i’ve always been a sucker for whatever trope they have, i like when two characters don’t get along at first but slowly warm up to eachother as the series progresses while at the same time still being able to pick on eachother LMAO its also cute how they’re both pretty competitive individuals so its only natural for them to make fun of eachother’s weaknesses but i like how instead of making fun of her he decides to help her get her back up on her feet in this scene🥹

Thinking about how either of the Stans react to physical contact when having a panic attack. Ford, a man who usually isn't particularly too fond of touching other people/other people touching him NEEDING physical contact in order to calm down, like a hug for example. And Stan, a man who's usually the one to initiate physical contact and being happy when other people do it first (even if he's never gonna admit it) being TERRIFIED of being touched when panicking which also ends up worsening his panic attacks.

One of my favorite headcanons is that Heart is often violent during his crying fits, especially if someone is trying to comfort him.

Soul struggles to keep him still as he sobs and squirms, beating desperate fists into Souls chest because it’s all too much and he has so much pent up energy. Tightening his grasp on Souls shoulders until bruises form and Soul has to practically man handle him to get him to calm down.

Soul wakes up sore and covered in bruises in the morning, trying his hardest not to hiss in pain as he goes about his daily activities. Heart struggles to fully remember, but he knows it’s because of him, the guilt eats him alive.

i think i made a post describing smth similar a while back (i cant for the life of me remember when, but i know it was before i saw that post from gooseworx, which i think is funny) but like. i dont think pomnis SUPER quick to attack. but shes not afraid to, and she is not above fighting dirty, she would do ANYTHING to get the upper hand

if shes fighting shes going to FIGHT and the same way she operates very much in a 'frantically doing anything she can as long as it means survival' sorta manner (i dont think shes Literally concerned about survival if she were to think about it but its the same mechanism) i imagine if someone makes her feel the need to fight shes gonna be fighting from a place of subtle 'i need to fight in order to survive,' which is probably the worst possible thing for another person to be up against

+ i have my own hc? theory? im not sure what itd be called, but i think the whole 'sharp teeth' thing is a like. effectively a visual shorthand on her models part of a fight response, which is why i think it didnt happen in ep 3 despite being in a frightening situation.... if she doesnt think she could win a fight i dont think it happens. but i dont think it needs a specific target (like in the pilot- i think shes physically ready to attack someone after seeing the computer, but theres no one there). if she feels like she needs to attack smth i think thats why it happens. so i think its funny that it happens in ep 2 with jax LMAOOOO

i absolutely hope we get to see it in the series itself... i imagine they wouldnt have shown it in the commercial w jax and pomni if it werent something shes willing to do in canon and im eagerly awaiting the moment she physically attacks him or literally anyone and does far more damage than anyone expects of her

(esp cus the commercial is 100% noncanon, and she was alone when she was freaking out in the pilot, and her being like that in ep 3 would have sadly been forgotten... so i dont know if anyone realizes the sheer amount of carnage shes capable of HAHA)

i was wondering how th prisoners would react to es’ usage of violence, like some of the younger prisoners complaining about it while the older are concerned because Hello Where did that stem from???? you cant tell me es’ “phew, i feel so much better” after hitting shidou didn’t send his mind racing a million miles per minute

ALSO curious about YONAH………… similar to how red’s violence towards es was scripted, was kotoko’s monologue about es being imperfect Also scripted, or was it on her own? yonah is probably my favourite voice drama of all time and I’m curious about how it would be interpreted in this au 🫶

Because OMG I spent so much time thinking of the faked violence, I don't know why I never put as much attention on the flipside! I love the idea of Jackalope assuring them, "there will be no physical punishments. We'll talk about restraints but that's all fake. We'll make up injuries between trials but that's all fake. You don't have to worry about any real pain." And then this 15yo strolls up, interrogation one, ready to smack someone😅😅😅

Seriously though, I think it would come as a pretty big surprise to the group. They knew it was a possibility, but didn't think Es was that likely to attack, since they've made a few comments about being against violent punishments. Haruka comes back to mention the slap, and Yuno follows their instructions and says she also suffered violence, and the group is Shocked. I think it would just kill Fuuta that he wasn't allowed to hit back and avenge the others. He probably has the most complaints about the situation (and is insanely relieved that he get by in his own interrogation.) In a feeble attempt to get back at Es and make them feel bad, he encourages Muu to cry and make a big show about being afraid of them. Muu is frightened enough that it doesn't take much persuasion... I think Kotoko and unfortunately Amane wouldn't mind the threat, they both have lives in which authority showing power isn't out of place (and maybe Haruka?). Mahiru, too, thinks it's just the way a prison guard can run their prison if they want, though she's determined her charm will keep things running pleasantly.

