For months I had been seeing these little plastic boxes used in random people’s hot wheels collections, and just recently I finally managed to grab a package myself.

I tried one with mom’s Chevrolet Chevette, a gift I got for her years ago to commemorate her first car (hers wasn’t a dragster tho hehe), and man it looks as cool as in the online photos, so:

Took me a good two hours to do this, but man it was worth it! They look so cool now, and finally the issue of dust is dealt with for good. I just need to ensure I clean the boxes carefully so they don’t scratch to hell.

That collection has been growing for years now, it’s so great to finally being able to properly display it.

A pity the boxes are too small for the 1/72 armored vehicles at the front, I think there are bigger ones for them, so maybe at a later date I can try looking for some, but for now I’m pleased as punch with my display shelf!
