It honestly baffles me that some people are so casually dismissive of animals' feelings. Istg some ppl only see pets like toys and are barely able to hide it
#vent post alert#but I'm just so frustrated#my mom's dog got hit by a car yesterday and she refused to take him to the vet#she said she doesn't have any money for it and that he's fine#physically he seems fine just bruised. I think he might have something internal but she's been very dismissive of that#anyway. he spent the whole night crying bc he was alone and terrified#I went upstairs and almost begged her to take him to the vet but she still refused saying he was fine#then she put him inside her house and he calmed down after a while#the next morning when she came downstairs to talk to me she kept being dismissive#saying he was fine in the end he just wanted attention#and I'm like yeah?? obviously?? he got hit by a car???? the poor thing is traumatized and terrified#ofc he doesn't want to be alone#and she hit me with the 'dogs don't get traumatized. he's just being dramatic'#I pointed out some dogs have psychological pregnancy so ofc they have psychological problems too#and THEN she hit me with 'but those are female dogs. males are different. because hormones' like. WHAT#this just in not only do human males not have feelings but now dog males don't either. because hormones.#I thought my mom was smarter than this tbh#istg her boyfriend is just making her more ignorant. bc this is the kind of bs I expected to hear from him but not from her#anyway I don't know what to do. I don't have money for the vet either bc I just had to pay for a surgery#we talked and she said she'll monitor the dog and if he looks like he's getting worse she'll take him to the vet#ig I'll have to settle for that#I love my mom but man. this is weird#I just didn't expect it from her#what's worse is that when it's just her and me it's one thing. but when her bf is around I feel like she gets different#like with me she agrees but then around him she doesn't?? how am I supposed to trust her that way#it's all just so weird. idk what to think or what to feel rn. Danny does the college stuff and interning for stuff at Wayne Enterprises while living in Gotham, but he doesn’t catch the Bats attention because he simultaneously is both Just Normal Enough while the Bats are Slightly Out Of Step of normal long enough that things with Danny don’t catch their attention. (Gotham as a whole is a huge ‘well this might as well happen’ place and after however many years…the threshold is a bit off for weirdness. Pair that up with normal Batdrama and role-code-switching and minor things are likely going to be subconsciously overlooked if not clocked as Dangerous.)
(Does Danny know the Bats’ IDs? … He would deny it if asked. Not his circus business though. He does think it’s smart that they at least try to cover their faces, unlike when he played the hero. He meets Clark before Superman and feels like he’s on the Office or something.)
Danny moves on with the astro-stuff (whether an astronaut, an astrophysicist, or whatever else) in another city and catches the attention of another hero as Not Normal, What’s Up With That Guy?? (two parts coincidence, one part Danny’s willingness to trust for the better, one part Uncanny) and they track his history to Gotham/WE and decide to ask the Batclan if they knew anything.
They find out nothing really is wrong with Danny (…the JLD was not called or conferred with, unfortunately for all) but it does spark the reeducation refresher of the Gotham Clan for Human Weirdness (that also educated the rest in just how messed up Gotham can be).
#and then at the end Danny shows up in space or whatever idk#part as just a normal thing he does that didn’t catch attention before#part because the heroes were not subtle and Danny wants to fuck with them#Danny’s stuff is more background to the reeducation of Gotham vigilantes’ perspective of normalcy#I figure that with enough time some things that were Big News is now not and therefore doesn’t reach far#especially is Gotham had a period of not being able to rely on anything but itself#adult Danny Fenton#he’s in his 30s#two decades dead and a year or two off of finding out he’s functionally immortal#GIW not really an issue#governmant agencies may be watching him to use him for nefarious purposes (saving money on budgets with this overpowered space weirdo)#I’m on the astronaut Danny fenton tag again#lol#dpxdc#ao3#op#Danny stared at Clark for 20 seconds without blinking during an interview and the déjà vu sense clocked him as alien#Clark was concerned when his interviewee spaced out mid word. saw him later when he saved him from a car later and the guy just…sighed?#the only thing he says as he walks away?#goddamnit wes. every effing time. should probably look into that.

#star wars#the original trilogy#boba fett#darth vader#hi. sorry for star war jumpscare. genuinely#i feel like ive kinda been on an art hiatus lately due to health stuff#i got diagnosed with a parathyroid disease recently (wahoo) so now i know why i have been feeling so bad! need more tests though#anyway. in the mean time most of the entertainment my brain can handle has been like. youtube clip compilations of shows and movies#not even the actual shows or movies. literally just sections of them on youtube#i wish i was joking#the only reason i know what happens in succession is because i have watched it in disjointed order in youtube compilations. not joking#anyway so ive learned a lot more about star wars than i ever. thought i would#mostly just the original trilogy and prequels. some of the old comics & books are interesting too#(sick to my stomach) i like darth vader he has like the same personality as ganondorf except he had no good reason for doing anything#when vader/anakin does literally anything weird or unacceptable it like. makes me laugh so hard its like jerma when he sees a car accident#boba fett’s costume design has been rotating in my head a lot too it’s very good#he’s very colorful and like. matte/unpolished compared to vader and it makes them a cool duo visually#those 2 are my favorites. vader why is the space cowboy the only person aside from sidious or tarkin who is allowed to get mad at you#sidious is my 3rd favorite. he sucks so bad as like a person that you just. you have no expectations of him except just being evil#so its just really funny like everything he does is horrible and he’s so happy all the time like good for him#i’m making it sound like ive never seen star wars before. i have i just never really cared about it until i got an endocrine disorder lmao#but yeah idk art may continue to be slow while im figuring out treatment stuff#if anyone reading this also has or has had hyperparathyroidism im wishing the strength & radiance of 1000 beautiful horses upon you

nothing intelligent or helpful to say about it really but we had SUCH a good time at One Hand Clapping. Everyone should go if they've got the chance.
#It was just me and my baby that went#He's actually almost two now but he's still my baby#I just wanted it to be us two because we're the only ones that we know that really appreciate this stuff irl#And yes#I mean we#My little ND baby is just as obsessed as I am#I mean he's not writing rpf#But the best way I can get him to do anything he doesn't want to do (nap eat new food ot st car rides etc) is to let him listen to the Beat#So yeah he loved it!!! He got annoyed when the interviews would cut into the songs but I'd just hand him a snack and he was good#But yeah for the most part he was just thrilled#I think his favorite part was the backyard bit he was GLUED lol and just beaming#It was a two hour drive to the theater so we made a whole day of it#We went to the mall and he played at the play place and we looked at toys for his birthday#and we got chicken nuggets and french fries and ice cream#And we had little matching crochet sweater vests#And it was so sweet for me and honestly if anyone thinks I shouldn't bring my toddler to a movie theater#Paul and Linda would very much approve so you can chill#but yeah anyways
