Lauren: I have mastered the potion of Instant Spoiled Milk, therefore earning the rank of shittiest alchemist currently alive.

Day 554

Girls night!

i may sound crazy for this but. skizz-lizzie siblings. no, jimmy and lizzie aren't siblings (not by blood at least), jimmy is pearl and grian's brother. but... ANYWAYS. I don't know where this idea came from but imo they're a very underrated duo so... ya :3

Ender/Fae genetics, Skizz got more of the first half of that and Lizz(ie) got more of the second. (And then Skizz died and came back able to shapeshift just like his sister could already do, but that's besides the point)

and of course if we play into one of my very favorite headcanons. imagine. the both of them growing up in the Seelie court (their land was much kinder to mortals, given that their ruler had fallen in love with one). skizz never quite fitting with the magical aspects, never understanding the thrill everyone else seemed to get from the Hunt. never quite perfecting the laws they have to abide by. meanwhile lizzie shaping up to be the perfect next ruler of the court, and yet still finding time for her little brother. helping him realize things about himself (*winks in transmasc*) even though she doesn't quite understand it (after all, the faeries are magical creatures, borne of it, exactly how they want to be in every way).

then one day skizz makes a friend on the edge of the forest's border! a mortal, half-demon and half-rock giant, who tries to kill him at first sight (before realizing that wait, nope, that's one of the fae, BAD IDEA). They get over it and become Besties. and skizz gives up some of that immortality, that magic, in order to well and truly live. mortality sounds fun! Lizzie, of course, sends him off with a smile and a reminder of her love in the form of some (non-magic-imbued) pastries. Skizz comes back two weeks later with some new friends in tow, stays a few days, leaves, comes back again. It continues.

And then one day, he brings another friend with him: a human, some kind of mage, with a streak of green in his hair. and gods, if lizzie isn't (internally) struck dumb at the sight of him!

At least she's subtle, though. The cute human is so obvious, turning into a blushing mess whenever he tries to talk to her, and honestly it's a little embarrassing at this point!

...doesn't change the fact that, a few years later, skizz comes back to the court for a very special occasion. Seems this lineage has a bad habit of falling for mortals, one way or another!

being a mcyt is fun because yeah, this life series just ended, but this life series was just announced. also, there is a stand-alone life smp with just one season that ended a while back. yeah, they are totally different series with death being a main theme in all three

Secret Life SMP Ep. 7

I wanted to talk about this episode a bit, because omg that was a ride (please note I've only watched Gem's ep rn!!)

(also I swear I will continue this blog, just probably sporadically. December is an extremely busy time for me, but I haven't forgotten about this! Feel free to send stuff in <3)

First of all, as I'm sure people have pointed out, Gem was yellow at the beginning of this. She would have lost nothing by clicking fail at the start, but instead she chose to go through with the task, which resulted in her killing most of the server, and losing a life. Because of course she would! The task was given to Geminislay of all people for a reason, and the one episode she had in limited life she didn't get the boogey curse, everyone else was in either LiL or LL and was boogeyman at least once. Seems fitting that Gem would be the one to get the boogey task.

And that leads into my next point, lore wise? It makes perfect sense that Gem would choose to attempt her monstrosity of a task, because what does the boogeyman curse traditionally do? It gives you immense bloodlust, and the only way to cure it is by killing! While the stakes were less this time than in seasons previous, Gem was definitely affected by the bloodlust, and according to the task book it wasn't going to stop until the entire server was dead. The girl is bloodthirsty enough normally, it makes sense for her to be more susceptible to boogey/red life bloodlust.

And she was relentless. She lost ~20 hearts trying to just kill Scar, and ended up killing Bdubs, Impulse, and Pearl in the process. They chased Tango for ages. She was advocating for burning all of Cleo's dogs so they didn't attack them, she sat back and laughed during Joel's zombie apocalypse. When she and Joel went into the castle taunting the greens, she said, "Do you miss your dogs, Cleo?" which is such a low blow. This was a side of Gem that I've rarely seen, and that's after about 4 years of watching every single video she posts. She was genuinely a bit terrifying, it was amazing.

This episode was absolutely amazing, I massively enjoyed watching my favourite girl rampage. She might've failed the task but she won in my heart <3

This week's outside Pearl is from @justl-12 !! Her SL!Pearl design was actually what kinda inspired me to design Pearl a little differently because like, I love her Pearl. Scrappy lil gal. Love the flower details and whole vibe, especially her hair oooh its cute

everyone’s outfit changes slightly after every season, something new added to represent their time in that season. Etho and Joel have matching boat rings from DL, Martyn’s hair has a greenish tint from the salt water in LimL, and Mumbo still keeps his spyglass on him from LL just in case.
