smug feline. “I’m not starting anything. But if he wants a challenge, I’ll gladly show him who’s boss!”

The cat, as if sensing the growing tension, decided to up the ante. It rubbed against your leg once more, then hopped into your lap, purring loudly. Grim’s outrage reached new heights.

Idia, who had been watching with wide-eyed fascination, was practically vibrating with joy. “Look at that! He’s making himself at home! This is amazing!” He leaned forward, practically giddy as he watched his cat settle comfortably. “He’s so smart. It’s like he knows how to get to Grim.”

Grim growled, puffing up like a furious little balloon. “Oh, he knows all right! He’s trying to make me look bad!”

Before you could respond, Grim lunged, claws out, ready to defend his honor. And just like that, chaos erupted. The two were a blur of fur, hisses, and screeches, rolling across the floor in what could only be described as an epic showdown.

“Hey! Break it up!” you shouted, scrambling to separate them. But they were too quick—Grim yowling like a demon, and the cat swatting at him with a smug look on its face, like it was bored with the entire ordeal.

Idia was frozen, controller still in hand. “Um... do we... like, call an adult or something?”

You grabbed Grim by the scruff and hoisted him into the air, glaring at him while he squirmed. “Stop picking fights with a cat, Grim. This is embarrassing for all of us.”

“That cat... is mocking me! Mocking me, I tell you!”

You held him up to eye level, exasperated. “Grim, it’s a cat. It’s not plotting your downfall.”

Grim bared his teeth. “Oh, it’s plotting. I can see it in his beady little eyes. He thinks he’s better than me. No one is better than me!”

Idia’s cat, now lounging on the bed like nothing had happened, gave a slow blink and yawned. It might as well have been a victory lap.

Idia, clutching his controller in defeat, sighed. “Maybe the cat’s, like... asserting dominance? I’ve read about this. It’s like a... mini-boss battle for cats, right?”

You rolled your eyes, still holding Grim as he simmered in your arms. “It’s not a dungeon raid, Idia.”

By the time the dust settled and Grim begrudgingly agreed to stop trying to “end” the cat, you found yourself back in the world of gaming, though Grim kept casting dark, suspicious glances toward Idia’s cat, who was now curled up in your lap, purring like it had won some grand prize.

Idia, still petting the cat every few minutes, was over the moon. “I think this went pretty well, all things considered. Cats are, like, totally zen, right? So peaceful... when they’re not... you know... fighting.”

Grim huffed from the corner, clearly not over it. “Yeah, zen. Right.”

Hours later, back in the relative safety of Ramshackle, Grim was still sulking. “You betrayed me, you know. Petting that stupid cat like it’s some sort of prince. You’re supposed to be on my side.”

You crouched down to his level, giving him a fond scratch behind the ears. “You’re my best friend, Grim. Always have been. No cat could ever replace you.”

Grim puffed out his chest a little, the sulk fading ever so slightly. “Well... good. Just don’t go getting any ideas. Cats... ugh.”

You smiled, ruffling his fur. “No worries, buddy. You’re irreplaceable.”

And that seemed to be enough—for now.
