God. God I'm completely fucking insane about Dick and Jason

Their dynamic is everything to me. They have such a complicated relationship and history. They've been enemies and friends and almost-brothers. The what-ifs and should-have-beens and might-haves linger in between them so heavily. The guilt and grief sticks to their relationship and might never go away. They keep hurting each other but they love each other so much and they want to keep trying, to understand each other

Because that's what love is!! Relationships aren't perfect but that doesn't matter! They keep trying and they WANT to keep trying! Jason sees Dick for who he is and still thinks he's the most amazing thing he's ever seen. Dick has seen Jason at his absolute worst and still wants him around. They've both wanted the other dead and they've fought and gotten each other bloody and they still come back and offer a hand up.

They SEE each other- and that's terrifying. And they love each other so so deeply. The commitment, the sense of duty and obligation, it's all there. They don't HAVE to keep caring or trying- but they do regardless and God isn't that what love is? Trying?

Just. God they're so devoted to each other even when they've been hurt, even when they don't quite know how to show it or get the other to understand. But they try.

God, they try.

i really can't phrase it right for the life of me but does it make sense when i say i cant help but love belarus a lot because for some reason i see her as a nationperson as being closer to being a person than a nation. with how unbelievably weird she is it just feels soo right to characterize her as this girlcreature whose government demands no real nation duties from her because she's intrinsically messed up as a person, with nothing to do with her nation identity, and was enabled by her family her entire upbringing and it's less of a hassle to just let her do whatever. and she doesn't understand why this can't be the case for them as well! why can't they all live as a family! she'll do something. she'll do something so that they'll never be separated again.

I love how zolu fics that included marriage are usually between two extremes:

Either they got married in their solo sailing days/before meeting nami and have been married the whole time.

Or they're going through the slowest of slowest burns ever spanning the entirety of one piece and vow to get married after they fulfill their dreams.

Imagine if the show decided to juxtapose Buddie's first kiss with the BuckTommy kiss with how Eddie initiates it compared to how Tommy initiated it.

When Tommy kissed Buck, he did it while Buck was rambling but not before staring at him with this stone expression that gave the impression that he kissed Buck just to get him to be quiet.

Imagine the same scenario for the Buddie kiss.

Buck is rambling on about something but instead of looking on with a serious face, Eddie is just staring at him with a fond smile and he either waits for Buck to stop talking before he leans in or he gently interrupts Buck mid-sentence and when Buck asks why, he just stares at him for another second before leaning in to kiss him.

Bonus points if Eddie pulls away and Buck is shook, but immediately overcomes it and leans back in for another smooch.

thoughts on Ginny and Harry as a couple?

There are a lot of people who find their romance in HBP forced. I don't think it's forced so much as underwritten, and the books don't get the chemistry quite right (though the movies certainly don't, either). There's potential, but they just don't get enough actual scenes of substance (besides Harry thinking she's pretty or feeling jealous of Dean) for a lot of readers to buy that they're not only in love, but deeply enough in love to break up, get back together, and wind up married.

That's not to say I don't see the appeal. There's a very cool scene in Book 5 where Harry's doing a woe-is-me-Chosen-One act, and Ginny effortlessly puts him in his place about it by reminding him that she was possessed by Voldemort at eleven, which is a rare glimpse into her character and also a great synecdoche for their relationship — Ginny is a grounding presence who, like Ron and Hermione, isn't going to be awed by his past adventures because she knew him before they happened. In that respect, Ginny's probably one of the few women Harry could feasibly wind up with, because he only ever seems comfortable around people (let alone girls) who can see past the Chosen-One schtick and treat him like a normo (see: Ron, Hermione, the Weasleys, Luna, Hagrid). True to type, he doesn't get interested in Ginny at all until she's ditched her celebrity crush and ceased to view him as an idol, because in his heart of hearts, Harry wants to be a normal boy, and it's stressed over and over that part of what he likes about his relationship with Ginny is how normal it feels. He kind of has a horribly supercharged version the celebrity dating problem: after the Battle of Hogwarts, anyone he meets is going to know him first as Harry Potter, Chosen One, Boy Who Lived, and Actually Fucking Resurrected Messiah of the Wizarding World, which is... I mean, it's possible that there are witches out there who could get over that, but Harry's not an extroverted guy, and I'm not sure how he'd go about finding them. Ginny's the one who's been there since the beginning, doesn't need anything about him or his past explained to her, and actually likes him for who he is.

When you look at it that way, it's not surprising he married his high school girlfriend. She's one of the few people still alive who doesn't see him as a demigod.

Ok from glimpses of the cancelled BJ goes Hawaiian script, plus clips I've seen from the cartoon, and now the sequel, Betelgeuse and Lydia always seem to have a scene (or scenes; might have been more than one in the cartoon) dancing together, except in the first movie. But all the media that has come after has had them dance together.

So I fully expect another dance scene in the final movie. I think dancing is just part of the characters' aesthetic. 💚
