there’s a very insidious form of racism in the western left when people act like fascists in nonwhite or nonwestern countries shouldn’t be held to the same standard y’all hold fascists in the US and europe
fascist theocratic regime supporters are just as bad in the middle east or elsewhere as they are in the west and you not wanting to call that shit out is just that type of racism where you think nonwhite people can do no wrong, it’s infantilizing and gross

western women in privileged countries, when feminists from the global south tell you to watch out for white men and that your superiority complex won't save you, it is not an insult, it is a warning
what happens to women in the global south isn't happening because we have dark skin or non-european cultures. the threat that terrorizes us openly that makes you feel pity for us is not unique to us. that threat is in your bed, too.

Dear friends, kind-hearted strangers,
I don't know why I didn't get enough support or donate recently, are a people really not interested in us anymore? I know it's been a long time coming and we've been living in this darkness for almost a year, my heart is so frustrated, but your support is a beacon of hope in this darkness we live in 😔💔
We are almost halfway to our goal, I truly appreciate support and standing by me and my family ❤
But If everyone donates 5$, it will make a difference, and we become very close to our goal, I don't want to be intrusive but just feel us in your hearts, that's all I hope for, and thank you for everything you have given us so far, I really appreciate it and am really grateful to you.. 🙏💕
🔴 fundraising campaign vetted by @90-ghost Here, @gazavetters #78 on the list ✅✅
Please share the link and spread the word to everyone you know, it really helps 🙏❤

Happy Yalda Night ❤️
Pomegranate is one of the symbols of Yalda night.
Yalda is the name of the longest night of the year in Iran. We Iranians celebrate this night. All families eat pomegranates, persimmons, nuts and watermelons on this night, people go to friends' and relatives' houses and stay awake more on this night, read poetry, talk and laugh with each other.

"Nobody would ever say something insensitive about X physical condition like they do Y mental condition" "Nobody would ever be racist towards X like they are towards Y" "No one would ever dare treat X religion like they do Y religion" "X gender/sexuality are never treated the way Y gender/sexuality are"
What if we stopped playing Oppression Olympics. What if we started showing some solidarity. What if we just stuck to describing the problem instead of detouring around to shit on someone we think isn't oppressed enough. What if we stopped making sweeping judgements on what issues other groups of people do or do not face based on vibes.

I spoke with the #Derry_Journal newspaper about the political and social conditions and the life of the Iranian people#:
It is a summary of all the negatives that came with the old Soviet governments, Nazi Germany, East Germany, and North Korea. The difference is that in these governments, people had the right to choose their clothing. In my country, the government intervenes in the clothing of citizens, there is a morality police and strict rules have been established regarding the hijab. Many people do not know Iran or only know that it has oil and gas.
The Islamic Republic has done something to Iran that every moment my country looks less like my dreams and more like a nightmare. Living in Iran is like running on a treadmill for citizens who are against the Islamic Republic and have no affiliation with it.
Between the Islamic Republic, which is the government based in Iran, and the Taliban, which has taken power in Afghanistan, the only difference is in their appearance. There is no difference in their behavior and attitude towards people.
For them, people are not citizens but subjects who must obey what the rulers say. In my country, a president only plays the role of a scarecrow.
All orders, laws, and policies are under the supervision of the leader of the country, Ali Khamenei, who has never had a single interview with independent media and is not accountable to anyone for his behavior.

It’s driving me up the wall that the same people who demand that Israel be dismantled and call for “death to Israel” because it’s apparently an ethnostate (already a very dubious claim in itself), then turn around and praise/idolize the Islamic fucking Republic of all places!!!!!
Are you genuinely that disconnected from the reality of the situation? How far up your own ass do you have to be to not immediately see the massive hypocrisy?
Did you forget Masha Amini? Was she just a trend to you? Are you willing to throw your lot in with morality police, Russian allies, and fascist extremist governments just because you both hate Jews?

Hamas attacks in retaliation, Israel is made out to be the victim. Israel attacks Sudan, Yemen, and we either don't talk about it or claim it was Hamas. Now Israel fires weapons into Iran and when they fire back, it's considered an aggressive and violent attack against the Israeli people.
Biden is dragging his citizens headlong into a war we should have no part in to support a country who does not care about collateral. He promised debt relief, gender care, pay increases, and we have seen NO positives on any of those fronts all while he desperately pours resources into supplying the murder of innocent Arabs.
You who support this war hate the Arab people, you're all just too much of pussies to admit it. So you hide behind these excuses. "Oh, Israel's just defending itself. Oh, that was someone else". You wish for the death of all the Arabs without any of the social repercussions of actually admitting that, so you claim anyone who wishes for the killing to stop is actually antisemitic and "wants to kill all the Jews".
Palestine will be free and the Israeli government will face punishment for the crimes they have perpetrated.

The thing is, Israel had most of the missiles intercepted. so because there was no "real damage" people will act like this is ok. Israel is a big bad bully, they can take it, so you can attack them freely and they cannot retaliate because you are the poor little mew mew whose citizens get killed because you don't give a crap about their life.
and the big guy attacking the small one is always bad, no matter what the small one did, right?

The Iranian missile attack on Israel last week consisted of about 200 missiles. Each of those cost about a million dollars to produce. This means that the Iranian government thinks **200 million dollars** would do more good exploding over the sky somewhere else than being used for welfare, education and infrastructure inside Iran. I wonder how many Iranian lives that is in car accidents and cancer medicine. Every rocket shot by Hamas costs about 800$ to produce. By a very conservative estimate they averaged spending about 700,000$ a year between 2001-2021 just on rockets. They also spend about 300 thousand dollars for a kilometer of underground tunnels. They likely have about 800km. That's 240 million dollars. I'm not even counting other war spendings right now. I wonder how many parents wouldn't have had to wait for permits getting their children heart surgeries in israeli hospitals. I wonder how many impoverished young people could have received scholarships to become engineers and musicians and climate leaders and architects. I wonder what relations of mutual growth a thriving Gaza could have built with both Israel and Egypt. I also wonder how many disabled people won't receive financial aid, how many schools would go underfunded, how many people will die in understaffed hospital wards in israel this year because some rabid militarist decided this money is better spent killing people abroad to perpetuate the pointless cycle of retaliations. I'm also furious at all of this. And so fucking tired.