Kazui reaches out asap* to question the legality of the experiment, since they're allowing children to get hit, even if by other children. There's a tangle of signatures and consent from everyone involved so it's okay, but the whole thing still rubs him the wrong way. He knew the experiment was a bit shady, but he(Though, this does make his first vd kind of funny -- instead of actually talking through his theories on the prison, now it feels like he's just egging Es on to see if they'll actually hit him...)

And I really like that idea that Shidou's dad instincts kick in (or maybe it's doctor instincts)! He'd understand if it was a child trying to play the role of an intimidating adult, but the way Es is doing things, the things they're saying, it all points to something deeper going on in Es' head. I can see him sitting down with the others and Jackalope to discuss. Of course Milgram gives him very little to work with, but this still kickstarts everyone's efforts to make sure Es is also taken care of post-Milgram.

*I just realized I'm still a bit fuzzy on communication during the trials. Jackalope can definitely get information to the prisoners (most commonly the 'voices' they're supposed to be hearing based on Es' notes, but also in case of emergency changes or things). I was picturing the prisoners unable to communicate outward until the trial ends, as it builds up the feeling of isolation and imprisonment. The issue is, I feel like Jackalope would want to keep that line open in case the prisoners had questions/issues with the experiment that affected their acting. So idk if the prisoners voice these concerns about Es mid-trial or they're forced to wait. I'll get back to you on that, hm

I really like the idea that the Milgram team instructed Kotoko to mention Es' imperfection to rattle them a bit, but left the specifics to her. Jackalope thought she'd just make some quick comment, and does a double take when he listens in on the interrogation and realizes she has a lot to say on Es and the way Milgram is run.

Jacklope told her to be harsh with Es, and she thought that was no problem at all. She felt those opinions strongly and wasn't going to go easy on the criticism just because they were a kid. She goes into the interrogation ready to stay completely put-together... and then surprises everyone and herself when Es' distress moves her to pull them into a tight hug and tell them everything's going to be alright ;---;

Guys I'm actually so invested in the team I ended up getting (technically choosing, but under a set of restrictions and honestly it was all brainless spur of the moment choices) for the "metronome battle" tournament I'm gonna be in with a few friends. I never used any of these Pokémon before in my fucking life but after carefully thinking about and curating their EVs and such to be the best they could be for the situation, I am SO proud of them and can't wait to see them in action!

(Except for Cheshire Cat. She's adorable but she is completely useless stats wise lol. Everyone has to have a weak Pokémon on their team in this tournament as part of the rules and she is mine!)

Mr Hands hits like a fucking truck IF he happens to get literally ANY physical attacking move from Metronome. The odds are pretty in his favour I find. He also has like a billion HP so he takes hits pretty well.

Dollop is from the "mid tier" pool and I'm using him (I've always used he/him for this Pokémon, he's trans I guess) ENTIRELY because he is a shiny I am VERY proud of, but he also hits pretty good when getting special attacking moves, and TAKES special attacks like a champ. He's the only member of my team who isn't extremely slow. He also has an ability that prevents any of my team getting put to sleep as long as he's on the field (this is Double Battles) which could be super clutch, you never know!

Cheshire Cat has exactly one thing to offer to the team: she has the ability Unnerve, which will prevent the opponents from eating their Leppa Berries. I'm going to count the PP used and send her out with the best possible timing to stop them so that they have to use Struggle and take recoil. Also, being Steel type means you tend to resist many of the attacks that Metronome throws up, which is her only hope for staying around for more than a couple turns because dear lord are Meowth's stats terrible 😂

Misophonia is my fucking PRIDE AND JOY. I am SO excited to see her shine. I had never even THOUGHT about Hatterene much before setting her up for this tournament and it turns out its stats are fucking great! You see, their base Attack is actually perfectly serviceable, so I did the exact opposite that one would do for a normal competitive battle and maxed out her Attack so that it's almost level with her Special Attack. In fact Misophonia's Attack is higher than Dollop's Sp. Atk and of course Miso's own Sp. Atk is considerably higher than that! Her defenses are also pretty great. Her stats are so fucking perfect for Metronome where you are going to be both dishing out and taking both physical and special attacks at complete random. AND! Her ability is Magic Bounce, so the opponent gets Thunder Wave, Toxic Spikes, anything like that from Metronome? UNO REVERSE MOTHERFUCKER! That ability is actually the sole reason why I picked Hatterene, its amazing stats are a huge pleasant surprise for me. I think Misophonia is gonna carry me to victory 💖

also since we are talking about it, miles has little to no libido / sex drive / desire to actually physically sleep with people who aren’t the walrider post canon. he flirts and makes passes a lot because it’s just his personality, but he’s terrified of anything other than brief and basic physical contact. so while he might entertain Ideas and want to take things in that direction — unless there’s a lot of trust and discussion beforehand he most likely won’t follow through
